Now reading: Chapter 19: The Legendary Hero from The Demon Emperor was Saint Emperor, a Game novel by Jichengren.

The Elf Race’s Natural Perception is a very subtle innate skill; it can sense the goodwill or malice of others. The accuracy is not necessarily one hundred percent, but there’s generally a ninety percent certainty.

Although Lynn’s behavior when they t during the day was a bit odd, and his intent to admire her beauty was quite apparent, after closer perception, Xiya could still sense that this person was at least not a bad person.

However, people aren’t simply divided into good or bad. Among her suitors, there were also good people, but that doesn’t an she wanted to associate with them.

"Cousin, since we keep eting so coincidentally, why don’t we dine together?"

At this mont, Little Yuna suddenly suggested having dinner together. It’s only Xiya bringing along two little kids in her group, pretending to be human agents wasn’t an option, and Little Yuna’s grandmother wasn’t present either.

If they were to sit together, it would look like a family of four: Lynn, who looks about twenty-five or twenty-six, paired with the unknown age but seemingly hundreds-year-old Elf sister Xiya, along with two seven or eight-year-old children.

It’s likely Xiya also thought of this, so she didn’t readily agree, but looking at Little Yuna’s expectant expression and Little Youli secretly tugging at her clothes—two children’s votes combined into one—and Lynn did not oppose, it ended as a two-to-one vote.

"When you’re eating later, behave well so you don’t disturb others."

Xiya reached out to pat the two little ones on their round heads, revealing a bright smile.

Even when she doesn’t smile, she is a stunning elf, and this smile made everything else pale by comparison; Lynn was entranced watching on the side.

Fortunately, he had already experienced Vivian’s beauty barrage today, gaining so resistance to allure. Otherwise, he might have been discourteous again.

"Waiter, over here to order."

After a brief daze, Lynn snapped back to reality and quickly called the waiter over.

Now with two adults and two children, what he ordered before was certainly not enough, he needed to order more.

Lynn had so understanding of Little Youli’s dietary preferences, but he was clueless about what Little Yuna liked to eat, and as for Xiya...

Elves often just need pure green foods to survive, famously easy to care for and pleasing to the eye.

"We want to eat small cakes and fruits!"

At that mont, although previously out of sync, Little Youli and Little Yuna suddenly spoke in unison.

It seems kids generally love sweets, no wonder dentists rake in profits.

While waiting for the waiter to serve the food, Little Youli and Little Yuna huddled together whispering, occasionally glancing at Lynn or Xiya, it was unclear what they were privately discussing.

Lynn himself wasn’t great at chatting with girls. He considers himself not very exciting and only has an interest in gas. If he were to chat awkwardly, he couldn’t say to Xiya, "I’ve played this world of yours for ten years, I’m a seasoned ’Miracle’ player..."

Ding!

Suddenly, a light bulb lit up above Lynn’s head; a flash of brilliance made him think of a good way to chat up Xiya.

"Let find it, where was it again..."

Since crossing over, Lynn’s ga interface completely disappeared, replaced by realistic evolution; his backpack and warehouse were gone, and all of his collections were transferred into a tiny spatial ring.

Right now, Lynn was looking for an old quest item stored separately from the normal backpack, so it didn’t take up space, and Lynn had never bothered clearing out his quest item slots.

"Got it! Miss Xiya, do you recognize this?"

Lynn said as he conjured a small dallion out of thin air, displaying it by hand to Miss Xiya.

The dallion was entirely green, with a circle of golden patterns at its center; a big tree was engraved on the back, and an attractive man’s portrait on the front.

Seeing his pointed ears, it wasn’t hard to guess he belonged to the Elf Race.

Initially, when Lynn took out the dallion, Xiya seed uninterested, assuming it was another mundane trick by a boring man trying to catch her attention.

But when she casually glanced at the dallion’s engraved portrait, Xiya’s already gorgeous Kazilan eyes bulged.

"This is..."

Xiya could hardly believe her eyes; if she was not mistaken, the dallion Lynn casually handed over was the ’Promise of the Elf King,’ representing eternal friendship with the Elf Race.

The handso elf imprinted on the dallion was the previous generation Elf King, and by lineage, her uncle.

"This is the Promise of the Elf King. Three years ago, when I mingled in the Elf Kingdom, I helped the Elf Race with a small task, and the Elf King bestowed this to as a keepsake."

Lynn worried Xiya might be an ordinary Elf Race mber, not necessarily familiar with this dallion, so he briefed her a bit.

Truly a Promise of the Elf King gifted by the forr king...

He ntioned it was just a small task for the Elf Race...

Based on the dallion’s significant aning, it represents at least the contribution of averting the catastrophe of annihilation worthy of such a dallion.

According to the historical records of the Elf Race, altogether there have only been three ’Promise of the Elf King’ dallions given:

The first was gifted five thousand years ago to Emperor William, the eternal emperor who abolished slavery, saved countless elves, and supported the establishnt of the Elf Kingdom.

The second was gifted one thousand years ago to the Saint Emperor of Light. When the Elf Kingdom faced a siege by the Sunset Empire, Beastman Kingdom, and Barbarian Tribes, controlled secretly by the Dark Council, and suffered severe casualties edging on national extinction, the Saint Emperor of Light led a coalition of Seven Kingdoms to rescue, thwarting the Dark Council’s sche and saving the elves from the brink of ruin.

As for the third dallion, the forr king once recalled in his last days gifting it to a mysterious person with whom he couldn’t rember specifics.

However, judging by the tiline of the dallion’s presentation, the conclusion of the battle against the Three Demon Race Army Corps three years ago should be attributed to this person. Otherwise, who else can earn the rare Promise of the Elf King?

"Are you the Hero who repelled the three Demon Kings three years ago?"

Xiya covered her mouth, filled with disbelief. She was not doubting the genuineness of the Promise of the Elf King but couldn’t believe the youthful-looking Lynn turned out to be the legendary mysterious Hero who combated the three Demon Kings.

Although the Human Race is different from the Elf Race, they can grow within a few decades, whereas elves that age remain children. Nonetheless, he seed excessively young...

"I suppose... It truly is ."

Lynn hesitated slightly because, in his mory, he consecutively executed the three Demon Kings rather than rely repelling them.

But considering from a player’s perspective, super bosses respawn, so in the NPC’s view, their survival might not be surprising.
