In the capital, things couldn't be livelier.

The latter announcent was especially important to the rchants of the capital, who were still trying to recover after months of siege.
Naturally, all these proclamations were t with great celebrations by the population.
At that very mont, David Valemont was relaxing in one of his many private gardens in his luxurious palace, savoring a sip of wine.

David took another sip of wine before finally standing up, sighing heavily and looking up at the skies.
He could see a youthful figure approaching on the horizon, with a powerful body and a handso face that wore a big smile.

"I decided to co ahead," Qingyi nodded, opening his space ring and removing Belgrath's head, still drenched in blood.
"I handed over control of the army to your trusted n. They should
co soon after garrisoning Belgrath's fortress," Qingyi said, throwing the head at David's feet.
"Uh..." David crouched down, picking up Belgrath's head and staring at it for a mont before smiling.
He enveloped it with mana, turning it into dust.
"I believe you didn't give his body a proper burial?" David asked.
"No, I left it to be devoured by beasts." Qingyi shook his head, eliciting a laugh from David.
The laughter soon ceased, replaced by a serious and lancholic voice.
"Very well, Son-in-law. You saved and my Sofia from perdition. You even brought my little Isabel to . My gratitude is eternal and endless," David said, grabbing Qingyi's shoulders.
"How would you like to be the Lord of the lands of Belgrath? To be a noble in more than just title?"
Qingyi thought about it for a brief mont, but in the end, he just shook his head.
"I will soon depart for the Rose Empire, and from there, I will go to the Illuminated Sky Empire. My plans don't end in the immortal heaven. Having such land here would only cause trouble, but...
Qingyi stopped suddenly, rembering sothing.
Land was not of interest to him, but expanding the Burning Red Pavilion, on the other hand, most certainly was.

The mont he heard that question, Qingyi froze, which only increased David's anxiety even more.

Qingyi heard those words, a soft smile spreading across his lips.
Heroes of a era, huh? Were they like the hero parties in the old RPGs
he used to play on Earth?
