"Oh," so Xiaxia finally obediently closed her eyes, but at this mont, she was already laughing inside.
It wasn’t until their lips t that she cald down a bit.
However, she felt that this kiss was so different from the previous light touch; for the first ti, Ye Zi’an showed so dominance and assertiveness.
The kiss was lingering, thrilling, and didn’t stop until their breathing beca labored, with their foreheads touching.
"Xiaxia!"
"Hmm?"
"Xiaxia!"
"Hmm"
"Xiaxia"
"Hmm"
"..." Like this, over and over again, until in the end, it turned into Yang Chuxia repeatedly calling out Ye Zi’an’s na, tirelessly calling and answering. Such silly behavior, yet so warm to the two of them. If there’s soone in life who never tires of responding to your aningless words, it ans they love you very much.
"Xiaxia, help carry that box over." Since morning, Ye Zi’an had been following the planting thods in the book for the white sweet potatoes.
"Do you want to fill it with soil?" Yang Chuxia asked.
"Wait a mont!" Ye Zi’an held a shovel in his hand, breaking the soil on the ground into fine pieces, then fetched so dried cow manure from the side, crushing and mixing it in.
"So that’s what you were doing in the cowshed this morning," Yang Chuxia said, pinching her nose.
"If you want the seedlings to grow well, you definitely need so manure in the soil," Ye Zi’an explained.
"You don’t mind getting dirty." Cough cough, Yang Chuxia didn’t notice that she was starting to act pretentious again. She had been in dirty places during her training before.
"You can stand further away, and co back when I’m done," Ye Zi’an said with a smile.
"No, I want to watch you do it."
A short while later, Ye Zi’an had mixed the cow manure and soil evenly, then shoveled it into the wooden boxes one by one. When all the boxes were filled with soil, he took out the sweet potato seeds.
Then, using a small shovel, he dug small holes in the boxes, spacing them apart.
Seeing this, Yang Chuxia grabbed a handful of seeds, "How many seeds should I put in each hole?"
"Two or three, you can’t put just one, nor too many."
"Okay."
So one person dug holes and the other planted seeds. Once all the wooden boxes were done, Ye Zi’an fetched a bucket of water, watered each hole a little, and then covered them with soil.
"Is that it?"
Ye Zi’an nodded, "Yeah, just pay attention to it, and in a few days, it’ll sprout. This thing grows fast, and with the added manure, I guess in about twenty days, we can cut the stems and transplant."
"This thing really is troubleso!"
Ye Zi’an shook his head, "The book says it’s only troubleso the first ti you plant it. Once it grows, if you want to plant it again next year, you can start cutting and transplanting branches early today. When it’s ti to plant next year, you can just cut and transplant directly."
"So that’s how it is! Well, that does make it a lot easier."
"What about the sugarcane you were working on?" After finishing with the white sweet potatoes, Ye Zi’an asked Yang Chuxia, "It’s still early, do you want to do it together?"
"No need, sugarcane isn’t that troubleso. Just soak it in clean water for a day, and then seal it in a wax paper umbrella bag, that’s all."
Yang Chuxia thought to herself, it should work, right? She wasn’t very sure, she had only heard people ntioning it vaguely before.
Anyway, it didn’t matter. She hadn’t soaked all of the sugarcane seeds yet; she’d try it out first. If it worked, she’d soak the rest of them. If it didn’t work, she’d figure sothing out. Besides, it’s not like she had to pay for the sugarcane seeds.
