’Damned demon king, damned demon king, damned demon king.’ I walk through the palace of Delphina-sama, thinking about how much the demon king ruined our lives. Delphina-sama hates when people break her things.
It could be sothing as small as a simple utensil if it’s hers, that’s already reason enough to kill. But this damn monster destroyed a bunch of her things all at once, leaving Delphina-sama seething with rage.
But Delphina-sama would never do anything to the demon king, so she’s taking out her anger on us, the servants. She’s beco even more tyrannical than usual. Before, she’d only kill those who made obvious mistakes.
For example, doing sothing wrong in front of her, or breaking so little thing. But now, she’s killing servants from a distance for mistakes she didn’t even see even so of the veterans are being killed.
After all, it’s impossible to never make any mistakes. I have to be absurdly careful just to not be the next one. Right now, I’m waiting in front of the main hall.
My colleague next to is also really nervous, because Delphina-sama made it clear that after dealing with the demon king, she’s coming to see us for a task. Soon, I see Delphina-sama approaching.
I bow in silence, then I hear a thud and see blood spreading on the floor. The servant next to has been killed, and I know the reason her posture was about 3 centiters off.

I follow Delphina-sama as ordered, while she walks through the palace corridors, so of which are being reconstructed. Of course, as we pass, Delphina-sama kills a few more servants for minor things.
She just kills them and moves on, as if it’s nothing. Eventually, we end up in the palace prison, in another area, arriving at a cell with 4 imprisoned won.
They are the demon saints, although I only know three of them Lilith, Nix, and Kaos. The other one is new, probably a replacent after the demon saint lost a head and gained a new one, like a hydra.
Not that it matters their condition is pretty bad. They’re chained to the wall, with spears, tridents, knives, and swords pierced into their bodies. Delphina-sama tortured them personally for destroying so cities and devouring their inhabitants.
And she’s only alive because she’s the demon king’s possession, so Delphina-sama just tortured her instead of killing her.
"Servant, release her, clean her, and then send her to the surface," Delphina-sama orders. I quickly go to the 4 girls to remove the chains and weapons from their bodies.
"..." After removing all the weapons, Delphina-sama disappears with the weapons, showing that she only ca to personally retrieve the weapons instead of asking a servant to bring them to her.
"Are you alright?" I ask as I finish releasing the chains from the 4 girls. They all look very similar, and I only know their nas, so I don’t know who’s who.
"Y-Yeah..." Their condition is terrible. They’re clearly very strong, but can’t even move properly. They’ve been tortured for a good while, and only after that did Delphina-sama go to "punish" the demon king.
