In an instant, Gu Jiaojiao’s entire deanor changed.
She went from a sweet and docile girl to a queen with an imposing presence.
Especially her once-innocent eyes, which instantly beca cool and dignified.
As Leng Yuan looked at her, he felt a sense of unfamiliarity.
He only knew the Gu Jiaojiao she had beco after marrying him. He realized he knew nothing about her past experiences, her education, or the kind of friends she had.
His brow twitched. He suddenly reached out and pinched Gu Jiaojiao’s soft, fair cheeks.
Gu Jiaojiao’s cheeks were like soft tofu—fair and tender, supple and smooth. He loved the feel of them.
Leng Yuan pinched once, then again. He simply couldn’t get enough.
It hurt a little, and Gu Jiaojiao slapped the back of Leng Yuan’s hand.
A red mark instantly blood on the back of his hand.
The pain grounded him.
Gu Jiaojiao, however, was annoyed.
’There’s sothing wrong with this man.’
"Do you think my face is a piece of dough? You keep kneading it, it’s going to lose its shape."
When Gu Jiaojiao was angry, her voice took on a pouting tone that just made you want to tease her.
Leng Yuan’s eyes darkened.
If it weren’t for the ti and place, he wouldn’t have been able to resist scooping her up into his arms.
Leng Yuan suppressed the stirring in his heart and offered his own face.
"How about I let you pinch back?"
Gu Jiaojiao rolled her eyes.
’My cheeks are soft and springy, perfect for pinching. His, on the other hand, wouldn’t feel nice at all.’
’No way.’
Leng Yuan couldn’t help but lower his voice.
"Don’t be mad. Tonight, I’ll let you pinch sowhere else."
Gu Jiaojiao was speechless.
’This man was unbelievable!’
Puffing her cheeks in a huff, she ignored the man beside her.
Seeing that Jiaojiao was no longer tense, a gentle look filled Leng Yuan’s eyes.
The group walked for a while before they saw a few children building a snowman in the distance. Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang were among them.
Gu Jiaojiao called out to them.
Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang imdiately ran over, their little faces beaming with excitent.
In the past, the other children in the village wouldn’t play with them.

’Then he and Brother Leng would be as good as real brothers.’
The more he thought about it, the more excited Chen JianShe beca.
Leng Yuan was speechless.
He lifted his dark eyes, and his gaze fell upon Chen JianShe.
That one look instantly brought Chen JianShe back to his senses.
He let out a couple of dry laughs.
"Brother Leng, I was just kidding, just kidding."
After saying that, he picked up the bucket of pork and shuffled over to Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang.
He still had that silly, simple grin on his face.
Leng Yuan watched Chen JianShe’s foolish display, and his brow twitched.
Chen JianShe flinched under the intense gaze, instinctively drawing his head back. ’It’s the sa twitch of the brow,’ he thought. ’But when he looks at Sister-in-law, it’s full of doting affection. When he looks at , it’s just plain dangerous.’
Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang were also quite afraid of their older brother, Leng Yuan. The three of them—including Chen JianShe—instinctively slowed their pace, keeping their distance.
Leng Yuan was a man of few words and was usually expressionless, which always gave him an air of aloofness.
He had adopted Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang only because Gu Jiaojiao had wanted to.
Leng Yuan had always been rather reserved toward the two children.
As a result, Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang were still quite scared of him.
However, that didn’t stop them from admiring him.
This was especially true for Xiao Yang. Whenever he stared at Leng Yuan, his eyes would sparkle, his admiration on full display.
