Now reading: Chapter 278: She won from The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss, a Fantasy novel by GalaxyInfinty.

"Your mommy won again, daughter." I say, holding Azazel in a tight embrace. I was telling Azazel about Pandora’s fight against Mikael Calamitas it was fun to watch.

And Azazel really enjoyed it, although she still mispronounces Pandora’s na and hasn’t even learned to say Grimm’s na properly, getting confused when I ask her to say my na.

But since she enjoyed the fight, the focus was entirely on describing how it happened to Azazel.

Once again, Pandora ca out alive. I saw her die, but again, as soon as the fight was over, a new future was ford. It’s really fun to watch and narrate to Azazel, who was making the cutest expressions.

Making shocked faces at certain parts and getting tears in her eyes at others, thinking she had died or got hurt badly. She changes emotions in a visually entertaining way.

"Mama Pandoru!" Azazel says, hugging the doll tightly with an excited smile. She seems to have understood a large part of the fight just from my descriptions to her.

Although she didn’t understand anything about the magic, so most of it was just descriptions of how Pandora advanced, defended, or did similar things, and I spoke in a way that sounded like reading a children’s book for her to understand.

"Yes, your other mommy won," I tell her with a smile, taking her by the arms and taking her with to the room that has all her favorite toys.

"Mama mama!" Azazel says excitedly with a huge smile on her face. She’s so cute getting excited about Pandora’s victory.

"Now, daughter, I want you to behave while mommy is busy, okay?" I say as we reach the room, which is near mine, and I place her in a chair that has several toys that Gehinnom made.

Honestly, I don’t know why the alchemist is giving so many free toys to my daughter, and I’m really uncomfortable with it, but he’ll be leaving soon, so it doesn’t matter, I guess.

Azazel likes his gifts, and her happiness is contagious. There’s no reason for to try to take her toys away.

There’s just one thing that makes uncomfortable Azazel trying to escape the castle. It took a while, but I understood that she’s looking for Pandora. This attachnt to Pandora irritates deeply.

She hasn’t even seen Pandora, so why does she like her more than she likes ? Honestly, it’s annoying how Pandora’s race is so focused on the main figure of the family.

Fortunately, Azazel would never be able to get through my barrier, whether flying, on the ground, or even digging holes. The barrier is like a do that covers the sky down to the earth.

And I’m not too worried about her getting hurt because, as my daughter, almost nothing would be fatal to her inside the castle, and I’ve discovered that she has excellent regenerative abilities, although it was to be expected.

I accidentally hit Azazel’s head on a table corner, making a cut. She cried in pain, but the wound healed almost instantly, and she stopped crying a few minutes later.

Although it was completely unintentional, how was I supposed to know that we shouldn’t hold children’s arms and start spinning them? Azazel seed to be having fun being spun, so I thought it was fine.

And it was all the fault of one of my clones that ca into the room, distracting , which caused the accident.

"Grimm, how is your daughter?" one of my clones asks when she sees walking through the hallway without Azazel.

"She’s fine, but I’m busy at the mont, preparing so things. The relic being made by the alchemist is almost ready, so I need to make the preparations," I tell the clone.

"Okay, then everything is going according to plan so far. We just need to take care of the details among the other vampires. They’re sending letters and other things," my clone speaks in an almost archaic way.

"Letters about what?"

"The barrier. They’re curious about why you’ve isolated the castle from the rest of the world, and now rumors are spreading like wildfire."

"Tsk, a bunch of idlers. Tell them to stop making up lies, or I’ll cut their heads off." This bunch of idlers, if they’re not doing sothing, they’ll be looking for things where they shouldn’t.

"And we need more food..." Azazel finished everything in a short ti, and we had a lot. Of course, lately, she’s been more receptive to receiving my milk and blood.

But only in relatively limited quantities, and then she goes out to look for food, killing maids and drinking blood from the stocks I have in the castle.

