Li Hongi threw herself to the ground, rolling until she was next to Yun Hao. When she saw him trying to get up, she planted a foot on him and stood up herself.
As if that wasn’t enough, she even threw a remark over her shoulder.
"Yun Hao, I just love you too much. Don’t bla ."
Yun Hao collapsed back onto the ground. "..."

But he wouldn’t get the chance. Watching the wild boar charge toward him, Yun Hao knew he was finished.
Just then, Leng Yuan arrived. He stepped forward with a scythe, and as if he were cutting tofu, the blade sank instantly into the wild boar’s body. With a single, powerful motion, Leng Yuan sliced halfway through the boar’s neck.
A spray of hot blood gushed directly onto Yun Hao’s face.
At that mont, however, no one was paying attention to Yun Hao. All eyes were fixed on Leng Yuan, who looked like a god of slaughter.
They watched as the man brought the scythe down, cleaving off half the boar’s head. The beast had been running so fast that its hind legs couldn’t stop, and its whole body flipped over. Its head landed at a twisted angle.
Blood instantly began to pool. The boar collapsed to the ground, convulsing, its snout twisted around to face its rump.
Many of the female educated youths, snapping back to their senses, shrieked in terror.
The way they looked at Leng Yuan was filled with utter terror, as if they were gazing upon a deranged killer.
Yun Hao was startled, too.
Having just been pulled back from the brink of death, his legs felt like jelly; he couldn’t even stand up.
The scene ford a stark contrast.
One man was so frightened by the boar that his legs had gone weak and he couldn’t move; the other had cut the boar as if it were a block of tofu.
In the end, Hu Ziqiang was the one who went over and helped him to the side.
Feeling the killing intent coming off Leng Yuan, Hu Ziqiang was so scared his own legs nearly buckled.
’This man could kill a wild boar with such ease. He’s terrifying.’
Leng Yuan glanced back at the people from the educated youth outpost, and everyone instinctively took two steps back.
He stood beside the convulsing boar, scythe dripping with blood, his gaze icy. The crowd was truly terrified.
Leng Yuan couldn’t be bothered with these people. His gaze fell upon Yun Hao.
Right then, Yun Hao’s hair, face, and body were all splattered with pig’s blood. The blood, mixed with mud, dripped from his hair. The pretty boy so adored by the girls had beco a grimy-faced clown.

Yun Hao looked up then, his gaze eting Leng Yuan’s. He had a distinct feeling that his current miserable state was entirely Leng Yuan’s doing.

Scowling, he let Hu Ziqiang help him sit down at the side, slowly recovering his strength.
When Gu Jiaojiao saw the boar was dead, she rushed straight into the educated youth compound.
Without even glancing at the other educated youths in the compound, she threw herself into Leng Yuan’s arms and planted a kiss on his face.
"Leng Yuan, you’re my hero."

A smile touched the man’s lips. Catching sight of people approaching in the distance, he set the young woman down and gently ruffled her hair.
"Stay put, now."
The words had barely left his lips when Chen Beiguo rushed over with a group of villagers in tow.
