Now reading: Chapter 703 - Primordial chaos origin from The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System, a Smut novel by SillyDaoist.

Long Qingyi had always wondered what the primordial chaos truly was.

Whenever he questioned the system, the answers ca back vague and evasive. The system itself didn't seem to know exactly what the primordial chaos really was.

Still, he knew it was the cradle of the great creator, and above all, the cradle of the Dragon God of Corruption himself.

According to the system, the Heavenly Demon claid to have been born there, yet unlike the Dragon God of Corruption and Rou'er's mother, he was not a true native of primordial chaos.

That only raised more questions in Qingyi's mind.

How could anyone be a native of, or even live in, the Primordial Chaos?

The System itself didn't know.

For both of them, the Primordial Chaos was an abstract concept, not a physical place with earth, water, and air.

Their view wasn't necessarily mistaken. After all, the Primordial Chaos was in constant flux.

The primordial chaos of a hundred million years ago was not the sa primordial chaos of today.

Neither Qingyi nor the system knew this, but it mattered little.

The handso young man pushed those thoughts from his mind. Whatever the primordial chaos was, he would find out when the ti ca.

Without hesitation, he clicked to improve his cultivation.

[Initiating cultivation improvent]

[The origin of primordial chaos recognizes your existence and tears through the void toward you]

Qingyi shuddered. The pain surged not through his flesh but in the depths of his soul—a throbbing ache sowhere beyond the body, in a place no hand could reach.

Origin Qi.

Every cultivator possessed Origin Qi. It was like a mark of their birth.

So, through luck or their own ability, might awaken Origin Qis far more powerful than the ones they had been born with, but that was not the norm.

Normally, Origin Qi was sothing predetermined, capable of increasing a cultivator's Qi density and power by thirty or forty percent.

If one's Origin Qi were used in place of normal Qi, the cultivator would generally suffer an absurd drop in power, potentially even becoming crippled or having their soul barred from the cycle of reincarnation.

For this reason, even though active use of Origin Qi could guarantee victory in a bitter battle, cultivators rarely employed it beyond its passive role.

The cause was simple: Origin Qi was limited.

But...

What if there were no end to the Origin Qi in a body? What if the source of that Origin Qi were directly linked to a body, constantly supplying more?

In that case, Origin Qi could be used without restraint.

Qingyi's eyes, until then shut tight, suddenly flew open. His entire body trembled under the weight of the realization.

He wasn't the only one.

Rouxi, sunk deep in silent ditation, snapped awake. The eyes of every stellar sovereign in the sect opened in unison, fixing on the sky.

Space tore open where no plane should exist.

A terrifying Qi engulfed the entire planet, crashing down toward Rouxi's mansion like a curtain of suffocating pressure that thickened the very air.

Even for star sovereigns, the Qi was terrifying. They needed only a single instant to perceive its origin.

That was the Qi of primordial chaos, ripping through the very fabric of space to reach Qingyi.

But there was a problem.

The Qi of primordial chaos should not exist beneath the heavens.

Rouxi, even without fully knowing what it was, was already wide awake.

With a single wave of her hand, she activated the spatial formations surrounding her fortress, runes blazing along the walls in waves of pale light.

She withdrew her servants, every living thing within her palace, even her treasures.

All of them appeared miles away, bewildered. With steady eyes, Rouxi ordered them to move further still.

Monts later, one by one, the sect's other stellar sovereigns arrived, their heavy gazes fixed on the heavens.

It was early morning, and the day had already grown bright. Yet in a single instant, everything changed.

Black clouds, so thick they seed like a divine punishnt about to crash down upon the world, surrounded the blue sky.

The sun was extinguished. Intense darkness fell over the entire planet.

The only thing still illuminating that world now were the relentless lightning bolts tearing through the skies without ceasing, white sparks exploding across the gloomy vastness.

Thunder followed each strike, rolling so deep that the ground itself seed to shudder.

"What happened?" Ma Zhenwu, the sect's last stellar sovereign, appeared with wide eyes locked on the celestial fairy's palace. "Did Qingyi offend the heavens?"

"No..." Rouxi shook her head slowly. "His power certainly defies the heavens, but he did not offend them directly. This should be just a common advancent tribulation among great geniuses, but..."

It was common for peerless geniuses to face such tribulations. The heavens needed to test them, to ensure that all the destiny they had gathered would not go to waste.

Most heavenly tribulations of extermination were exactly that: tests for geniuses, with only a minority used to kill at the enemies of the heavens.

But this did not seem to be rely a tribulation to test a genius.

The sect leader clenched his teeth.

"What are you waiting for? Form formations around the entire sect! We must ensure Long Qingyi has a peaceful breakthrough, and that no external force dares to interfere!"

At the sect leader's command, every Stellar Sovereign moved.

Even Li Tianfa, who had already abandoned any plan to oppose Qingyi, moved with caution.

He was a greedy man, corrupt in his way, but in the end he loved his sect above his own personal desires.

Qingyi was the future of his sect. He had no wish to see that future die because of a mistake of his own making.

With that in mind, no one dared to make a single mistake; they would not allow themselves to make a single mistake.

Rouxi, because that was her beloved son, and the other star lords, because Qingyi was the sect's hope.

Everyone spread out, working with great care.
