Vol 2 Chapter 95: The Colorful Alchemist
In the Shadow World, at the 'Colorful Plains' garrison.
Trees of varying heights were scattered across the plain. Their trunks and branches were of different colors—so like pink-white candy, others like black roses—their forms diverse, creating a peculiar, fairy-tale sense of detachnt from natural laws, as if shaped by pure whimsy.
Hidden among the trees of the plain were several towers and houses of different sizes. The appearance and roofs of these buildings were just as colorful and novel as the trees outside.
This was the stronghold of the 'Rainbow Colored Glass Vial' organization, a famous alchemist faction within the Hidden Grove.
A pale pink bird flitted lightly past a branch and then landed on a balcony.
Its small orange-red feet hopped lightly as it tilted its head to look at the still-closed door, then jumped onto the doorknob, tapping it *ding-ding*.
"Got it~" a lazy voice ca from inside the room.
About ten minutes later, a beautiful figure with golden hair, wearing pajamas, opened the door and stepped onto the balcony.
She raised her hand to receive the small bird, then leaned back in a chair on the balcony, yawning as she took a tiny gem from the bird's leg.
Holding the gem in her hand, she instinctively channeled Aspect power into it from mory, unlocking the seal within. Then, a passage of silver text projected into the air, appearing line by line before slowly dissipating.
"Haaah~~" She watched the text, then stretched her body long and lazily.
"So they're assigning a task. Help Lantern Town make glass... what kind of place is that? I've never even heard of it." After saying this, she continued leaning back in the chair to sleep, her ample chest rising and falling gently.
She stayed like this until the sun shifted directly overhead, shining brightly on her face and becoming quite glaring. Only then did she slowly wake up again.
By now, the pink bird had jumped back onto her, stepping and hopping all over, reminding her she hadn't sent a reply yet.
"Alright, alright, I know. It's just going to the Darkmist Mountains for support, right? Rember to give triple the contribution points, or I really don't feel like moving at all."
She picked up the gem again, imprinting line after line of golden text into it. Then, using a special secret thod, she sealed it and reattached the gem to the bird's toe.
The pink bird leaped up, pecked the woman's forehead, then deftly dodged her grasping hand, flying into the air and soon disappearing from sight.
"This little thing, it's getting less and less respectful of ." After grumbling a bit, she went back inside.
...
Three weeks later, the Black Lion Wastes, Darkmist Mountains.
A golden-haired woman lay on a haystack in a traveling wagon, watching the churning layers of clouds overhead. Beside her was a wide-brimd gold-red hat. The skirt she wore had a bold slit on the side, revealing generous black leggings. A light and intricate golden chain hung from her waist, adorned with several small square pendants.
Facing the churning sky above, she raised her fingers, which held several gems of different colors, each shimring with its own light.
Then these gems floated up, flashing with light, combining and transforming into each other. Soon, an exquisite, spiky crystal pendant appeared in the air. Its crystal structure was radial, its colors rotating counterclockwise, gradually shifting from orange-yellow to deep purple.
In roughly half a day's ti, a special alchemical creation of 'Third Tier' quality or above materialized and fell into her hand.
;
Lantern Town, third floor of the manor.
Sylutia was sitting by the window dealing with the town's affairs. Occasionally, wind would pass through the branches and leaves of the trees outside the window, rustling the papers and books on the desk.
"Senior Tia." A relatively young girl ca clattering up the stairs and walked into the office where Sylutia was.
"What is it?" The young girl looked up, tilting her head slightly to peek out from behind the stacks of books and papers.
"The supply transport convoy has arrived."
"Mhm."
"They brought a lot of things this ti. Also, an alchemist ca with them, saying she wants to see you."
"See ? Who is she?" Sylutia was sowhat surprised.
"Yes, she looks very impressive. She says she's a genius alchemist from the 'Rainbow Colored Glass Vial'."
A genius alchemist, huh, the young girl thought to herself. She sounds quite confident.
