"So what do you want to talk to about?"
Yang Chuxia casually threw the bundle to one side towards Miss Shuang and pulled her closer for a whispered conversation.
At her words, Yang Aoshuang’s eyes widened, "Is everything you said true?"
"Nonsense, what do I gain from lying to you?" Yang Chuxia continued in a low voice, "Your husband’s so-called best friend is useless. Why do you think he never joined your husband in playing around with won? Those young masters do everything together, how could they not do this? The reason he didn’t want to marry you back then was because he was afraid of being exposed."
"How do you know all this so clearly?" Yang Aoshuang looked at her suspiciously.
"Why do you care how I know?" Yang Chuxia glared at her, "Anyway, now you can report back to your husband."
"Wait, was it you who sched against back then?"
Yang Chuxia was about to shoo Yang Aoshuang away when she suddenly grabbed her, asking her with a displeased expression.
"Hey, Yang Aoshuang, don’t think that because I told you sothing, we’re now best friends. Do you really think I’d tell you about such a thing?" Yang Chuxia yanked her arm free and said, "Go on, leave, I’ve said my piece."
Yang Aoshuang glared at her for a mont before snorting, "Who would want to be friends with you? Having a friend like you would bring bad luck to my ancestors!"
With that, she stord off with her group of maids.
Yang Chuxia just shrugged her shoulders.
"What did you say to her? She’s cursing at you even as she leaves." Ye Zi’an approached her as soon as Yang Chuxia sat down.
"I didn’t say much, just that there was a man who couldn’t perform during her ’threeso’."
At Yang Chuxia’s blunt words, Ye Zi’an’s face turned red again.
Yang Chuxia laughed, "Look, your face is red again, and you said you wouldn’t blush."
Ye Zi’an glared at her.
Yang Chuxia lowered her head and chuckled, telling Ye Zi’an about what Yang Aoshuang had told her earlier.
"Her? Really?" Ye Zi’an was still surprised, "What are you planning to do about it?"
"Why do you all ask what I’m going to do?" Yang Chuxia spread her hands, "I’m not going to do anything for now. I’ll just have soone keep an eye on her. It’s better to have proof for this sort of thing. Yang Aoshuang may not seem like she’s lying, but what if there’s a twist? Besides, even if we want to catch her, we need to do so when she has no room for rebuttal."
"Alright, you handle it as you see fit!" Ye Zi’an nodded, "But Xiaxia, don’t you want to know why she’s doing this? You should be the one she’s grateful to, why would she turn against you?"
Ye Zi’an hit the nail on the head, expressing the confusion that Yang Chuxia felt about this matter.
"I can’t help it. I need to investigate her."
That night, when it was deep and quiet, Yang Chuxia changed into a dark outfit with a mask and snuck off to Old Uncle Shen’s house.
Old Uncle Shen’s courtyard was made of mud bricks, and the walls were built high to prevent villains from entering. However, none of this presented a problem for Yang Chuxia.
She easily jumped down on the other side, stopping briefly to listen to the even breathing coming from Old Uncle Shen’s room before tiptoeing to Shen Qiu’s room.
Inside, she heard a series of discordant voices, "Hmph, she’s not even that much better looking than . Yet so many people attend to her, calling her ’young lady’ all the ti. Why is that?"
