Fang Xiaolian had high hopes.
She originally thought she could use the ti on duty with Chu Ming to win his favor, at least gaining an ally on her side.
She knew Chu Ming liked listening to stories and loved music even more.
She could use this to draw Chu Ming in, showcasing her talents during these two hours, so that she could rely on Chu Ming to resist Anning.
There’s another point Fang Xiaolian considered.
She knew they were now being broadcasted live.
In this interstellar era, with a vast population, there were billions watching her in the live broadcast room.
If so many people heard her stories and listened to her singing, she could solidify her fanbase. When her fanbase grows, her career would flourish.
Fang Xiaolian believed that she had entertainnt works from another world to rely on, which naturally made her superior and of a higher echelon.
Even if Anning seed impressive now, being able to accomplish so much in the virtual world and attract many fans.
But, after the reality show, if she couldn’t co up with good works, who would rember her in the long run?
However, Fang Xiaolian was different; she had countless good works.
She could completely transfer them to this world.
She continuously brought out new and good works to maintain a sense of freshness, and over ti, the audience would grow to like her more and more.
Her career would thrive, and by the ti she stood at the top of the entertainnt industry, Anning would be nothing.
The humiliation she suffered today, she vowed to repay it one day.
But no matter how well she planned, Chu Ming didn’t play along.
Chu Ming ignored her and even replied sharply, making her feel utterly humiliated.
She hung her head and cried, hoping Chu Ming would comfort her.
Chu Ming cursed softly, then ignored Fang Xiaolian.
After a while, seeing that Chu Ming wasn’t paying attention to her, Fang Xiaolian felt bored and leaned against the bed to rest, soon falling asleep.
In doing so, the audience grew to dislike her even more.
Many of Chu Ming’s fans started cursing Fang Xiaolian: "This woman is really annoying; she’s leaving my Ming to be the only one on duty?"
"Why should he have to coax her? Why should he listen to her singing?"
"My Ming is right; singing isn’t important right now. Survival is."
Despite Chu Ming’s harsh words to Fang Xiaolian, he won the audience’s favor.
Everyone felt that although Chu Ming’s persona broke, his straightforwardness was very refreshing, not being the pretentious type, which gave him an unexpectedly charming appeal.
Imagine, he’s shy and innocent in front of people, but behind the scenes, he’s bold and sarcastic, a contrast that’s sohow quite endearing.
Seeing Fang Xiaolian asleep, Chu Ming was also angry.
However, he didn’t wake her up.
He sat straight, keeping his eyes fixed on the door, a display of serious responsibility.
He could handle loneliness, sitting there staring for two hours.
Ti passed quickly, and when ti was up, Chu Ming went to wake up the others, excluding Fang Xiaolian.
Anning and the others woke up but didn’t wake Fang Xiaolian.
However, He Gang and Ma Fendou’s opinions of Fang Xiaolian diminished.
Initially thinking she was polite and nice, they now felt she was too spoiled, lacked awareness of the situation, and was irresponsible. It was her turn to be on duty, yet she was sleeping soundly, leaving Chu Ming alone on duty, only for Chu Ming’s patience not to confront her. Others might not be so forgiving.
Ma Fendou stretched and handed a biscuit to Ning Kexin: "Xinxin, have so."
Ning Kexin turned away, taking several biscuits to share with everyone: "Let’s all have so."
So, the five of them gathered to eat, with no one thinking to save so for Fang Xiaolian, nor calling out to her.
By the ti Fang Xiaolian woke up, everyone had wiped their mouths clean.
She had no idea the five of them had eaten behind her back.
Since yesterday, everyone had eaten very little and only had the kind of food with no grease. After a day of fatigue and hunger, even eating a bit didn’t make them feel full.
Anning and the others still felt hungry, so needless to say, Fang Xiaolian did too.
She couldn’t stomach those coarse biscuits in the morning and didn’t eat much in the evening, so now her stomach growled with hunger.
Seeing that no one else ntioned feeling hungry, she didn’t dare say anything either.
No one reminded her.
Unknowingly, she was isolated by the other five.
Nobody liked her, let alone the five who secretly ate behind her back, forming a tacit agreent.
Fang Xiaolian hadn’t realized it yet and just smiled at Ma Fendou and He Gang: "Sorry, I fell asleep without realizing, and Chu Ming didn’t wake ."
Sohow, it beca Chu Ming’s fault for not waking her.
Chu Ming smirked without responding to Fang Xiaolian.
Anning had been sitting, calculating the ti, and suddenly stood up. She wrapped her fist in a piece of cloth and punched the car window, shattering it.
Her action left the five of them gaping, their mouths agape like dumbfounded geese.
As Anning shattered the window, the train emitted strange and unpleasant sounds.
Anning scrambled out, skillfully crawling through the window.
She turned back: "Hurry up and get out."
He Gang said nothing and leaped out.
Ning Kexin nimbly slipped out, followed by Ma Fendou and Chu Ming, and finally Fang Xiaolian.
Fang Xiaolian, either intentionally or not, cried and trembled: "I’m scared."
Anning reached out to pull her: "Hurry, there’s no ti."
By this ti, the train was still moving but very slowly, about to co to a stop.
Fang Xiaolian still didn’t reach out.
Chu Ming was furious: "If you don’t jump, fine, you’ll just stay here and be dissected."
Only then did Fang Xiaolian grit her teeth and grab Anning’s hand.
Anning was anxious too, pulling Fang Xiaolian out with force.
In the rush, Fang Xiaolian got cut by glass shards as she ca out.
She was quite angry: "How could you do this, you did it on purpose to make get hurt."
"Shut up."
Anning’s brows flashed with impatience, using the cloth to bundle Fang Xiaolian, carrying her off in a run.
Chu Ming and the other three quickly followed.
As Chu Ming ran, he quietly cursed Fang Xiaolian: "She’s so high-maintenance, such a hassle."
Ma Fendou also had issues with Fang Xiaolian: "They’re both won, but why could Xinxin jump while she couldn’t? If she had jumped properly, she wouldn’t have been injured, only blaming others instead of reflecting on herself."
Ning Kexin gave Ma Fendou a glance but smiled slightly, making Ma Fendou particularly excited.
He Gang frowned, his impression of Fang Xiaolian worsening.
At such a critical mont for escape, Fang Xiaolian’s hesitance was truly unbearable to watch.
