Aunt Zhao pointed at the clothes on Lin Jiandong’s daughter and son.
"The padded jackets on Lin Jiandong’s two children... Gu Zhiqing asked my daughter-in-law to make those and give them to those two kids, using her own new clothes and a new padded jacket."

"Do you take us all for fools! It’s obvious the clothes for Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang were better. You took the clothes right off their backs for your own children to wear. You’re truly shaless."
’This was the first ti she’d realized how dishonest the ’honest’ Lin Family really was!’
Chen Shulan’s face flushed red, and she could only reply stiffly.
"Sister-in-law Zhao, this is our family’s business, so you don’t need to worry about it. Besides, I didn’t let her freeze. She was adopted anyway. It’s good enough she has clothes to wear and food to eat."

’This was her family’s business. Why did everyone feel the need to ddle in her family’s affairs!’
This attitude was a complete 180 from when they first adopted the children. The crowd couldn’t help but turn to look at Lin Jiandong.
Lin Jiandong was hugging himself, shivering at the side.
’He wished he could just run ho, change his clothes, and co back. It was too cold.’

They were simply acting in public the way they always did at ho.
They were so used to cursing at Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang at ho that the words had just tumbled out of their mouths without a second thought.
Chen Shulan’s expression changed the mont she heard him, and she hurriedly covered her son’s mouth.
But everyone had already heard him. It was too late.
