"What should we do?" Yang Chuxia asked. "If this person isn’t caught soon, the children in our area will be in danger."
Constable Hong nodded. "Exactly. I’ve noticed that the children who had their eyes gouged out are all quite good-looking, and I’ve heard that they all had beautiful eyes before."
Upon hearing this, Yang Chuxia felt a spark of inspiration, thinking that this sounded sowhat similar to a television show she had seen, where soone had swapped eyes.
In that show, soone had removed other people’s beautiful eyes to replace their own.
Of course, the premise was that the person removing the eyes was blind.
She wondered if this eye gouger had a similar motive, like what happened in the show.
Yang Chuxia felt she had a hunch about this case, but without any evidence, she didn’t bring it up to Constable Hong.
"Is Auntie Hong not at ho today?"
Constable Hong replied, "She is, but you just missed her. She went out to buy groceries just before you arrived."

Yang Chuxia laughed, and then took the package and jar from the servant standing nearby. "Uncle Hong, here are so drunken crabs I brought for you to try. I also brought so snacks in this small package for Auntie Hong, which you can use to entertain guests."
"Thank you so much!" Constable Hong laughed heartily upon hearing about the drunken crabs. "I’ve been craving them for a while now. Auntie Hong refused to buy them for from the wine house, saying they’re too expensive."
Yang Chuxia said, "Uncle and Auntie, you don’t have to go to the wine house for this, as we can make them ourselves. Next ti you want so, just co to our house and get them, or I can have our servants bring them to you when they co to town."
"No need for that, these are for your family’s business." Constable Hong was an honest and righteous man, so he naturally declined the offer.
Yang Chuxia, however, took the matter to heart and later instructed the servants to bring crabs or shrimps to Constable Hong’s house each month when they went to pick up goods from Ju De Lou.
She had a soft spot for Constable Hong, as their families had interacted frequently and Constable Hong often looked after her family’s shop in town.
After leaving Constable Hong’s house, Yang Chuxia went to the town’s school to visit her two younger brothers.
The two little boys were delighted to see her, as it was her first ti visiting them at school.
"Sister, why are you here?"
Yang Chuxia said, "I ca to see you and bring you so things."
As she spoke, the servant behind her went to the carriage and retrieved many items, including so packed food.
"I heard that you have lunch at school, is that right?"
