"Yes!" Yang Qingrui was initially scared silly by Yang Qingwen’s knife, but hearing Yang Chuxia’s sharp voice, he imdiately ca to his senses and rushed to open the courtyard door, only to bump face-to-face into Land Officer Yang and his entourage.
Land Officer Yang was dumbfounded at the scene in the yard.
Yang Qingrui couldn’t care less about politeness at the mont, pushing Land Officer Yang aside and running out the door. Soon, Uncle Cai arrived and saw Ye Zi’an’s wound but didn’t dare to touch it, helplessly opting to take Ye Zi’an to the town instead.
Arriving at the town’s clinic, the doctors were startled by the scene: blood had soaked Ye Zi’an and Yang Chuxia’s clothes, even splattering onto Uncle Cai and others; as for the clinic’s floor, it didn’t stand a chance.
Fortunately, the wound hadn’t reached the bone, and the patient had only fainted from blood loss.
"Doctor, when will he wake up, roughly?"
"Probably in more than an hour," the doctor stroked his white beard and kindly answered. "Young lady, do you have a doctor in your village? When the patient wakes up, you can carry him back ho. If not, I suggest your brother should stay at the clinic, waiting until he has no fever for a day or two before taking him back."
There were, of course, doctors in the village, and Uncle Cai had followed along. However, Ye Zi’an’s injury was on his back, and the bumpy village roads made them worry that the wound might tear open if jostled on the ox cart.
So Yang Chuxia shook her head, "Let’s stay at the clinic first. Lifting him on and off the ox cart could easily tear the wound."
"That’s fine too. In that case, you and the young boy can go get the dicine bag, and you can make the dicine in the back kitchen." After finishing the examination, bandaging, and other procedures, the senior doctor gave so instructions and left.
"Father, watch over Brother An for a while; I’ll go get the dicine."
"Sigh, go ahead." Yang Dachuan waved his hand.
In no ti, Yang Chuxia paid for the dicine and brought the dicine bag back. Uncle Cai, being a good-hearted man, noticed and volunteered to make the dicine for Ye Zi’an.
"Father, we must not let go of the second branch this ti! If not for , then for Brother An." Yang Chuxia looked firmly at Yang Dachuan, worried that he would still consider brotherly ties despite his recent changes.
Yang Dachuan sighed, "My girl, you handle this matter." His heart wasn’t cold; he knew the principal wife’s side wanted to kill his daughter, but he failed to stop them. He owed his daughter.
With this thought, two lines of tears flowed from Yang Dachuan’s eyes.
Yang Chuxia didn’t go forward to comfort him. Only through extre pain could one beco thoroughly disappointed in the other party.
"Father, I’m going out for a while. Please watch over Brother An."
At her words, Yang Dachuan silently nodded his head.

After leaving the clinic, Yang Chuxia went to find the town’s sheriff to file a lawsuit, and after spending nearly 800 copper coins, prepared to return to the clinic. As she left, two sheriffs went to the western side of town. Seeing them head to apprehend soone, Yang Chuxia detoured to a nearby bun shop, bought so large buns and light at porridge, and returned to the clinic.
When she arrived back at the clinic, Ye Zi’an had just woken up, and Uncle Cai was feeding him a bowl of dicine.
"You’re awake?"
After finishing the dicine, Ye Zi’an saw Yang Chuxia’s delighted face and clenched his teeth, grunting "Mmm.". But the smile on his pale face looked so discordant, no matter how anyone saw it.