"Again? Your daughter really has a unique appetite."

"..."

"Okay, I’ll let the others know to do this and hire more employees to serve as food for your daughter, of course, only high-quality vampires."

"Also, have you noticed that Gehinnom seems happy?" My clone speaks as if it’s the strangest thing of all.

"What do you an? Isn’t he always the way he is currently?"

"I don’t know, his productivity has increased, and his face is no longer as neutral as before. I’m sure I saw a small smile on him. It’s honestly strange to think that being can smile."

"..." Now that she ntions it, he’s also been unusually generous in giving free gifts. Maybe I should check on his future to see what’s the reason for such a change.

’I’ll leave it for later.’

"And how’s the progress of the clone reciting the magic?" I ask, walking through the hallways with my clone following behind .

"It’s going well. I think it’s almost finished, and that’s great. Although your daughter appeared there a couple of tis and tried to bite so of the clones, which could have caused problems."

"That’s why we took security asures, enclosing the clone in a barrier so that she doesn’t interfere at such a crucial mont for her."

"Okay, I don’t think we’ll have any issues, then," my clone agrees with as we enter my office so I can get so things.

"I heard that Azazel has been making escapes outside the castle and playing in the yard, and she’s even bumped into the barrier you made," my clone tries to make conversation.

"Yes... she’s exploring. I’ve noticed she goes mainly to places she hasn’t been..." This shows that Azazel is mapping the castle in her little head, which is impressive.

Since even as a newborn, she’s already able to perfectly morize the places she’s been and thus make a map in her head to explore new areas.

"Grimm, you know magic has imperfections, and since you can’t detect your daughter, she... may end up escaping the barrier sohow," my clone speaks, trying to tell sothing indirectly.

"I know..." She probably wants to make it clear to everyone in the city about Azazel’s birth, since if Azazel is revealed and she escapes, the vampires who find her will bring her back to .

And if she just escapes without the city knowing about her, soone might decide to take her for sothing bad.

"I don’t think Azazel can find any imperfections in my magic to escape from here. She’s a baby, and I’m soone with as much power as the goddesses." A baby could never get through my barrier.

Not even the current Pandora could find cracks in my magic to escape from here. My clone is just being overly paranoid because I can’t see Azazel’s future.

I hate to admit it, but we’ve beco sowhat dependent on seeing the future to easily find things or know what we want to know.

"And even if she did escape, killing her isn’t that easy, and I could also try to find her by looking at the future of other beings." This was a point I discovered.

I can’t directly see Azazel’s future or find her even if I try with all my might, but if soone sees her and I see that person’s future, I can see her, knowing where she will be.

"Well, if you believe everything is under your control, I can only trust you," my clone agrees.

But unlike my clone, I’m confident that Azazel won’t run away, and even if she did, she’d quickly co back. And I think this for a reason although she likes Pandora a lot, she doesn’t know where Pandora is.

And as a baby, and since I’m also her mother, Azazel ends up avoiding being away from for long periods. I discovered this when I decided to just let her wander the castle while I hid to observe.

After an hour, she beca desperate, looking for and crying. She went to my room and several places I usually spend a lot of ti, as if she knew she could normally find there.

In other words, by instinct, she always seeks out when she’s alone for too long. It must be so kind of self-preservation instinct. She understands that without a mother, she could end up dying, even if she can take care of herself.

Of course, it would be impossible for her to die inside the castle, but she doesn’t understand that, so she’s always looking for , and that’s cute. When I appeared to her when she was crying, she quickly crawled to and clung to , crying.

She clung to all day as if afraid that if she let go, I would disappear again. And thanks to this, I know she won’t run away too far, at least for now.

But in a few months, it will be difficult to say how she will react as she becos smarter. When she finally has the intelligence to understand things, there will be a real chance of her running away to go after Pandora.

So for now, it’s safe to let her roam freely, but in the future, I’ll need to be more careful about this.
