The people far away in the Capital City, after receiving the letter from Funan, also conducted a secret investigation into the Fancy Red Pavilion: first, to find out who was behind the Fancy Red Pavilion supporting it, and second, to see if there were any ladies from the Fancy Red Pavilion around them.
Through this investigation, Old Mu discovered that in the Luo Residence there were three concubines from two households who were from the Fancy Red Pavilion, and so it wasn’t long before these three concubines died of illness or were beaten to death for making mistakes.
As for the Mu Family, it was clean, without a single one.
However, the true mastermind behind the Fancy Red Pavilion remained undetected, and it was unknown who it was.

"Are Yangyang and Lele’s clothes changed yet?"
After breakfast, Yang Chuxia instructed on so matters and then went upstairs to see the two little buns.
"All changed! Our family’s two young masters look just like the children from the New Year paintings wearing these clothes," bead Little Li Mama as she looked at Lele and Yangyang dressed in their new outfits.
The two buns, Yangyang dressed in a red satin cotton-padded jacket and trousers, and Lele in a treasure blue satin cotton-padded jacket and trousers, each wore a gold amulet neck chain and still had on the gold bracelets that Brother An had given them. They wore tiger-head hats on their heads and tiger-head shoes on their feet. The two buns’ little faces were fair and smooth, with sparkling eyes that turned this way and that, looking incredibly cute.
"Let’s go, let’s go visit the Great-Grandpa’s house and see our little uncle," Chuxia said.
Yang Chuxia picked up Lele, while Little Li Mama carried Yangyang. Mingcui and Ming Liu each carried spare clothes for the buns along with their diapers and other items, and pushed a small cart.
Today was the full moon celebration for Yang Dayong’s son, and Ms.Liu Junior had given birth in November; today, they were going to attend the feast.
Upon leaving the house, they saw from a distance Ms.Wang and Yang Xiayun Luo Linyu waiting at the gate. The two young girls had gone to find Ms.Wang early in the morning.
"Mom!"
"Why didn’t you use a cloak to wrap the child?" Ms.Wang reached out to touch Yangyang’s little hand as she spoke.
"I brought the cloak, but today looks quite nice, so I didn’t use it."
Although it was already mid-December, Funan was never particularly cold in winter, and besides, they were dressed in cotton-padded jackets and trousers.
"Yes, it’s not cold. This little hand is warm," Ms.Wang reached out to the Yangyang bun again, "Yangyang, do you want Great-Grandma to hold you?"
Yangyang bun was familiar with Ms.Wang. When you reached out to him, he would reach back at you in response. Ms.Wang was delighted and kissed him several tis, then they heard him chuckle.
"Such a good boy, Yangyang does look beautiful today," Ms.Wang admired. The bright red jacket made his little face look even rosier and whiter, so adorably cute.
"Mom, what gift did you prepare for Qingkang?" Yang Qingkang was the na of Yang Dayong’s son, nad by Land Officer Yang and of the sa generation as Yang Qingrui and the others.
"I prepared two sets of small clothes and a longevity lock. What about you?"
"I brought a neck chain and a bolt of cotton cloth. As for clothes, I can’t sew, so I’d rather let them go and have the little aunt make them," Yang Chuxia said with a laugh, "My gift’s not light, is it?"
Ms.Wang nodded upon hearing this, "Not light at all. It’s considered a generous gift for our farming family. Besides, your granduncle and Uncle Dayong both have good relations with our family, and they’ve been good to you siblings, so it’s appropriate to give sothing more substantial."
"That’s what I think too. Uncle Dayong’s marital affairs have been bumpy, and it’s been really not easy for him to have a son now," Yang Chuxia added.
"Isn’t that so? There was Qian Yuhua before, and then ca Shen Qiu." Speaking of Shen Qiu, Ms.Wang asked, "How is Shen Qiu doing now?"
