Xu Wenwan was so desperate to know who had made the facial soap that she imdiately agreed to the two n’s request.
She also arranged a ti to et them.
"How about this? One week from now, at this sa ti, I’ll be waiting here for you with the finished facial soap."
"When you see my soap, you’ll tell where you got yours."
The two n exchanged a glance and nodded imdiately. "Then it’s a deal."
In truth, they had no idea who made the facial soap; otherwise, they wouldn’t have been wandering the streets.
However, Xu Wenwan had asked where they *got* the soap in their hands, which was, of course, by buying it.
Xu Wenwan, however, was oblivious to their intentions.
After setting the ti with the two n, she prepared to head ho.
One of the n quietly followed her.
The system, watching this unfold from its space, didn’t bother to warn Xu Wenwan.
’If Xu Wenwan is to absorb Leng Yuan’s fortune quickly,’ it thought, ’she needs to be pushed into a desperate situation.’
’Once she has no way out and only one path left, she’ll definitely get desperate!’
It waited for Xu Wenwan’s desperation to set in.
Xu Wenwan couldn’t stop grinning the entire way ho. The trip had been more than worth it; not only had she scored an antique, but she’d also discovered a business opportunity.
She remained completely unaware that soone was following her, all the way until she got ho.
As for the man, when he saw Xu Wenwan enter the Qingshan Team’s village, he imdiately stopped soone to ask questions.
He ca up with a plausible excuse.
"I just found a ten-cent coin on the road. I think that girl who just passed dropped it, but she was walking too fast for to catch up. Do you know where she lives?"
The villager glanced at the man, then at Xu Wenwan’s retreating figure, not the least bit suspicious.
"That’s our team leader’s daughter."
"Here, give the money. I can return it to her for you."
The man hesitated.
He had only been looking for an excuse; he hadn’t intended to actually give Xu Wenwan any money.
But now he had no choice.
He pulled a ten-cent coin from his pocket, handed it to the villager, and left.
The villager happened to be heading ho anyway, so he took the coin and hurried to catch up with Xu Wenwan.
"Wen Wan, a man found so money you dropped. He couldn’t catch up to you, so he asked to give it to you."
A glint appeared in Xu Wenwan’s eyes as she took the money. "Thanks."
With that, she walked away.
The villager frowned. His impression of Xu Wenwan soured even more.
He was her elder, after all. For Xu Wenwan to not even address him properly and just turn and leave was incredibly rude.
Xu Wenwan held the ten-cent coin. She had no idea what that was all about, but who was she to turn down free money?
Her mind was still preoccupied with the facial soap, and she spent the rest of the walk lost in a daydream about getting rich.
She knew plenty of formulas. For facial soap alone, she could create several different scents.
In her past life, all these formulas had been patented. But now, they were all unclaid.
She could use them however she pleased.
The more Xu Wenwan thought about it, the more excited she beca. Clutching the chamber pot, she walked into the courtyard.
Chen Xiumin was carrying a bundle of dry wheat straw toward the chicken coop.
Now that it was winter, it wasn’t just people who needed to keep warm—the chickens did, too.
The chickens had been so cold the past couple of days that they’d stopped laying eggs. That’s why she had gone to get so straw from a neighbor, planning to add a thicker layer of bedding to the coop.
She had just reached the coop when she saw Xu Wenwan return, cradling sothing in her arms.
At first, Chen Xiumin didn’t pay it much mind, but upon a closer look, she recognized it.
It was a chamber pot.
Chen Xiumin’s expression changed.
"Where on earth did you get a chamber pot?"
’A chamber pot?’
’And she had kissed it!’
In an instant, Xu Wenwan’s face turned utterly foul. She felt as disgusted as if she’d swallowed a fly, a nausea she couldn’t spit out.
She—she scrambled into the house to wash her mouth.
Chen Xiumin had a bad feeling. She tossed the straw beside the coop and marched into Xu Wenwan’s room.
"Are you out of your mind? Bringing ho a chamber pot for no reason? Get it out of here, now!"
