Seeing that Leng Yuan wasn’t angry, Gu Jiaojiao broke into a sweet and beautiful smile.
"As long as you’re not angry. Husband, today is our wedding feast. Everyone else already gave a gift. You wouldn’t have forgotten to prepare one for , would you?"
She knew Leng Yuan hadn’t prepared a gift for her.
She just wanted to use this as an excuse to get him to help her hide the box.

Before she could say the last three words, Gu Jiaojiao saw him pull open the wardrobe and take a scarf and a hat from a side compartnt.
The scarf and hat were a pure, immaculate white, impossibly beautiful.
She blinked, staring at the scarf and hat for a mont before looking back at him, her face lighting up with delighted surprise.
"You got these for ?"
Leng Yuan gave a cool hum of affirmation, placing the hat on Gu Jiaojiao’s head and then wrapping the scarf around her neck. They were a perfect fit.
Gu Jiaojiao’s skin was already fair, and now her large eyes seed even wider. With the hat covering most of her head and the scarf wrapped snugly around her neck, only her eyes were visible. They were dark, bright, and dewy, full of a sweet innocence. She looked exactly like a silly little rabbit hopping about in the snow.
’Then again, my wife isn’t silly, she’s adorable.’
’She just looks so gullible. He was genuinely afraid that if he took his eyes off her for a second, so other man would lure her away.’
The soft fur was warm and comfortable. Gu Jiaojiao absolutely loved it.
She took off the hat and scarf, examining them over and over before finally speaking.
"This is rabbit fur, isn’t it?"
Leng Yuan nodded.
They ca from wild rabbits he had hunted. He’d sold the gray ones, as they weren’t as pretty, but he’d kept the white ones and asked Wang Xiuhua to help make them into a hat and scarf.
Even back then, he had thought Gu Jiaojiao would look beautiful in a white hat and scarf.
And he had been right.
Leng Yuan’s eyes road over his wife, his gaze lingering appreciatively on her fair, delicate face.
’She was truly more beautiful than any flower.’
After a mont of happiness, Gu Jiaojiao started to feel a pang of guilt.
Leng Yuan had prepared a gift for her, but she hadn’t gotten him anything.
Leng Yuan looked at Gu Jiaojiao with a gentle smile.
"I’ve given you my gift. So, where’s yours?"
"Jiaojiao, don’t tell you didn’t prepare anything!"
Leng Yuan was deliberately teasing his new little wife.

After waiting a mont with no sound from outside, Leng Yuan started to worry. Just as he was about to go check on her, Gu Jiaojiao rushed back in.
Leng Yuan sighed, fondly exasperated.
’What a handful,’ he thought.
He smiled as he looked at the red string in Gu Jiaojiao’s hands.
