"Yes, Mother, I’ll go at once." The First Madam Luo turned and left, spoke a few words to the maid outside, and upon returning, threw several vicious glances at Yang Chuxia. If looks could kill, Yang Chuxia would now be riddled with holes.

Seeing that Liu was a poor boy, Old Madam Luo understood the matter was fake, most likely soone Yang Chuxia had found from sowhere, knowing her granddaughter’s character; it was impossible for her to be involved with such a person.
"How could it not be clear?" Liu was anxious upon hearing that, "It’s very clear. I t Linfei three years ago, and we agreed that I’d co propose to the Luo family after she ca of age. She feared the Luo family wouldn’t let in, so she even gave a keepsake."
Just as Liu was speaking, Luo Linfei entered the room. "Linfei!"
And with Liu’s exclamation, Luo Linfei landed a slap on his face.
"What are you doing? The Luo family prides itself on rules every day; is this the rule? Do you just hit before words are even spoken?" Liu was brought by her, so Yang Chuxia naturally had to defend him.
"You all co in." Angrily grumbling, Yang Chuxia continued, "This person was brought by , so I must see him out properly. You all listen to ; if anyone dares to strike again, hit them back."
Due to her protection, Luo Linfei, who had by now understood the whole situation, nearly lunged at her in fury.

Luo Linfei pointed at Liu with disdain all over her face, "Even if I were to make a private agreent, I’d find soone from a good family, good looking. Look at him, shabby and ugly; I’d have to be blind to fancy soone like him!"
Luo Linfei was furious, but in contrast to her anger, Liu remained much calr. "Linfei, how can you say that? Didn’t you tell you didn’t care about my family background? Linfei, look, I’ve finally saved enough money. I’m here to propose. How can you abandon ?"
