Delphina takes a seat while I head down to the basent to check on the food preparation. I left Delphina enjoying the view just to make sure the food will be perfect.
"So, how’s it going?" I ask the two girls who look similar to , but much smaller, as they are cooking the food.
"It’s almost ready, goddess! We just need to add a few more things. We reckon it’ll be another 3 minutes until everything is perfect to serve," says the one wearing a chef’s hat that’s way too big for her head, with pride.
She seems to be the head cook, while the other is a kitchen assistant. The aroma is really quite good, I hope they don’t cause any trouble.
"Great, as soon as you’re done, wait for the signal and you can bring the al...carefully, if you ss up this date, I can’t even imagine the rage I’ll have." I can’t even make a threat to them.
Because this date started out perfectly, and it can only be kept perfect depending on how they act when it’s their turn. If they ss it up, I’ll be so angry that killing or torturing them won’t seem enough.
I created them solely to perform this duty, if they fail at sothing as simple as bringing the food, it ans their existence has no value since they were born just for this task.
"W-We’ll do everything perfectly, goddess!" The head cook says with confidence, despite a little nervousness.
"I hope so," I say as I return to the surface. I had even thought about music, but Delphina doesn’t seem like the type who enjoys it she seems more the type who prefers a quiet environnt.
I say this based on her servants, where Delphina always demands absolute silence, ordering them not to make a sound, even from their footsteps, showing that for Delphina, silence is best.
"Our al will be ready in 3 minutes, Delphina," I say, sitting at the table next to her, who was enjoying the view.
"We can use this ti to talk about ourselves. What kind of things do you like, Delphina? Do you have any plans for the future?" I ask, trying an approach and evaluating her to see how she reacts.
"I like few things, I suppose preferably quiet and organized environnts," Delphina says, looking at .
’Okay...let’s see what I can get from this...’ Sharks beco stressed or disturbed in environnts with unnatural sounds because the sound interferes with them in various ways.
Delphina has so far shown many characteristics of marine animals in general, but the characteristics of a shark seem to be the most prominent.
’So she would probably have a preference for soft at.’ I think I made a good choice of al that is mainly based on soft at.
’Sharks are quiet creatures, but they are opportunistic could that be the reason Delphina isolates herself in the ocean of the planet?’ Delphina is a complex, yet simple, person.
As I get lost in my thoughts, I hear the sound that indicates the food is ready, so I make a small manipulation in the shadows, signaling that they can co with the food.
And a few seconds later, the delicious sll of food is easily detectable, along with a faint aroma of blood. Delphina, with her bites on , has already demonstrated this clear interest in blood.
So I thought the scent would make it more attractive to her, and as expected, the scent imdiately attracts her, and she looks at the plate that has this aroma.
There are several dishes on the cart that the assistant brings to us two. I ordered various things because I wasn’t sure what she would like or not, and I even made an effort to bring various ingredients just for this al.
"B-Beautiful evening, m-masters. I bring your m-al," the assistant says in a sowhat funny and very timid way, seeming not as bold as the head chef.
She places the trays on the table, all covered, while taking so distance, as she has fulfilled her duty. I was a little worried that she would trip and spill food on Delphina or the floor, but fortunately, nothing happened.
"Delphina, the first dish to serve as an appetizer is this one," I say, pulling off the lid for the appetizer. It’s a type of monster fish that has an extrely soft and juicy at.
However, it is extrely poisonous, and if not handled properly, the poison is still present. Of course, all the poison has been removed and neutralized, leaving only the at not that the poison would be strong enough to affect Delphina, but it clearly affects the taste.
The aroma emanating from the dish is very good, and it was fried to perfection. The fish has a slightly pinkish at, but it turned golden after frying, taking on a nice color that was garnished with sauce and a few vegetables.
I won’t try the appetizers, so it’s just for Delphina. I’m more interested in the main course.
I nervously watch as Delphina tries the at after cutting off a piece. My heart races as I wait for her response.
However, Delphina just eats without expression. I guess I expected too much of a reaction from her face, so I shift to observing body language and notice her tail swaying gently from side to side.
’So she’s enjoying it.’ This calms down a bit. Delphina’s lack of reaction really complicates the situation for , but I like a good challenge.
After a few brief minutes, she finishes the appetizer and a few of the other appetizers I show her. Her expression has been neutral the entire ti, but her tail has shown everything I needed to know.
"Now let’s move on to the main course," I say excitedly about this part. As soon as I remove the lid from the tray, the scent of blood spreads, which seems to imdiately excite Delphina.
The scent is not "strong," just extrely concentrated. Normally, I doubt that just the scent of blood would catch her attention, since she’s always killing servants, but what we have here is not just blood.
It’s a complex mixture that I made after several tests with the blood. In the end, I ca up with a concentration of blood from various different monsters to form a special "sauce" for this al.
This blood is composed of 3% Lilith Nix Kaos blood, which gave it a slightly bitter touch, but nothing too exaggerated. It has 10% Shogo blood, which as a tentacle monster has a slightly sweet blood.
It has 7% blood from a spider-type monster, which has a bad-tasting blood, but when heated, it becos only slightly salty, contrasting with the flavor of Shogo’s blood.
It has 20% blood from an A-Rank wolf monster, which has blood with high levels of electricity, which, when cooked at high heat, resulted in a curiously good flavor.
And it also had 10% blood from the Black Python in my castle. Its blood has a strong bittersweet flavor that, when mixed with Lilith’s blood, solved so taste problems.
However, sothing was missing to complent the flavor, but no matter what monster’s blood I used, it ruined the recipe. So in the end, I ended up using the blood of the highest-level monster on the planet.
Myself the rest of the blood concentration is made up of 50% of my own blood, which incredibly worked well and tasted good. Of course, the recipe wasn’t made just for to like it, it was made for Delphina to like.
And since she has bitten several tis and tasted my blood, she must be slightly familiar with it. This sauce of various bloods is served with a special at that is also a mixture of 27 different monsters.
It was ridiculously difficult to find the perfect combination, and I even asked for help from people in the castle, who told which monsters combined well to enhance the flavor as much as possible.
The at from the 27 monsters was ground and then molded into a steak that was roasted without oil or seasoning to maintain the raw flavor. And after being roasted over high heat, this concentrated blood mixture was poured over it to serve as the sauce.
There are two of these special steaks on the plate, without any sides, because that would ruin the flavor of the steak, and since I judge that Delphina prefers at and I also prefer at, I thought it was perfect to eat the steak without any accompanint.
"..." Delphina stares intently at the plate while taking in the aroma, and I notice her tail moving more actively.
"You can eat, Delphina. If you want more, we can have seconds," I say, as I cut a piece of my steak and try it. The flavor is very good it’s an explosion of flavors that excites instantly.
The taste is perfect as I imagined. Of course, the cook deserves my praise I’m the one who did all the research on how to make it, and I’m also the one who obtained the ingredients, but it was the cook who cooked everything perfectly.
Delphina also tries the at, and even she can’t maintain her neutral expression as she gets a cute, silly little smile that she probably didn’t even notice.
’Fortunately, everything is going as planned, and she’s enjoying it.’ We both continue our al, and I can only feel relief everything is perfect, just as I had planned.
I focus more on watching Delphina than eating. The flavor is a marvel, but the focus of the date is 100% on Delphina, so I prefer to observe her reactions. She’s cute and super fun to watch.
I’ll keep this mory stored forever, and I hope it will be an unforgettable mory for her as well.
