Vol 2 Chapter 163 The Seeds of the Flaming Pogranate
Standing in the pool, the wizard beside her nodded to the apprentice, and then the teleportation magic array activated.
A flash of light passed before her eyes, and Sylutia, along with several other mbers, arrived at the garrison in the Shadow World.
Above them, the beacon that pierced the sky remained, splitting the clouds overhead, allowing sunlight to bathe this golden plain.
Back in the Glittergold Plains again, Sylutia sighed with emotion.
To be honest, she hadn't initially thought she would form such a deep connection with this place, but now it felt almost like a second ho to her.
After settling Morris in for the ti being, she went alone to the tower in White Stone Fortress. Following a round of reporting, she quickly obtained clearance, ascended to the upper levels of the tower, and t that wizard from the 'Four Seasons Alliance', Kuland Hill.
The mont she stepped into the room, Sylutia heard this veteran's voice.
"I've heard about the waves you stirred up on the surface continent." This senior had an expression that clearly said he hadn't misjudged her.
"The roar of the vulture-lion was observed not just by , but by many organizations. They were even astonished that the trajectory of the stars shifted, arriving three days earlier than usual."
"Star shift?" Sylutia was hearing these words for the first ti.
"Yes, explaining this is rather complex. It's related to the calendar of the four seasons and can't be fully explained in a short ti. You just need to know it concerns many things, such as the scheduling of farming seasons, the auspicious periods for rituals, and the requirents for certain experints, among others."
"Having experienced this event, what are your feelings, Ya?" He raised his hand, and two cups of warm black tea appeared on the table.
"Feelings..." Sylutia thanked the senior, picking up the teacup.
"Probably that this world is vaster than imagined, with many things I have yet to know and encounter."
"That's only human nature. Even now, I still encounter completely new subjects and ideas I've never t before." Kuland Hill replied, then moved on to the main business.
"Captain Cassius and Tristan have currently gone to the Hidden Grove headquarters for a eting. I am temporarily in charge of the Glittergold Plains."
"Originally, Captain Cassius intended to properly reward you, especially after hearing about your rapid and remarkable progress on the Path of the 'Castle' Aspect." The other party said, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly.
"However, the eting arranged by headquarters not long ago caused him to miss the date of your return. It seems he's going to regret it for a while."
"Ya, in the future, do you plan to continue walking the Path of the 'gardener', or switch tracks and delve deeper into the 'knights' Path?" He asked the young girl before him.
"I still intend to persist on the Path of the 'gardener'." Sylutia shook her head. Although she now possessed the strength of 'Fourth Tier - Castle', her 'Verdant Nectar' Aspect still remained at the 'Third Tier'.
"Since that's the case, I won't ask further." He nodded with satisfaction and approval.
"After hearing about your deeds on the surface continent, Captain Cassius instructed to allow you to freely study the secret arts and knowledge below the Fourth Tier of the 'Holy White Knight Hall' from now on. As for the Fifth Tier, you can easily obtain qualification as long as you apply."
"You haven't joined any organization yet, so you might not realize what an extraordinary privilege this is. You should know that even mbers within an organization need to complete tasks and earn contributions to learn so high-tier secret arts. Furthermore, not all internal mbers can access certain special arcane knowledge."
"After saying all that, our 'Four Seasons Alliance' has also prepared quite a few benefits and rewards. If you join, you can obtain them imdiately, and they definitely won't be inferior to those of the 'Holy White Knight Hall'."
"I will consider it, but right now I still need to digest the experiences and new gains from this period." Sylutia indicated her understanding.
Afterwards, the two chatted about many things. He inquired about her experiences, encounters, and specific details on the surface continent.
"Lucas? I'll make inquiries later." Upon hearing Sylutia ntion the na of another mber who had recently returned from the surface continent, Kuland Hill noted it down.
Later, Sylutia conversed with him further and learned that during the half year she was away, Lantern Town had also developed steadily. Its permanent population had now surpassed a thousand.
"The fourth batch of apprentices arrived so ti ago. Next month, the fifth batch will also set off. This ti, so Third Tier mbers will be assigned to join. Be prepared, Sylutia." Kuland Hill told Sylutia.
"I understand." Sylutia inquired further about the situation in Lantern Town, then asked this high-tier wizard,
"I wonder if Senior is familiar with 'Beast-Call Valley (Beast Fang·Bloodline)'."
"That school? They aren't particularly famous, but they have their own distinct characteristics. It's a school that developed from among the southern territory barbarians." Kuland Hill recalled.
"I rescued a prisoner on the surface. His experiences and constitution are special, and he wishes to enter the Hidden Grove for study. Currently, only 'Beast-Call Valley' is willing to accept him, but I am not clear about that school's situation."
"I see. The style of that place, while sowhat rough, has mbers who are mostly simple and honest in character, not given to scheming or trickery."
"However, this also depends on your friend's personality. So people might not be able to endure that kind of rough and unrestrained way of doing things."
"Take him there. It's perfect timing; they also raise war beasts there. You can purchase a batch to take to Lantern Town. The developnt there currently needs so assistance."
"I've noted it." Sylutia nodded. As she prepared to leave, Kuland Hill called out to her again.
"Ya, I have a batch of newly cultivated seeds here, along with planting instructions. Take them." He took out a small packet of seeds and a booklet.
"Its na is 'Fla Pogranate'. A mature specin should be around 'Third Tier'. If you are willing to continue researching and improving it, it has the potential to advance one more tier."
"This..." Sylutia took the packet of faintly warm seeds, feeling the heat contained within. The Aspect power conveyed by them seed to lie sowhere between 'Verdant Nectar' and 'Blazing Sun', constantly shifting and changing, elusive and hard to pin down.
"This is a plant I newly improved. Its seeds are natural projectiles that can explode and burn. Currently, it's considered a crop that needs to be kept confidential. You can plant it in the Darkmist Mountains, but you must not plant or display it elsewhere."
"Of course, it may not necessarily adapt to the environnt of the Darkmist Mountains, so you'll need to put effort into adjusting it. This also counts as a test for you."
"I understand."
"Alright, I won't keep you any longer. Hehe, off you go."
"Goodbye, Senior Kuland Hill."
After leaving the high tower, Sylutia held the packet of seeds, carefully sensing the special rhythm emanating from them. As a natural Third Tier plant, its seeds were also extraordinary. Selling such seeds would probably fetch 30 to 50 gold coins per seed. Senior Kuland Hill had given her nearly 30 seeds all at once, and all of them were plump, full, and of outstanding quality.
Although she didn't know what Captain Cassius and Senior Tristan were discussing at the eting, judging from the various bits of information subtly conveyed within the Hidden Grove, the relationship and situation with the central Mage Alliance were likely becoming increasingly tense. Even high-tier wizards like Kuland Hill had started cultivating specialized war plants.
The wind sweeping through the tower heralds a rising storm in the mountains.
