The innkeeper retreated two steps backward in fright, intimidated by Ye Er’s aggressiveness.
Ye Liu stepped forward and patted his shoulder, "What are you scared of? My master is a colleague of your County Magistrate Peng; it was County Magistrate Peng who told us to stay here. For such a small matter, can’t you just send soone to County Magistrate Peng’s residence to ask?"

Ye Zi’an had no objection to this.
The innkeeper, speechless, marveled at their request for two suckling pigs, and especially at this early hour; he muttered, not without worry for their health.
"Is Peng Lide at the residence?" Ye Zi’an inquired once they were in the room.
"Master, you truly have a divine insight," Ye Wu gave a thumbs up and exclaid, "That Peng Lide must be the only corrupt official in Fushui County over these years. He’s not in the county yan, but he’s staying at his own estate instead. He’s not residing at the official residence granted by the court but bought a mansion outside. Master, that mansion, tsk-tsk, is even more lavish than the one in Yangshu Village that you had built."
Hearing that, Ye Er angrily slapped him, "Cut the crap and get to the point. And don’t compare our master’s residence with that Peng scum; our master’s residence was built by the lady of the house even before the master beca an official."
Holding his forehead, Ye Wu glared at Ye Er, thinking resentfully, bully just because you’re better at martial arts, huh? I’ll make you pay.
He then continued, "Master, when I sneaked into Peng’s mansion, that damned old man was still in bed with a woman. The yan’s steward told him that you were turned away, and that damned old man even praised the steward.
