In a remote hut on the border of the dead lands, two n were talking.
One tall and thin, the other fat and short.
"We should just go... he’s dead." Heidu said, anxiously walking back and forth. "We already have all the information we want."
"No." Yedu shook his head.
"The agreent was that we would wait here for a month before confirming any deaths to the alliance.
Didn’t you say yourself that he defeated the young demon cult lord? You said you didn’t see him killed."
"No, but... fuck!" The fattie collapsed into a chair, grabbing a bottle of liquor and gulping it down in greedy gulps.
Yedu watched him with a strange look on his face.
Heidu was acting odd, too anxious, refusing to answer basic questions.
It raised suspicions, but Yedu just sighed in the end.
He didn’t have the mind to force the issue.
"You know I’m anxious too, you know what happened to my family, I want to go back as much as you do, but-"
"What happened to your family?" A soft male voice echoed out, catching both their attention.
Their eyes imdiately t those of a tall, handso young man who was watching them coldly.
It was Qingyi.
"I told you he was alive, hahaha!" Yedu flashed a big smile as he stood up, slapping Heidu hard on the back, who shuddered.
"So, how did you defeat the young demon cult lord? He’s in the rebirth realm!" Yedu asked excitedly.
Qingyi didn’t answer, only casting a sharp glance in Heidu’s direction before continuing. "We’ll talk about it later. Tell first, what happened to the Tang family?"
"Eh..." Yedu hesitated.
Since when were the Tang family’s affairs Qingyi’s problem?
Still, he gave in, explaining everything: "The patriarch of the family was ambushed by the leader of the demon cult inside the tang family main house.
He managed to survive, but his injuries are serious and the battle has completely destroyed the main house, so the grand elder has temporarily taken over the position.
The patriarch is recovering in an isolated residence right now. I don’t know what will beco of us now."
"Fuck." Qingyi clenched his fists so hard that his bones crackled. "And Tang Biyue?"
"She’s with the war council, trying to organize our forces. Why are you so interested in these things? We’ve just completed the mission, let’s go-"
Before Yedu had even finished his words, Qingyi left, mounting Khaedryss and taking off.
The demon sect didn’t seem ready for war, so why had they attacked? Did it have sothing to do with him?

In a dark, remote forest, a great battle was taking place.
"Die, you pigs!" A female scream full of hatred echoed out, an endless torrent of flas flying towards a group of demonic cultivators, cooking them alive.
The owner of that voice was a woman with flaming hair and beautiful green eyes.
Her unimpressive breasts were offset by a fat, round, perky ass.
She looked around her, staring at the torn bodies of her soldiers.
She had been a few hundred kiloters from the orthodox alliance, doing a routine patrol when they were ambushed by a group of demonic cultivators.
Nothing out of the ordinary, just a few sons of bitches out to kill.
But unfortunately, a disgusting old man appeared, powerful enough to change the course of the battle.
"Oh... you’re a tough little girl!" A slurred, disgusting voice echoed, followed by light footsteps. "These are the ones I like best!"
He was an old man, apparently in his seventies, but who had certainly lived through the millennia.
At the peak of the Nascent Soul Realm, he was a difficult opponent for Rongyan, who had only recently reached the fifth stage of the Nascent Soul Realm.
Rongyan took a hesitant step backwards, her eyes closing for a brief mont.
Qingyi’s face appeared in her mind, his smile, his touch.
Right after Qingyi ca her childhood - her mother, her father, her siblings, the gas they used to play and how it all ended: the flas.
It was an accident.
The awakening of her bloodline set fire to everything around her, her mortal body losing control and setting fire to her house.
From that day on, she swore that she would never use that power again, not even in the face of death.
But she wasn’t facing death, she was facing sothing much worse, and her husband wasn’t there to save her.
Even if it ant blowing up her own body, anything was better than being touched by a man who wasn’t Qingyi!
’Father... Mom... I’m going to have to break my promise, I’m sorry.’ She bit her lower lip, her eyes filled with intense anger.
A fire Qi capable of lting even the toughest steel spread around her.
An incorporeal figure in flaming crimson armor appeared, aligning itself perfectly with Rongyan’s body, enveloping her in a defensive embrace.
Above her head, a beautiful golden crown appeared, emitting a nacing glow.
The old man took a step back, imdiately sensing the danger, his whole body trembling.
That aura... was that a bloodline? How could that be possible?
"You dared to look at with desire. I will tear your eyes from your hideous face and wash my stained honor with your blood!" The ground beneath Rongyan’s small, delicate feet cracked as she catapulted forward.
The old man raised his arms, trying to defend himself with his demonic Qi. But nothing was enough.
Rongyan’s bloodline easily crushed the difference in cultivation between them.
His clothes combusted, his skin lting over his flesh and bones as he scread desperately.
When Rongyan’s flas ceased, only his eyes remained under a pile of ashes.
She had carefully controlled herself so that only they remained.
With a look of disgust, she stepped over them, crushing them.
She was about to fly back to the sect, but sothing stopped her.
A familiar flapping of wings tore across the horizon.
Looking up, she saw a beast with black scales and purple eyes, hovering a few ters above the air.
Sitting on the beast’s back was a man of transcendental beauty.
"Did you miss ?" Qingyi’s question was soon answered as Rongyan jumped on Khaedryss’ back, throwing herself into his arms and kissing him.
