In the following days, Tang Wanwan took Tianmiao to visit all the famous restaurants in the city, and Kong Hou’s dedicated toy room was filled with all kinds of toys. But Tang Wanwan still felt it wasn’t enough. On this day, after having lunch at a restaurant, they went to the largest toy mall in the city.
Dong Xiao and the driver followed behind with a shopping cart. Tang Wanwan struggled to hold Kong Hou, so Kong Hou could easily choose the toys placed above. Tianmiao just stood to one side, pinching a small toy in her hand. It was a red rubber little octopus that popped its eyes out when squeezed.
"Tang Wanwan, what are you doing here?" Suddenly, a voice rang out near Tang Wanwan.
Tang Wanwan turned her head and saw a woman in a pure white dress looking at her with a sneer.
"Zhao Rouman." Tang Wanwan called out the woman’s na with a cold face.
"Oh? Miss Tang, is this child your sister? Brought back by your father from outside?" The woman nad Zhao Rouman scrutinized the Kong Hou in Tang Wanwan’s arms and showed a mocking smile, "Weren’t your parents deeply in love? Looks like they were just acting."
"I think you should go to the hospital and have your brain checked." Tang Wanwan retorted unceremoniously, "Imagination is an illness, it needs treatnt. And, do you think everyone is like your family?"
"You!" Zhao Rouman’s face changed, her eyes full of venom as she looked at Tang Wanwan.
Tang Wanwan, however, was not afraid at all and sneered, "Zhao Rouman, I advise you to mind your words. And don’t provoke again, every ti you’ve done so from our childhood till now, has it ever ended well for you? I don’t know what’s wrong with you, you have a certain resilient quality, what’s it called, frequent failure?"
Zhao Rouman’s face grew darker, she looked at Tang Wanwan coldly, "Tang Wanwan, just you wait."
"Alright then, I’ll be waiting." Tang Wanwan replied nonchalantly.
Zhao Rouman turned around and left.
Kong Hou asked Tang Wanwan, "What did that woman an?"
"She thought you were, um, an illegitimate child." Tang Wanwan initially didn’t want to teach the child badly but then rembered Kong Hou’s age was unknown, so she told him.
Kong Hou’s face darkened as he looked at Zhao Rouman’s retreating figure, letting out a cold snort: "Presumptuous!"
The next mont, there was a scream from Zhao Rouman as she fell flat on the ground, falling without any grace. One of her high heels even fell off.
Tang Wanwan was dumbfounded by this scene. This was the first ti she had seen Zhao Rouman in such an embarrassing state. Although Zhao Rouman had always been sharp-tongued and an to her, she had always been dignified and elegant in front of others. When had she ever been in such a wretched state?
Zhao Rouman only felt her ankle throbbing in pain. Soone imdiately ca to support her, it was the Zhao family’s driver.
Soon, a little boy who looked about seven or eight years old ran over with a worried look: "Sister, are you okay?" He resembled Zhao Rouman to so extent, he was Zhao Rouman’s younger brother, Zhao Tianhe.
"What could be wrong with ?" Zhao Rouman said irritably, grasping the driver’s hand to stand up, "Let’s go, let’s go to the hospital first, who cares about shopping now?"
"Okay, let’s quickly get sister to the hospital." Zhao Tianhe said anxiously.
"No need for your fake kindness." Zhao Rouman snorted coldly.
Zhao Tianhe was taken aback, then followed her silently.
"Who was that kid?" Kong Hou asked, "An illegitimate child?"
"No, she’s the illegitimate child herself." Tang Wanwan said in a low voice.
