Seeing how deliciously Little Yangyang ate, Yang Chuxia couldn’t help but want to laugh.
"Mom, this is yummy." Sensing his mother watching him, he lifted his head and smiled.
Ye Zi’an just chuckled, "For a glutton like you, there’s nothing that isn’t tasty."

Just as the rainy season was about to start, an incident occurred. It wasn’t a major event, but just hearing about it made people angry.

The story actually begins much earlier.

It was known that once this channel was dug through, it would connect with a river in Fushui County, which in turn led to the sea. As such, the Yanghe River would no longer be a dead river with only inflow and no outflow.
But now it had been blocked, and digging was prohibited.
What’s worse, this event didn’t just concern Mianyang County; it also involved Fushui County.
The boundary between Mianyang County and Fushui County was marked underground by a large rock and a stone monunt. One side of the monunt belonged to Mianyang, the other to Fushui County.
And on the border of the two counties, each had its own village: Stone Village in Mianyang and Fushan Village in Fushui County.
The issue arose in these two villages.
The people of Stone Village claid they received too little land compensation for the channel, similar to the situation that had previously erupted between the east and west of Yangdong Village.
Fushan Village had a bigger problem, arguing they didn’t receive any compensation at all, so why should others dig through their land?
"Start by telling about Stone Village’s situation. The incident that occurred in Yangdong Village should have been well known, so where did Stone Village get the nerve to repeat the sa thing?"
"Master, the land requisition in Stone Village took so land from the villagers themselves and so that was collectively owned by the village. But regardless of whether it was personal or collective land, none of it was high-quality; it was all inferior. The compensation we initially offered, however, was based on the rates for high-quality land."
The channel supervisor had always been Ye Yi, who explained, "Back then, Ye Si handed over all of the requisition compensation money to the Land Officer of Stone Village to distribute, but what he gave to the villagers was the compensation ant for inferior land."
