[Movent technique: Lightning Steps
Rank: Rare
Description: A fast movent technique that hides the user in a cloud of electric sparks as they move forward.
Price: 500 lust points]
"Is that the best I can get?" Qingyi asked, frustrated.
He also wanted at least one combat technique, but his wealth simply wasn’t enough for that. A movent technique was the most he could get unless he was willing to use low-level techniques.
[Yes, I can show you a list of other similar techniques, but you won’t have as much affinity with any of them as you do with this one].
"Ah... I’ll stick with that one." Qingyi sighed, clicking the buy button. The next mont, an intense headache overtook him as he fell to his knees.
"Argh... does everything have to be painful like this?" He asked between his teeth, his breath panting as he assimilated the knowledge embedded in his head.
[Skipping the lengthy cultivation process cos at a great price.]
"It makes sense." A bitter smile appeared on Qingyi’s face as he stood up. He walked out of his residence, took a deep breath and planted his feet on the ground.
In the next mont, his body was seized by an electric cloud, as lightning raced down from his feet, tearing up the ground beneath him and hurling him forward.
In a fraction of a second, his body cut a space of twenty ters, hitting a tree and almost breaking it in half, the bang echoing through the Sect’s territory.
"Ugh... shit!" Qingyi coughed heavily as he leaned on the tree trunk.
’This is going to be harder than I thought. He stood up, planting his feet on the ground, before trying again.
This ti, there was nothing to hit. His body was thrown forward in an explosion and his feet sank into the ground as he landed, tearing through the soft grass of his residence for more than five ters before finally coming to a stop.
"Elder Tian won’t be angry about this... will he?" Qingyi looked at the destroyed lawn. Well, it wasn’t his fault if his cultivation room was too small to train on it.
Shaking his head, he continued training.
On his third attempt, he almost succeeded, but his feet slipped and he ended up on his butt.
On his fourth, he lost his balance, rolled on the grass and ended up in the lake, his body sinking into the icy water.
"Crap!" He grunted as he climbed up the bank.
But it wasn’t all for nothing. As he fell into the water and tried desperately to activate the Lightning Steps, he felt a slight resistance, as if his body were floating on the water before falling completely.
Controlling his breathing, he tried again. His body exploded, hidden by a cloud of lightning and distorting with the movent as he appeared more than ten ters ahead.
In the split second before he landed, he used the Lightning Steps again, this ti with less intensity. His feet seed to float lightly on the grass, nullifying his inertia as he landed comfortably.
His eyes sparkled as he tried once more, but when it ca ti to land, he activated the Lightning Steps with maximum force.
His body was catapulted again several tis until he felt his ridians begin to burn, landing more than five hundred ters from his ho.
"That’s fucking great!" A big smile took over his face as he ran back. This ti, his eyes focused on the lake.
Circulating his Qi and calming his internal energies, he launched himself towards the lake. His feet seed to sink into the water, but soon he was moving forward again, the calm lake water shuddering as he landed on the other shore.
That was good, better than anything he had imagined, but it was still far from enough.
He still needed to be able to perfectly control the distance he would run and also maneuver in the middle of using the technique. If he didn’t, he would basically be useless in real combat.
Exhaling heavily, he bought a Qi refining pill and recovered his energy before starting to train again.
Over the next two weeks, he spent all of his five hundred Sect contribution points on pills and cultivation resources, training until his body collapsed from exhaustion before starting to spend his lust points.
Feiyan didn’t visit him once, but he didn’t care much. The journey of cultivation took a long ti, and two weeks was nothing for beings who could live for centuries or millennia.
Stabilizing his cultivation, he sat, his eyes scanning his status screen. Feeling his cultivation base stabilize, he clicked forward, the power of the eighth stage of the Qi Refinent Realm flowing through his body.
"Ah... I really need a new source of lust points." He stood up with a pained grunt as he thought about what to do.
Maybe form a group and start doing missions for the Sect? That would be a good idea.
He could et new girls, earn sect contribution points and get lust points at the sa ti.
As he was leaving his cultivation room, he heard a distant voice and his face lit up.
"Young Taoist Qingyi? Are you there? It’s Tianran." The chubby man shouted and soon the door to the residence opened, revealing a handso, smiling young man.
"Brother Tianran, what brings you here?"
"Ah... nothing much! I was just passing through the Sect and rembered you, hehehe." Tianran laughed lightly. "I heard you were amazing, you even got a golden token!"
"It was luck," Qingyi replied humbly. "Would you like to co in? There’s so liquor if you need sothing to wet your throat."
"Ah... I’d love to, but I have things to sort out in the inner disciples’ area." Tianran took a small envelope out of his pocket and handed it to Qingyi.
"It’s an invitation to little sister’s wedding, it’s going to be in two weeks’ ti. It would be great if you ca along!"
"Oh... Thank you very much, Brother Tianran. I’ll do my best to be there!" Qingyi took the invitation, sealed by the Mo family symbol.
When Tianran left, he couldn’t help but give a sly smile.
There was a chance that it wouldn’t an anything, but the solution to his lack of lust points had probably arrived!
After thinking for a mont, he decided that he would first go on a mission with the Sect. He needed to test his new movent technique in real combat, and a few extra Sect contribution points wouldn’t hurt.
