As night fell, the streets of the capital of the Blue Moon Kingdom beca more and more crowded.
Thousands of onlookers surrounded the Five Colors Pavilion auction house.
The venue was large enough to accommodate more than fifty thousand people in its lower stands alone, which surrounded a large jade stage in a perfect circle.
The VIP boxes, just above, held another thousand people: masters of great sects, powerful experts, representatives of noble houses and, of course, the royal family.
Qingyi was in one of these boxes, not as luxurious as those intended for the high nobility, but still comfortable.
Next to him on the large sofa was ilin. Her beautiful porcelain face bore an uncomfortable expression.
Even with the great distance between her VIP room and her brother's, on the opposite side of the auction house, she could still feel his angry gaze.
Of course, she wasn't afraid. She was under Qingyi's protective embrace and her brother couldn't do anything against her, at least not openly.
None of his n would be crazy enough to openly raise a hand against a beloved daughter of the Golden King and, honestly, if her father hadn't laid down such stupidly antiquated rules, she would probably have regained her position by now.
In the end, she could only sigh, clinging to Qingyi and closing her eyes for a brief mont, allowing herself to relax.
The handso young man was also calm, hugging ilin while his eyes road around the other cabins.
Among them were the two princes.
The third prince's box was to the right of the branch leader's box: a handso man with blond hair and fine eyes, almost always closed, his lips curved in a subtle smile.
The second prince's cabin was on the left: a brutish man in silver armor and short hair, his cultivation from the peak of the False Immortal Realm subtly leaking out, falling onto his brother's box.
It was quite clear that they hated each other.
The third prince gritted his teeth, also releasing his aura, an icy Qi hitting the second prince's flaming Qi.
"You dare?" The second prince slamd the table in front of his chair, ready to increase the power of his Qi even more, but his montum died in the next mont.
"Behave yourselves." An grunt echoed out; serene, masculine and calm, but carrying a strange, sickly aura in the ancestral Qi that enveloped it.
Many of the weaker ones there shuddered at hearing that voice, and Qingyi's eyes followed its origin.
Above everyone and everything was a gold-coated box, its interior completely darkened so that those who occupied it could not be seen.
That was the box destined for the king, the queen and no one else.
Bowing their heads, the two princes stopped fighting and sat down comfortably under their father's gaze.
"Good evening, inestimable guests!" A cheerful voice rang out, calming everyone's spirits.
From the top of the auction house, a beautiful female figure appeared, floating subtly, her black hair elegantly tied up while her red-painted lips displayed a gentle smile.
"The Five Colors Pavilion branch in the Blue Sea Kingdom welcos Your Majesty, Your Highnesses and everyone to one of our biggest auctions since our establishnt in the Blue Sea Kingdom many centuries ago."
She declared, bowing towards the royal box.
Extending her hand slightly, a small golden stick appeared in her hand.
Pointing this stick towards the center of the platform, she smiled. "To begin our auction, so appetizers."
The mont her voice ceased, the ground beneath her feet shook, slowly opening up to reveal a collection of exactly ten items, covered in black tents.
These were the cheapest items in the auction, barely tens of thousands of Superior Qi crystals.
Qingyi wasn't really interested in any of it, just waiting for the Feiyan pills, but Ruxue's voice echoing in his head made him change his mind.
"Qingyi... I can sense sothing in the third item, it's probably one of my fragnts." The spiritual beauty spoke, her eyes shining in the world of the mind as she observed the world through Qingyi's eyes.
Obviously, he was excited by this too, taking a look at his reserve of superior Qi crystals and lust points before sighing in defeat.
He only had around 600 high-level spirit crystals, with enough lust points to buy another 2,000.
No item in that auction would co that cheap, not even in Qingyi's dreams.
"Sothing interests you? My brother cleared out my bank reserves, but I still had so change with in my space ring." ilin asked, watching her husband's gaze.
Without even waiting for Qingyi's reply, ilin pressed her space ring against his, transferring all her wealth.
"Thanks, I'll repay you nicely, hehehe..." Qingyi smiled, slapping ilin's ass hard and kissing her gently before taking a look at her spirit ring.
'change?' he wondered. 'There are over a hundred thousand spirit crystals here, where does this woman think this is change?'
Tang Biyue was like that too. Rich people were truly crazy.
With a subtle smile, the auctioneer lifted the first item, revealing a beautiful long sword, a brittle item of little value to anyone who wasn't a collector.
Even so, it was snapped up by a minor sect leader who paid just over thirty thousand Superior Qi crystals.
The second item was a defensive artifact in the shape of a necklace, capable of creating barriers powerful enough to withstand even attacks from experts at the peak of the Enlightened Soul Realm.
This was auctioned off for over fifty thousand by the second prince.
"Now for the third item." The auctioneer lifted the curtain, revealing a small piece of purplish silver tal.
"It looks like just an ordinary piece of steel, but not even the most renowned blacksmith in our pavilion was able to lt it down. The opening bid will be 10,000 Qi crystals."
'It really is a fragnt of Ruxue...' Qingyi perked up and the mont the first bid echoed, he held up a small plaque.
"50,000!" He silenced all the other interested parties, all but one.
He was already certain of his victory when Wang Haoran stood up, sending a deadly smile at the handso young man as he held up his father's plaque. "120,000!"
