The mont he heard the words of that whale-shaped woman, Qingyi's face contorted, his stomach churning in disgust.
He was used to n seeking death while trying to take his won; but this was the first ti he was the target, at least coming from sothing as repulsive as this.
He cald his mind, his eyes scanning each of those bandits.
Thirty in total, the strongest was the talking pile of fat, in the early stage of the flowing ridian realm.
They were not enemies worthy of Qingyi's second glance.
Drawing the sky-defying thunder sword, Qingyi advanced, his body exploding with speed.
"Shit..." The obese bandit raised her blade to parry Qingyi's, her eyes widening at the scene that followed.
His sword cut through hers like butter, the lightning and fire Qi raising the temperature of the tal to absurd levels.
Before she even realized it, the lted tip of her sword fell to the ground, her head following soon after, rising to the skies with a spurt of blood.
"So..." Qingyi's eyes flashed with murderous intent, the huge figure of a black dragon appearing behind him, falling upon everyone there. "Who's next?"
The mont he stepped forward, the bandits retreated, but under the pressure of his bloodline suppression, they were unable to run.
Turning his face gently, Qingyi spoke to the coachman, "Turn your back, don't look."
"Y-yes, young master!" The coachman imdiately jumped to the back of the carriage, even the horses paralyzed with fear.
Qingyi waved his sword lightly, its blade shining and revealing the huge figure of a black dragon, asuring over 40 ters from snout to tail.
It was Khaedryss.
Her strength was still considerable, but not enough for Qingyi to feel comfortable.
She should barely be able to fight against cultivators of the transcendence realm, and that was unacceptable to him.
She needed to eat a lot to get stronger.
"Go on, girl, fill your stomach;" Qingyi patted Khaedryss's snout gently, smiling as he watched her reveal a mouth full of teeth, swallowing one of the bandits whole before moving on to the next.
The handso young man activated his draconic eyes, watching Khaedryss eat.
He honestly wasn't sure yet exactly how she grew stronger, only that she needed to eat to do so, absorbing so of her enemies' strength.
As he watched her, he saw the strands of Qi coming from those cultivators accumulate in her stomach, slowly being broken down and digested by her mana.
It was truly a very peculiar way to beco stronger, even when compared to how spirit beasts grew stronger.
After thinking for another brief mont, Qingyi just shook his head, letting Khaedryss finish her al, which didn't take long.
The poor coachman, his eyes still tightly shut, could only shudder as he listened to the beastly sounds of Khaedryss feeding, wondering if he might be next.
He only opened his eyes again when the noises ceased, replaced by the light footsteps of Qingyi approaching.
"Y-young master? Is everything alright?" the coachman asked shakily.
"Yes." Qingyi jumped onto the back of the carriage. "You may continue."
"O-okay." The coachman nodded, struggling to calm the horses before cracking his whip, signaling them to continue.
Unfortunately, they had barely passed the blood-soaked road before stopping again, eliciting a weary sigh from Qingyi.
He just wanted to return to the world of his mind and fuck a little more. Would no one give him peace?
The mont he left the carriage again, he noticed figures approaching on the horizon; knights mounted on large steeds and protected by powerful silver armor, only their eyes visible beneath the visors of their helts.
Those people were not a common sight in that part of the world.
Qingyi activated his draconic eyes, quickly realizing that everyone there was a mana user, and not weak ones at that.
"By Auranys... You, what just happened here?" One of the knights asked, stopping his horse a few ters away and pointing at Qingyi.
Between them, the road was completely covered with blood and torn remains left behind by Khaedryss.
"We were attacked by these bandits, I had to deal with them," Qingyi replied coldly.
"That..." The knight looked at the flag on the ground, one he knew well.
Black as night, bearing strange symbols at its center. These were the damned pirates who had been terrorizing his settlent!
"This doesn't look like the work of a sword," the knight concluded after a brief mont.
"It wasn't a sword," Qingyi shook his head, "it was done by my spirit beast."
The knight thought for a mont, realizing that the wounds on the body parts truly resembled those of large, sharp teeth.
He would normally just release Qingyi, but unfortunately, it was not a normal ti.
That part of the road was in the territory ceded by the royal family of the Blue Sky Kingdom to the Church of Auranys, and it was one of the most attacked by those damned pirates.
Soone who had just been attacked like Qingyi would certainly be a good source of information for their investigations.
"I beg your pardon, but we have been tasked with patrolling these lands and investigating anyone who looks suspicious. We would like to hear your testimony and ask you to accompany us to the valley of the eagle's peak."
The knight declared, placing his hand on his sword, already expecting that Qingyi would not easily agree.
To his surprise, the handso young man just nodded, sitting down next to the coachman.
"Accompany them, I will increase your paynt a little for going off route." Qingyi patted the coachman on the shoulder.
"Yes, y-young master." The coachman stamred, tapping the reins of the two horses pulling the carriage and following the knights.
After a few hours of travel, Eagle Peak Valley appeared on the horizon. Qingyi didn't initially think much of it, accompanying the horsen mainly out of curiosity.
But the mont he stepped out of the carriage, he heard Jin ilin's voice in his head, who was watching everything through Ruxue.
"Husband, this place is perfect!" she declared excitedly.
