In a corner of Dai Mountain, there were also two people walking there.
Upon closer inspection, it was Poison Old Monster and Yangyang. One old and one young, their clothes were already tattered, and Yangyang’s hair had co undone, looking just like a little beggar now.
"Old man, I’ve been terribly duped by you." Yangyang held a stick in his hand, walking through the forest, swinging the stick as he walked, muttering, "We’d be better off walking the official road. If we had taken the official road, we might have already reached Great Zhou by now. We’ve been wandering in this darn forest for days and still can’t get out. I’m about to turn into a wild man."
Poison Old Monster was tired of walking too and didn’t want to move anymore. With a light leap, he sat up on a tree branch, "Aren’t you annoying? Nagging every day. Look at you, just a few years old, but you’ve beco like an old woman, nagging away. Is it my fault we can’t get out? How was I supposed to know this mountain is so strange?"
"How co you’ve been roaming the worldly society all these years?" Yangyang glared at him, "This mountain marks the border between Great Zhou and Great Qi. Even I know that, and you actually didn’t?"
Talking about this made Poison Old Monster a bit uncomfortable, "I’ve lived in the mountains all my life, how would I know this mountain is different from the one I usually live on."
Yangyang was exasperated, encountering such an unreliable old man, it’s a miracle he’s survived this long.
"You brat, I’m hungry, go get sothing to eat."
"You’re an old man, and you still want , a kid, to find food for you, aren’t you embarrassed?"
Having been in the forest for so long, Yangyang always went to find food, sotis getting wild fruits, sotis catching wild chickens and rabbits, then finding a cave to roast them.
"I am a dignified young master of the Marquis Mansion, accustod to having everything served, and now I’ve learned how to roast chicken hanging out with you, it’s just ridiculous."
Saying that, Yangyang still turned around and headed into the forest.
He was quite familiar with the forest by now and soon returned with a few red fruits tucked in his arms.
Seeing the old man still in the tree, he tossed one up with one hand, and Poison Old Monster caught it accurately.
Without even washing, he began munching fiercely right away.
"You brat still have the nerve to complain, bringing only these few fruits, without catching a single chicken, totally useless!"
Yangyang was vexed by this, the old man’s mouth was too annoying, complaining while eating his fruit.
"If you’ve got the guts, throw the fruit away."
"Why throw away what’s easy to get? I’d be crazy to toss it."
Yangyang glanced over, displeased, and leapt up, smacking the tree trunk with one palm. With a crisp cracking sound, the branch Poison Old Monster was sitting on broke.
"You brat, itching for a beating? Teach you martial arts for doing good, now you’re dishonoring your ntor, don’t you know?"
"Old man, raise your voice any louder, and if you scare the wild beasts, we’ll never get out."
As soon as the words fell, Yangyang felt sothing was amiss in his surroundings, especially behind him, chillingly uncomfortable.
Turning around, two black bears were staring intently at him.
"Oh my god!" Yangyang was imdiately frightened, wiping his sweat off as he quickly ran forward, still shouting, "Old man, run, life-threatening creatures are upon us."
Poison Old Monster was no longer lazy, quickly catching up to Yangyang, "This way!"
