There was nothing. The handso young man maintained a gentle smile and calm eyes, not even a single trace of guilt coloring his face.
"Sothing wrong?" An old, feminine voice echoed through the hotel corridors. Kangrui’s eyes twitched as he turned around.
"Not at all, Elder Xue, we were just investigating the crown prince’s death." Kangrui bowed, receiving a gentle smile from Mada Xue.
"Good, you can investigate elsewhere." She said, waving for the guards to leave. "Now leave, I have things to settle with my sect’s disciple."
"But elder, the king’s orders-" Kangrui tried to question, but receiving a cold stare from the woman, he turned and left.
"Greetings elder. Feiyan is still in bed, shall I call her?" Qingyi bowed to Mada Xue, who just shook her head.
"No, I ca here for you, actually."
"For ?" Qingyi couldn’t help raising an eyebrow in confusion.
"Yes," she nodded, observing her surroundings for a brief mont before releasing her Qi, sealing off the corridor.
"Your talent has changed, by a greater margin than I am even able to calculate. The sect leader asked to put this aside, but I need to know if you’re going to continue by my disciple’s side: what did that expert from the nine peaks basin do to you?"
"Nothing." Qingyi shook his head. After thinking for a mont, he decided that a half-truth would be the best way to answer that.
"She just healed , studied my body for a few days and then released . I ended up in a place called the Heavenly Thunder Realm and entered a secret realm, I had a few fortuitous encounters there which ended up greatly increasing my cultivation and talent."
"Heavenly Thunder Realm?" Mada Xue frowned. "Why would an expert take you to such an isolated place instead of the Nine Peaks Basin if she was interested on you?"
"I’m sorry, elder, but I’m just a junior who doesn’t know what goes on in the heads of true masters."
Hearing those words, Mada Xue sighed heavily.
Qingyi wasn’t wrong, not even she was capable of understanding the powerful cultivators of the Nine Peaks Basin.
"Wake up Feiyan, we’re leaving in a few hours. The sect leader will be accompanying us, so don’t be late."
Mada Xue turned around, she didn’t have much more to ask Qingyi.

"With a group of bandits. I questioned one of them, it seems that these pills are being distributed on the black market here in the main land and taken to the island."
Mada Xue gritted her teeth, the Qi around her boiling before she cald down.
"You did well to report it to . Don’t say anything to anyone else." Mada Xue put the pills away before walking away, leaving Qingyi alone again.
"Ah..." He sighed heavily before turning around, heading back to his room.
"Who was that?" Feiyan asked.
Without Qingyi’s embrace to warm her, she could only turn to Ruxue, their voluptuous bodies pressed tightly together.

The three of them left the hotel soon after, eating in one of the capital’s many restaurants before finally heading to the sect’s eting point, where dozens of disciples and a few elders were already waiting.
Everyone was feeling a bit strange.
Their sect leader had a flying sword that could close the distance from the capital to the sect in a few hours.
But he still preferred to go by carriage, accompanying his disciples.
Qingyi went with Feiyan to the central disciples’ carriages, but was stopped by the powerful voice of the sect leader.
