"I’m not a girl! I’m a little man, a man who will be a General!" Yangyang struggled for a bit but then obediently nestled into Dad’s arms, though his mouth still wouldn’t soften.
"Wife, this thing called an ’airplane’ sort of looks like a huge eagle," Ye Zi’an examined the object in his hand, realizing his wife seed to know quite a bit.
"Indeed, it does resemble one, with wings on both sides."
"If we could make this thing, using it on the battlefield would probably be..." He didn’t finish his sentence, but Yang Chuxia understood what he ant.
She shrugged, smiling, "Too bad it can’t be made."
"I will make it happen! I’ll take it with to beco a General." As he spoke, he nodded vigorously, "Mhm, I’ll start off as a soldier’s General."
Yang Chuxia and Ye Zi’an exchanged glances but didn’t have the heart to crush his dreams; such a thing wasn’t easy to create.
"Mom, can I have this? Please?" Yangyang held up the piece of paper in his hand.
"Sure, you keep it."
Afterward, he treated the folded paper as if it were a priceless treasure, tucking it neatly into his pouch. Even at bedti, he wouldn’t let anyone touch his pouch.

"Wife, how are you feeling? Are you doing okay?"
They had been traveling for over ten days, driving the carriage very slowly out of concern for her pregnancy. Moreover, with the pleasant weather in March and the inviting sights and slls, their journey had beco even slower.
"I’m fine, quite well. This child is behaving too, not causing a fuss." Aside from the first few days when she couldn’t stand the sll of oil and grease, she had been doing very well, able to eat and drink without issue.
"That’s great. Such a well-behaved child must be a girl," he said, touching Yang Chuxia’s belly gently, his eyes almost brimming with tenderness.
Lele glanced at him and said nonchalantly, "Mom said that when she was pregnant with and my brother, we were also very well-behaved."
The implication being that they, despite being well-behaved, were boys, so their father shouldn’t get his hopes too high.
Ye Zi’an could easily understand Eldest’s hidden ssage and glared at him annoyed, the rascal child always ready to rain on his parade.
Yangyang then said, "Brother, you made dad blush with embarrassnt."
"Silly, it’s ’blush with anger,’" Lele corrected.
"Hey, if dad’s old, blushing with embarrassnt makes sense too," Yangyang argued, "Dad is a lot older than us, after all."
"True, anyone older than us is old," Lele agreed, nodding.
Yang Chuxia noticed Ye Zi’an’s chest was heaving a bit more intensely, his expression a bit darker.
Looking at her sons who were earnestly discussing the topic, she couldn’t help but cover her face. Oh, mischievous children, is it really okay to debate whether your dad is old right in front of him?
Ye Zi’an felt his world collapsing inside. He was only in his twenties, how could he be old? Indeed, a daughter might be cuter after all.
"You two, shut your mouths!" he finally bellowed, "When we get ho, each of you write out a hundred characters. If one is missing, you’ll get the stick."

Suddenly, the two looked at each other and both saw disbelief in the other’s eyes.
"Wow... Dad, I’m sorry, I didn’t say anything just now..." Yangyang quickly clung to Ye Zi’an.
Lele spoke mournfully, "Dad, if you punish us in front of our sister, she might think you’re not gentle and might not like you."
"Heh heh..." Ye Zi’an chuckled coldly at that, the little rascal was even making threats now.
