The Ghost King wasn’t a nagging ghost; handing the Star Stone to Xiao Xue without a word, he quietly watched her.
Xiao Xue suddenly stopped crying. Crying too hard, her face turned a little red. She stared blankly at the Ghost King, stretched out her hand, then withdrew it, not taking what was in his hand.
Xiao Xue looked at Han Jing: "Mother, shall I help him?"
Xiao Xue’s voice was soft. Han Jing knew when she pleaded like this, it wasn’t out of mischief or whimsy; she was earnest in her request.

Xiao Xue is still a child, the best ti for her character to develop, so Han Jing always used her insights from both lives to guide her to be happy, in her own way.
Xiao Xue learned well. Han Jing was always proud of having such a smart and considerate daughter.
If she decided to help the Ghost King because she wanted to save Su Yu, Han Jing wouldn’t agree. She appreciated her filial piety and understood her desire for her father, but what they could accomplish themselves didn’t require her sacrifice.
But if she sincerely wanted to help the Ghost King, Han Jing would agree.
If she believed it was the right choice and it made her feel happy and satisfied, then joyful, Han Jing would agree.
Whether this leads to greater consequences than she imagined, that’s up to her.
Han Jing could guide but could not interfere or dictate her life, her thoughts.
Even though she’s still young, she’s an independent person, she has the right to decide what she wants to do.
Seeing Han Jing nod, Xiao Xue’s brows and eyes finally relaxed completely, breaking into a smile. She turned and joyfully struggled to hold the six Star Stones in the Ghost King’s hand, accidentally touching his fingers, and exclaid: "Ah, your hand is so cold, so cold!"
