When the last of all the nutrient cabins opened, Chu Ming was the first to step out.
Once he was out, he thought about maintaining his simple, naive persona, but realized it had already collapsed in the ga, so he decided not to bother. Whatever cos, cos.
He Gang and the others also opened up, deciding to speak freely.
"Where’s my sister?"
Chu Ming grabbed a staff mber and asked first.
He Gang and the others looked over too.
The staff mber shook his head: "No idea, Ms. Cui has already left, should have gone with her parents."
Chu Ming irritably ran his hand through his hair, thinking what to do now, not even knowing where Sister Ning’s family lives.
Ning Kexin pulled Chu Ming’s arm: "Don’t worry, we can go to her company to find her."
That’s true.
Chu Ming’s eyes lit up: "Alright, let’s do that."
In no ti, the agents and assistants of several people arrived.
They gathered their things and headed ho.
Fang Xiaolian went ho, took a bath, changed her clothes, opened her main terminal, and began writing.
When it cos to writing, she was actually just copying.
During the interstellar era, people’s entertainnt lives were quite impoverished.
For over a thousand years, people were focused on developing technology and fighting the Insect Clan, leaving no ti for the entertainnt industry to develop. When life finally stabilized and they wanted to develop it, they found out that many things had been lost.
There are literary websites on the Star Network now, but the novels on them aren’t really good. Fang Xiaolian doesn’t think they’re that great.
Most romances are set in warti, often about officers and battlefield dical practitioners falling in love, with a few set in schools, but really, there are very few of anything else.
Most other novels are about the interstellar wars from over a thousand years ago.
As for even earlier, like human life on the Mother Star, hardly anyone writes about it.
The information from that era is too lost, and even historians know very little about those tis. Who would want to write about that?
It’s the sa for music; so can play the piano, a minority can play the violin, beyond that are interstellar-era instrunts, and very few people can play anything else.
Of course, Fang Xiaolian isn’t well-versed in these aspects either. Before crossing over, she was just an ordinary girl who hadn’t learned any musical instrunts.
If she wants to beco famous, she might as well write novels and act in films.
She had already written one novel before, and the response was quite good.
Now, she wants to write a story set in the Mother Star era. She knows that people in the interstellar era are curious about life on the Mother Star.
Fang Xiaolian began a new novel and started writing.
Once she’s more well-known, she plans to adapt a fantasy cultivation novel.
After resting for a while, Anning wanted to go out for a walk.
She changed her clothes, wearing comfortable flat shoes, and walked down the long hallway.
As she reached the corner, a door opened, revealing a sowhat familiar face.
"Miss Cui."
The person called out.
Anning smiled and nodded: "General Xiao."
This person was Xiao Gen.
He ca out of the room, closing the door behind him: "Would Miss Cui like to go for a walk?"
Anning agreed.
Xiao Gen laughed: "Let help Miss Cui get familiar with the surroundings. Besides, I’m tired of staying indoors and want to get so fresh air."
"Alright."
Anning didn’t refuse.
Xiao Gen took Anning downstairs: "Would Miss Cui like to stroll in the garden or go outside for a bit?"
While descending the stairs, Xiao Gen asked Anning.
"Let’s take a walk in the garden."
Anning replied, and once downstairs, Xiao Gen introduced: "Our garden is divided into two sections. Since my mother loves roses, a rose garden was built on the west side just to plant roses. The East Garden is built to resemble the ancient Mother Star era, complete with various flowers and so small architectural features. If you’re interested, we can take a look."
"Sure."
Anning smiled at Xiao Gen: "Let’s visit the East Garden then, as I am quite interested in the ancient history of the Mother Star."
Outside, a small tourist flying car was parked at the entrance.
Xiao Gen said: "The East Garden is a bit far from the main residence. Walking would take a while, let’s take this over."
Anning agreed while marveling internally at how vast the Xiao Family’s residence must be if visiting the garden requires a tour vehicle.
She recalled soone bragging in the modern era about his family’s nanny and gardener considering divorce because they couldn’t handle a long-distance relationship—a story tinged with exaggeration, but if placed in the Xiao Family’s context, it didn’t seem far-fetched.
Anning climbed into the car with a smile, followed by Xiao Gen.
The tour car flew low, and Anning began observing the scenery below.
Xiao Gen, sitting beside her, provided introductions.
Truth be told, looking at Xiao Gen from the outside, he genuinely appeared to be a good person.
He was handso, a general in the Alliance, had an excellent family background, and seed very mild-tempered—knowledgeable and talented. Conversing with him felt like bathing in spring breezes.
Such a person is very likable and understandably attractive to young girls, which explains why Fang Xiaolian eventually selected him.
However, that’s just the surface.
There’s little good you can expect within Xiao Gen.
Anning possessed an extraordinarily high spiritual power, with keen senses.
She could feel an unsettling aura emanating from Xiao Gen, perceiving the cold lurking within him.
It showed that his true character wasn’t as gentle as it seed.
Xiao Gen spoke animatedly, with a calm and appreciative look while glancing at Anning.
Anning cooperatively listened attentively, occasionally asking questions.
"It looks like you’re truly interested in the ancient history of the Mother Star."
As the tour car ca to a stop, Xiao Gen admired: "I haven’t t a lady whose interests align so closely with mine in quite so ti."
Anning smiled: "It’s my privilege."
Then Anning stood outside a garden.
She looked at the vibrant colors and the faintly visible ancient buildings nestled among the woods: "It’s quite beautiful here."
"Let’s have a look."
Xiao Gen gestured at Anning to go inside.
Anning pushed the door open and entered, with Xiao Gen following behind.
"My family has many collections. If you’re interested, I can give you a tour, including ancient ceramics from the Mother Star era, said to be quite renowned and invaluable during the Middle Ages."
Anning feigned a look of astonishnt: "Really? I love that stuff, can I see it?"
"Of course."
With a smile on his face, Xiao Gen’s true thoughts weren’t perceptible.
He pointed toward a patch of flower and trees: "These are peonies, though rely resembling them, as the Mother Star’s peonies can’t be grown here; those are crabapples, and here is a forest of peach blossoms..."
Regardless of the season, flowers and trees can be found blooming here. Such peculiar scenes are sothing only witnessed in the interstellar era.
