Next mont, in the distance, chaotic sounds erupted.
"Go! Masashi, you lead them to run ahead, Shiqiu is in the middle. If zombies charge out, she can use an earth wall to separate them imdiately. I’ll cover the rear." Xu Yuxi urged.
Masashi shouted energetically at the people in the hall, then led the group in a sprint to the door. Many people supported each other, rushing out. The young man who was originally going to be the bait carried an extrely weary young woman, jogging amid the crowd. The woman leaned on his back with a blissful expression, tears still at the corner of her eyes. Zhou Shiqiu followed them. Xu Yuxi jogged behind.
On the left side of the building, dozens of toy remote-controlled cars flashed their lights, making sharp noises, all heading in one direction, opposite to where the crowd was leaving. The spectacle was grand and striking.
Xu Yuxi watched Zhang Qiang rushing over, gave him a thumbs up: "Unexpectedly, you’re quite capable."
"No biggie. These remote-controlled cars all have smart batteries. I started them simultaneously, then planned a route. Soon, they’ll scatter on the road ahead, hopefully buying us more ti." Zhang Qiang grinned broadly, his smile brilliant.
"Would it be possible to activate those larger vehicles with smart systems too?" Xu Yuxi asked.
"Yes. But as you’ve seen, the streets are heavily blocked with cars, and it’s impossible to drive out. Not very useful, but not entirely useless either." Zhang Qiang gave a sly smile, then loud car horns bood from far behind them.
"Amazing!" Xu Yuxi also began to smile, sincerely praising.
"Can only work with so specific vehicles. Not many." Zhang Qiang chuckled, looking at the young man carrying a woman in the crowd ahead, sighing, "That person willingly beca bait for the sake of his love."
"Indeed, in this chaotic world, the evil in human nature gets magnified infinitely, but so does the goodness. I’m fortunate to see more of the good than the bad." Xu Yuxi said, quickly releasing a fireball, hitting a zombie lunging from the rear right. The person closest to the zombie retreated two steps in shock but clamped their mouth shut without making any noise.
"See, these people, though fearful, constantly restrain themselves. Because they know the consequences of not keeping control. It harms others and themselves." Xu Yuxi smiled faintly, "Human nature is always more beautiful. So I believe the whole world will usher in a new dawn, and everything will be alright."
"Xu Yuxi!" Zhang Qiang suddenly smirked, his voice becoming sowhat ethereal, "You, you’ve always been like this."
"What?" Xu Yuxi was stunned.
"Nothing." Zhang Qiang looked ahead, "There are over ten zombies on a street in the right front. Go clear them. I’m going to find Zhou Shiqiu; there’s a few zombies coming this way from fifty ters on the left."
"How do you know?" Xu Yuxi was shocked.
"Felt it." Zhang Qiang squinted slightly, smiling, "Just now, I suddenly sensed many things. My superpower seems to have upgraded."
"Nice! Congratulations!" Xu Yuxi said happily, then ran towards the right front, always fully trusting Zhang Qiang’s words.
