He sniffed the air once more, his nostrils flaring as a cheerful smile spread across his feral face, confirming what his senses were telling him.
For a human, noticing such a difference would be nearly impossible. But for a beast like Bai Hu Lie?
Scent was a major part of how they distinguished friends from enemies, and how they identified one another.
Even though they behaved far more civilized than their fully animal relatives, it was still an important part of their society. Each mber could detect one another from hundreds of ters away using nothing but their sense of sll.
The scent of draconic blood in Qingyi was far stronger than before, without a doubt.
And the stronger Qingyi was, the more worthy his great battle in the tournant would be.
"I've made a small discovery recently, Brother Bai Hu Lie," Qingyi said, nodding with a slight smile.

When he finally grasped the aning behind the taunt, his face filled with indignation, and Qingyi burst into laughter.
"Weak? You..." Bai Hu Lie crossed his arms and lifted his chin arrogantly. "You're lucky this venerable one is in a good mood! Otherwise, I'd give you the sa fate they'll et!"
Qingyi rely shook his head, amusent still painting his face. "Shouldn't we go see your father and your sister? It would be a sha if I t this terrible end without even seeing my future wives first."
Bai Hu Lie nodded.
"Yes, my father is desperate for so grandchildren. Now that only my sister and I remain, and I have no interest in marrying a woman who can't at least hold her own against in combat, the burden of producing those little grandchildren will fall solely on you, brother-in-law."
"Ah... looks like you'll have to go look for your wife in the central region, then. I highly doubt you'll find a woman like that around here," Qingyi said, the image of Chen Wei's mother popping into his mind.

"Won are delicate things, brother-in-law," Qingyi smiled.
The fact that Bai Hu Lie knew Qingyi possessed a complete draconic form didn't strike him as strange at all.
Dragons, despite taking human forms, were still primarily four-legged winged beasts.
It would be strange, indeed, if Qingyi didn't have a true form.
"Ah… delicate things break easily. My sister doesn't break, but if you're not careful, I guarantee she'll break you! Hahahaha!" Bai Hu Lie laughed, scratching his forehead.
