"I’m sorry master... but I’m not going to lose this ti!" Tianming roared as he stood up.
Qingyi shuddered, backing away imdiately.
What the hell was that bastard thinking of doing?
Even Elder Tian, who was about to proclaim Qingyi’s victory, froze, feeling the Qi around Tianming explode.
"Is that... demonic energy?" Qingyi’s eyes widened.
The Qi exuding from Tianming was dark and putrid, carrying a nauseating sll that imdiately made his stomach turn.
His master had taught him to detect that kind of Qi very well.
"Today, you pay for everything you’ve made suffer!" Tianming growled.
From his body, thousands of tiny needles ca out, floating through the air, surrounding Qingyi completely. Each needle carried demonic and poisonous energy, powerful enough to kill cultivators of the Golden Core realm.
Qingyi felt his heart race and his blood run cold. He was exhausted, but still forced his body to move, taking staggering steps backwards.
This was dangerous.
Even if the poison and demonic energy didn’t affect him, the sheer quantity of needles was enough to easily kill him.
He looked around.
The needles ford a perfect do. Even using lightning steps, he would still have to pass through dozens of them before he could escape.
He turned his face and his eyes t those of Hua Feiyan. The relief had been completely wiped from her beautiful face, replaced by a trembling expression of panic.
"Die!" Tianming roared as he closed his hands, and thousands of needles flew towards Qingyi.
"NO!" At the sa ti, Feiyan’s pained scream reached Qingyi’s ears, and he gritted his teeth.
Mada Xue stood next to her, her Iron Body Realm aura exploding, ready to stop Tianming right there.
But she stopped at the last mont.
Her chest sank as she looked at the stands.
There was a man in dark robes, watching Tianming with disappointed eyes.
He didn’t do anything, he didn’t even show any desire to act, but his presence alone caused both her and Elder Tianming to freeze.
"Let’s strengthen the arrays! Qingyi can take care of himself," she bit her thin lips, shouting at Elder Tian.
Qingyi also noticed the presence of the man in dark robes, but ignored it completely. For the first ti since arriving in this world, he felt a real danger of death
But under Feiyan’s desperate gaze, he wouldn’t let himself be defeated so easily.
With a roar, he withdrew every last drop of draconic Qi from his Dantian, sending it all towards his eyes.
Crimson liquid flowed down his cheeks and dripped onto the ground, the purple of his pupils flickered slightly as he activated the lightning steps.
He only had one chance.
He moved all his Qi towards his right leg, feeling every muscle in his body tear and the sword of the thunderclouds shudder as he launched himself towards the do of needles.
A thunderous explosion sounded as all the needles converged in his direction, and a cloud of greenish smoke rose as the needles that missed their target flew towards the stands.
Screams of horror echoed as they easily passed through the protective arrays.
Hundreds of disciples were hit, their bodies swelling with the poison as they agonized in pain.
"Hahaha..." a laugh escaped Tianming’s lips, soon turning into a crazed laughter.
"I killed you, you son of a bitch! See that? I killed you-" Tianming’s voice was interrupted when a figure broke through the clouds of black smoke.
"You talk too much!" Qingyi roared.
His Qi had already been completely depleted after breaking through the do of needles, but his body continued forward.
With what little strength he had left, he raised his sword.
"I’m sorry, young man." A voice appeared in Qingyi’s mind and his body shook, stopping in mid-air.
In front of him stood the black-robed man, his handso face showing a gentle smile as the thundercloud sword remained between his fingers.
"Unfortunately I can’t give you that pleasure." A tallic clang echoed as the thunderclouds sword shattered, it’s fragnts falling to the ground as if they were glass.
with a subtle thrust of the man’s fingers, Qingyi was thrown dozens of ters, barely able to stand.
"You’re already dead, so do a favor and fall down." The man turned towards Tianming and, at that mont, Qingyi realized.
There was a thin stream of blood coming from his forehead. Moving his fingers, he found a needle stuck between his eyes.
He was sure he had swept up all the needles. How could he have missed one? And why in such a vital spot?
Tears of blood ran down Qingyi’s eyes as he fell to his knees.
His mind beca increasingly foggy, and he barely managed to see Feiyan’s desperate face one last ti before his vision went completely blank.
"Master," Tianming also fell to his knees, prostrating himself before the man. "Forgive for my mistake, I promise to do my best to make it up for it!"
"Don’t worry, it won’t be necessary," the man laughed, and Tianming raised his face with a faint glimr of hope.
Would his master forgive him so easily?
Unfortunately, the glow didn’t last long. The next words from the man in the black robes made his blood run cold.
"Dead people don’t have to pay debts." The man only moved a single finger, and Tianming’s head was thrown into the air.
He personally liked Tianming, a young man with whom he truly shared many things in common.
Unfortunately, Tianming had crossed the line.
"DEVIL!" A roar echoed. Elder Tian finally reacted, but to no avail.
With a wave of the man’s hand, Elder Tian’s figure flew up, crashing into the arena wall with a violent thud.
"Ah... Since my position has already been revealed, I guess it’s okay to exterminate this miserable little place once and for all." The man’s body levitated slightly in the air, the space around him shaking as his Qi exploded.
He was ready to release all his Nascent Soul Realm cultivation when a cold, soft female voice reached him.
"Enough of your little gas, Tang Yandu."
"Oh..." Tang Yandu’s face twisted into a bitter smile. "So little sister Biyue has finally found ."
