Jiang Anan finally found a suitable shop.

She didn’t feel at ease checking it out on her own, so she insisted on dragging Mrs. Jiang and Anning along to have a look together.

Jiang Anan thought that Mrs. Jiang had more social experience and that Anning was smarter than her, so it would only be no issue if the two of them felt it was alright after checking.

Once Mrs. Jiang heard that Jiang Anan had found a suitable shop, she was quite fond of the idea.

She was currently resting at ho with nothing to do and wanted to give her eldest daughter a helping hand.

Anning had a more flexible schedule, so when An Nan asked her for help, she naturally would not decline.

However, before heading out, Anning still dressed up nicely.

The original person’s obsession was to live a spectacular life, so Anning really couldn’t afford to step out looking sloppy.

She wore high-waisted, slim-fit trousers, paired with a white basic shirt, and layered with a warm-colored blazer. Instead of wearing stiletto heels, she put on a pair of white casual shoes with a bit of a heel.

After changing clothes, Anning also put on makeup, dressing herself up exceptionally beautifully.

Mrs. Jiang was getting a bit impatient waiting for Anning: "What’s all this for? You’re dressing up like this just to look at a shop? What a fuss."

On the contrary, Anan was particularly envious of Anning: "You look too pretty like this, I an, you have a good base. With a little effort, you’re even prettier than those celebrities."

Anning then pulled Anan over: "Let give you a makeover as well."

Anan always kept her hair short for convenience and never paid attention to her hairstyle, leaving her hair in a ssy state. Her skincare also wasn’t up to par; although her skin was fair, it appeared to be quite rough. Additionally, Anan didn’t wear makeup, which made her look even more ordinary.

Truth be told, Anan’s features were quite good. She and Anning were sisters; Anning’s features were delicate, and Anan’s were not far off.

Anning took out her makeup and started to apply it on Anan.

She was doing simple, everyday makeup, which didn’t take a long ti.

In just about fifteen to twenty minutes, when Anan stood in front of Mrs. Jiang again, even Mrs. Jiang couldn’t believe this was her own daughter.

How had her ordinary and plain-looking daughter changed her appearance so dramatically?

Anning had managed to style the ssy hair into layers, enhancing the face shape and making Anan’s sowhat large face appear smaller and more defined. Her features now looked more refined, and with the addition of makeup enhancing her whole deanor, Anan stood there, looking so pretty that Mrs. Jiang could only admire her.

Anning, linking arms with Anan, said: "I’ll teach you so tricks another day. Take good care of your skin, and I’ll show you how to do a few everyday makeup looks. Just put on a little makeup before you go out each ti; it won’t take long."

An Nan also thought she looked especially beautiful now, and she was quite convinced by Anning: "Alright, I’ll listen to you."

The two sisters, all dolled up, followed Mrs. Jiang out of the house.

Even Mrs. Jiang felt a surge of confidence, feeling as if she had the wind at her heels as she walked.

They had just descended the stairs when they ran into Aunt Sun and her daughter Liu Fang from upstairs at the entrance of the corridor.

Upon seeing Mrs. Jiang, Aunt Sun imdiately smiled and approached them: "Oh, where are you three off to? Xiao Ning and Xiao Nan are all dressed up so pretty, could it be that they are going out for matchmaking?"

Mrs. Jiang forced a smile: "Not at all, we’re just going out for a walk; I’ve been sick at ho for the past few days and almost bored to death. The kids are so filial; they insisted on taking out for a stroll, even saying they’d buy a couple of outfits."

When it ca to buying clothes, Aunt Sun was unstoppable with her unrelated chatter.

"You really should enjoy your shopping. You see, I think you just don’t pay enough attention to it. Look at what you usually wear; it’s too cheap. Although we shouldn’t always go for big-na brands, the clothes still have to be of decent quality. Look at , this outfit, especially this coat alone cost over a thousand. Feel this; the texture is completely different. I tell you, you really have to be picky when choosing clothes."

Mrs. Jiang could barely keep up her smile: "Yes, of course, one must be picky when buying clothes."

Aunt Sun was even more proud: "Speaking of which, I really have to thank your family for sothing. The other day, Aunt Zhou ntioned she wanted to introduce a fellow to your second daughter, but you turned it down, saying your second daughter is still young and not in a hurry to date. Aunt Zhou had already set the expectations with the gentleman, and since you declined, it was a bit awkward for them. Coincidentally, she saw our Xiao Fang and thought she was just as good as your second daughter, so the introduction went to us instead. You have no idea, that young man is really a good catch, both of his parents are university professors, they have two apartnts in the city center and another one in University City, and he is an only child who’s quite impressive, saying sothing about graduating from a prestigious overseas university, and he’s not bad-looking either. Tsk, we really have to thank your family for rejecting it, it turned out to be a windfall for our Xiao Fang. Actually, if you hadn’t rejected, it might have turned out to be Xiao Fang’s match after all, only with more complications."

Aunt Sun’s smugness made Mrs. Jiang feel as if sothing was stuck in her chest, hardly bearable.

"Is that so? Congratulations then. But our Ningning is still young, there’s no rush for this."

After Mrs. Jiang finished speaking, she took Anning and An Nan and left.

Aunt Sun deliberately called out from behind: "Fang, bring Wu Fan ho so day for to et. By the way, how have your dates been recently? I need to prepare so pretty clothes for you, dress up my daughter beautifully... we have to make the right choices. We can’t be like so people who, just because they have the face of a fox spirit, they don’t consider others. You should know, no matter how good a job one finds, it’s not as valuable as marrying into a good family. If you truly marry into the Wus, you’ll be set for the second half of your life."

Mrs. Jiang’s face turned extrely sour upon hearing this.

Mrs. Jiang slowed her pace after they had walked so distance and looked at Anning: "Rember what I said, you’ll have to find a match even better than that Wu fellow in the future, or else I’ll have to endure Aunt Sun’s nagging for a lifeti."

Anning hadn’t said anything yet, but An Nan was displeased: "Mom, what are you talking about? Can choosing a partner really be compared like this? Even if we find soone better and we don’t like him, it’ll be a waste. Anyway, whoever I choose in the future must be soone I like, regardless of wealth, soone I respect and can talk to. Otherwise, life would be tasteless."

"You don’t know anything."

Mrs. Jiang was even more displeased upon hearing this and slapped An Nan hard: "Silly girl, what do you know? What’s this about regardless of wealth? If you find soone poor, every day you’ll worry about trivial things, and by then even the best relationship could be gone, and it might turn husband and wife into enemies. Haven’t you heard ’a poor couple’s hundred woes’?"

Seeing Mrs. Jiang losing her temper, Anning quickly smiled and intervened: "Mom, I’ll listen to you, we need to find soone good, don’t worry. With my looks and education, I’m sure I can find soone really good. When I look for a partner, I’ll definitely consult you and dad, and if you’re not happy with him, then it certainly won’t happen."

Mrs. Jiang’s anger turned to joy: "That’s my sensible Ningning."

An Nan just glanced at Anning, cursing inwardly at Anning’s flippancy and sycophancy.
