"No, Pretty Dad is not adorable." Yangyang turned his head, put his hands on his hips, and said loudly, "Pretty Dad, there’s a saying that goes ’see through sothing but don’t say it,’ and ’it’s rare to be muddle-headed.’ I’m just trying to make Mom happy, can’t you pretend not to know anything? Why did you have to expose ?"

Yang Chuxia thought about what Ye Zi’an had said to her in the carriage earlier.

"Mom..." Lele was puzzled. Why was his mom so affectionate today?
"Son, is it really okay to be so split like this?" Such an adorably soft child, yet so scheming; the contrast was just too much.
"Mom, I have a hunch that what you just said isn’t a complint." Before she could change her mind, Lele spoke up again.
Hearing this, Yang Chuxia quickly shook her head, "Your hunch is wrong. Mom thinks you’re too smart, and she’s extrely proud."
"Really?" Lele clearly didn’t quite believe it, so he looked at Ye Zi’an, only to find Ye Zi’an wasn’t looking at him at all.
With both adults acting so strangely, he couldn’t help but think a little more. When he returned to his room, he asked Ye Er, "Do you think Mom and Dad found out what I’ve been up to? Why are they acting so weird today?"
"They probably haven’t, right? I was careful when I went out, and besides, I’m not the one who sells the dicinal herbs directly."
"That’s odd. Could it be that Mom noticed one of my jade pendants is missing?" he thought it shouldn’t be likely, as the pawned jade pendant was identical to his brother’s. Lately, to avoid arousing suspicion, he even borrowed his brother’s pendant to flaunt in front of Mom.

"It’ll be soon, the money should co back by the end of the month," Ye Er said with a smile.

While Lele and Ye Er were discussing this, Yang Chuxia and Ye Zi’an were discussing it in their room too.
"Your son is beyond clever."
"What happened? Did you find sothing out?" Ye Zi’an asked.
"I just called his head maid over to ask about the jade pendant. He hides his things so well that even his maid had to think for a while before realizing a black jade pendant was missing." Yang Chuxia said with a twitch of her lips, "But you know what? Just three days ago, I saw him wearing it."
