"Elder, save !"

A young man was bound to a bronze pillar by the spider demon prodigy, his face twisted in utter terror. An elder from one of the powerful orthodoxies of the Azure Nether Dao Domain—the Water God Palace—saw his disciple's plight and felt his heart burn with fury.

"Ziru… damn those beasts! If any harm cos to the young palace lord of my Water God Palace, our Palace Master, a Saint, will bring our saint-king artifact and make whatever orthodoxy stands behind you pay in blood!"

Upon hearing the threat, Zhu Huangtian tore off one of the Water God Palace prodigy's arms. A blood-curdling scream ripped through the air as the demon chewed on the severed limb, all while staring at the elder with a mocking, murderous grin.

"Old fool, are you threatening ? Unfortunately for you, I despise threats most of all. Speak one more word, and I'll randomly pick another piece of him to eat—until nothing but scraps remain."

The Water God Palace elder watched his disciple suffer such humiliation. His eyes turned bloodshot; he longed to charge straight up the demon rampart.

Zhu Huangtian looked down at the crowd below, blood and flesh still clinging to his fangs, and grinned hideously. "I had captured a batch of you Azure Nether Dao Domain slaves. My original plan was to keep them alive and eat them slowly… but I've changed my mind. I want to play a ga with you. Win one round, and you can take one person back. Lose one round, and one of them dies."

The people below exchanged uneasy glances.

All eyes turned toward Su Chen.

"What ga do you want to play?" Su Chen asked.

Zhu Huangtian's six eyes locked onto Su Chen at once. A cruel smile spread across his face as he spat out two cold words.

"Slaughter."

Su Chen nodded. "And the rules?"

Zhu Huangtian laughed. "Straight to the point—I like that. The rules are simple. If the person you send wins on the battlefield we choose, you claim victory in that round. If they lose… not only does one of your slaves die, but the fighter you sent dies too."

From the Azure Nether Dao Domain side, the elders erupted in protest.

"Young Master Nangong, you absolutely cannot agree! Letting them choose the terrain puts us at a severe disadvantage!"

Yet so of the younger geniuses spoke up. "Young Master Nangong, we should accept. They only managed to pick us off one by one through trickery. In a fair one-on-one fight, we are in no way inferior!"

The Azure Nether prodigies burned with unwillingness to yield.

Zhu Huangtian looked at Su Chen. "Have you decided? If you need more ti to think, I'll eat one person every incense stick's worth of ti until you make up your mind."

Beside him, the Water God Palace genius turned deathly pale—he would have to watch himself be devoured piece by piece.

Just as Zhu Huangtian raised a claw to begin, Su Chen spoke.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

"The Azure Nether Dao Domain accepts… but I have one condition. In these battles, no rcy—life or death, no quarter given."

A glint flashed through Zhu Huangtian's eyes. He nodded. "Agreed."

On the Azure Nether Dao Domain side, a young man of imposing bearing stepped forward. "Nangong Chen, allow to take the first match!"

Su Chen glanced over. The youth ca from the Purple Manor Sacred Land—one of the supre orthodoxies of the Azure Nether Dao Domain. Divine light shimred around him; he possessed a powerful physique and considerable strength, and his arrogance was plain to see.

"First match—you may only win. You are not permitted to lose."

The Purple Manor youth smiled with unshakable confidence. "I will not lose."

Su Chen looked at that almost delusional self-assurance and let out a soft sigh.

From atop the demon rampart descended a muscular demon prodigy crowned with a pair of pitch-black ox horns—the representative of the Demon Ox Clan.

The chosen battlefield was a wide, open plain with nowhere to hide.

The Purple Manor prodigy was suprely conceited. He didn't even bother to take the Black Nether Demon Domain's ox demon seriously.

"Your strength isn't bad. Unfortunately, you t . Today, you die here."

Ji Changkong watched the battlefield and was instantly stunned.

"How can there be soone in this world even more impressive than Senior Brother?"

Su Chen seed to sense sothing and cast a glance at Ji Changkong.

Ji Changkong froze, then hurriedly asked, "Senior Brother, in this life-or-death battle… who do you think will win?"

Su Chen's gaze returned to the battlefield. He gave no answer.

Ji Changkong thought to himself, Senior Brother doesn't have high hopes for the Purple Manor prodigy? This could turn out very badly. When the eldest senior brother fell silent, it was never a good sign.

Inside the battlefield.

The prodigy from Purple Manor Sacred Land summoned a blazing purple sun that scorched the sky with raging flas, pressing the Demon Ox Clan prodigy hard. Victory seed all but assured. The gathered orthodoxies marveled at the overwhelming power on display.

Ji Changkong watched the scene unfold.

Sothing felt off.

On the surface, the Demon Ox prodigy appeared to be taking a brutal beating. But Ji Changkong noticed one detail. The Demon Ox prodigy was steadily closing the distance.

"Not good!"

The realization hit him.

At that mont, the Purple Manor prodigy's pupils shrank sharply.

The Demon Ox prodigy—who had seed on the verge of defeat, covered in wounds—suddenly reached out. Terrifying raw strength tore through the divine ability like paper.

In that instant, the Purple Manor genius seed to glimpse an ancient ox-demon god from the primordial era: a being capable of crushing endless star seas with one hand and ripping saints apart.

"Now… it's my turn!"

A chill ran through the Purple Manor prodigy, but it was already too late.

The Demon Ox prodigy vanished from sight. The distance between them had grown far too short; there was no ti to react. A single punch slamd into the Purple Manor genius, sending his body flying backward. If not for the venerable-grade defensive artifact shielding him, that one strike would have ended his life. He had underestimated his opponent far too much.

From the very beginning, the Demon Ox prodigy had been feigning weakness… patiently enduring, step by step drawing closer!

With monstrous physical power, he gave the Purple Manor prodigy no chance to recover. Fist after fist rained down without rcy, leaving the genius utterly helpless.

Once the Purple Manor prodigy lost all ability to fight back, the Demon Ox prodigy seized him in full view of the crowd, tore him apart with savage force, and bathed in the shower of blood, his expression twisted in grotesque delight.

Then, with deliberate cruelty, he devoured the Purple Manor prodigy in one bite.

The sight ignited murderous fury in every genius of the Azure Nether Dao Domain.

"Hate? What use is hate now?"

Su Chen looked at the raging young talents of his domain and pointed calmly at the victorious Demon Ox prodigy.

"If any of you had stepped into that arena instead, your fate would have been no better. What you need right now is not hatred—it is respect for your opponent. Never underestimate them. Never fall carelessly into their traps.

"Your enemies are another group of prodigies no weaker than you—yet more cunning, more treacherous, more ruthless. This is a trial. To survive, you must win by any ans necessary. If you lose, it is not only your life that ends—others will die because of your failure."

Atop the demon rampart, Zhu Huangtian grinned with satisfaction at the Demon Ox prodigy's victory and tossed the Water God Palace genius to him as a reward. The live-devouring spectacle left every genius of the Azure Nether Dao Domain clenching their fists so tightly their knuckles turned white.