"Alright, I'll go over right away." She sped up slightly, finished the docunt in front of her, and then stood up.
A few minutes later, Sylutia t the 'genius alchemist' in the town's dining hall. The woman was sitting at a table, one long leg crossed over the other, eating ice cream.
"Hello, I'm Sylutia." The young girl ca to stand before her.
"Oh, hello there~" She licked the ice cream on her tongue, looking utterly enchanted by its flavor.
After finishing the scoop on her cone, this young and alluringly figured alchemist finally turned her attention and began introducing herself.
"My na is Dorothy, from the 'Rainbow Colored Glass Vial'. I heard you needed a powerful alchemist here, so I ca."
"My current rank is 'Third Tier - Luminous Moon'. I've mastered 314 material conversion formulas, 17 high-level material preparation techniques, and can cast six core gemstone spells. Unless it's sothing too ancient, I can help you figure it out. Give enough resources, and making a few 'Fourth Tier' or above fine creations for you wouldn't be a problem either."
After saying this, she stood up, looked at the silver-haired girl before her, rested her chin lightly on top of Sylutia's head, and then hugged her.
"Wow, you're so cute. I definitely didn't co here for nothing this ti, giggle."
Sylutia wasn't actually short, being about 165 cm, but the beautiful golden-haired figure in front of her was around 178 cm, tall and striking.
Pushing the embracing Dorothy away with both hands, Sylutia shook her silver hair behind her and took a few steps back.
"Let's not be so intimate right away." She wasn't used to being suddenly hugged like that.
"Aww, are you shy? But you look really cute like this too." Dorothy wagged a finger, playfully winking with one eye.
Is this person just overly familiar from the get-go? Sylutia internally grumbled.
Turning her head to the side to avoid looking at Dorothy's winking, starry eyes, Sylutia explained the recent situation they'd encountered.
"...Oh, oh, I get it. You want to make more high-grade glass for you to withstand storms, and then use it to grow flowers, right?" She understood imdiately.
"No problem. Although I haven't brewed much glass spirit liquid myself, I did go to the 'Six-Part Glaze School' for an exchange study before. A very good friend there specifically taught quite a few tricks. As long as you can provide with enough materials, it'll be fine."
After saying this, she stretched her body and looked around.
"The dining hall here is quite nice. I had so truly delicious ice cream today. If you want to work from now on, Tia, you'll have to give one ice cream every day~"
"Just ice cream?" Sylutia tilted her head.
"Of course there's also the association's contribution points. But with the extra reward of ice cream, I'll work a bit better~☆"
"Alright, I understand." Sylutia nodded.
"Mhm, mhm. By the way, where's the accommodation arranged for ? It needs to be on a higher floor—I hate bugs. The view should be good, the lighting nice, and there needs to be a balcony for my afternoon naps. Oh right, and a very large bathroom for bathing..."
Once she started talking, it seed like she wouldn't stop. The apprentice accompanying Sylutia was already getting a headache listening.
"I understand." After the other party finished, Sylutia nodded and agreed directly.
"Really? Are you sure you rember all my requirents?" Dorothy looked at the silver-haired girl before her.
"Of course I rember." Sylutia shook her head slightly, thinking the other might be underestimating her.
"You require living on the third floor or above, away from bugs, with a south-facing balcony, a quiet environnt, and a private bathroom..." Sylutia listed them one by one, perfectly summarizing the several minutes of rambling demands from Dorothy.
"Wow, you really are a smart kid. Getting along from now on is definitely going to be easy." Dorothy's satisfaction with this assignnt increased another notch.
After saying this, she tried to hug Sylutia again, attempting to lift the young girl, but the silver-haired girl easily dodged.
"I said, don't suddenly hug ." The girl protested sowhat annoyed, lightly tapping her toes to jump out of Dorothy's reach.
Afterwards, amidst laughter and conversation, the two who had just t gradually beca more familiar.
