While the selection results haven’t been announced, and the ceremony for the Saintess’ appointnt as the Life Divine Envoy hasn’t begun, Natasha saw Lynn staring at the statue of the Goddess of Nature and Life with fascination, so she talked to him about the Dragon Race’s impression of this goddess.
In the background story of the Miracle World that Lynn knew, this guardian deity of the Elf Race wasn’t considered an important character. Her role was minor, rarely ntioned, and whenever it was, she was praised for her beauty and strength, but there were no actual examples of her power.
But not only the Goddess of Nature and Life is like this; other deities of the Pantheon in the Miracle World’s background story are re backgrounds too. Although they frequently sent miracles, the deities themselves almost never appeared in the Miracle World.
The scarce ntions of deities’ appearances are from ancient tis, too distant to verify, even for the long-lived Dragon Race with inherited mories which lacks detailed records or specific mories.
"The goddess is too distant from us, I don’t care. I just want to see if Xiya will be selected, and if we’re able to smoothly take her away after she is."
Regarding the beauty of the Goddess of Nature and Life, Lynn simply appreciated it. They were different from one another, living in separate worlds, with no connection between them. She was just a goddess who’s invisible and untouchable, she couldn’t even reply to his ssage on WeChat with a ’haha’ or ’taking a bath’. There was really nothing to dwell on.
"I feel Xiya has more than an eighty percent chance of winning, but whether we’ll be able to take her away, that’s really hard to say. After all, by that ti, she would be a Divine Envoy, and it may not be convenient for her to continue following you."
Natasha said with a nodding head. She actually wanted to say that Lynn was just one level away from eting the goddess, but she decided to talk only about Xiya, as she really didn’t want to create a rival at the divine level.
"I’m the Divine King’s envoy, if she’s selected, she’d just be the Main God’s envoy, still a level below . The Goddess of Nature and Life hangs with the Light God King, her envoy following is just right..."
As Lynn’s words fell, Natasha was about to mutter sothing, but at this ti the Elf Queen jumped up, soaring onto the high platform with the goddess statue, looking solemnly at those below.
"The ti has co, please deliver the Divine Oracle!"
As she spoke, it was precisely noon, and as the Elf Queen’s high-pitched voice rang out, a bright green beam of light descended from the cloudless sky.
When that beam of light landed on the head of the Goddess of Nature and Life statue, it gradually revealed a tender leaf amidst the green light.
The leaf was large and square, resembling more a page than a leaf, and it functioned like a page as well, because it had the Divine Oracle of the Goddess of Nature and Life written on it.
Lynn had seen countless miracles in the ga "Miracle," so much so that he grew numb to it, as each update had miracles involved - after all, the ga is called "Miracle," isn’t it?
But others... well, the other elves are different, aside from the Elf Queen as Nature’s ssenger, it’s hard for other elves to witness a miracle, since Lady Goddess won’t just deliver miracles at any ti, and events like the Saintess selection aren’t frequent. Saintesses mostly co from the Elf Race and have long lifespans, making it hard to encounter a "change of term".
"The result of the Saintess selection is upon the Divine Oracle. The Lady Goddess has always been taciturn, so only the na of the chosen Saintess is written. Let announce the selection result below..."
Speaking of which, the Elf Queen raised her hand to beckon to the Divine Oracle Leaf on the statue, and the leaf slowly descended, landing in her palm.
The Elf Queen unfolded the leaf, and the expression moved on her charming face, yet it wasn’t one of surprise.
Although she hadn’t yet announced the result, those witnessing, including the elves and Druids, had already inferred the outco.
"The new generation of the Saintess... Xiya Belinda!"
The Elf Queen, unlike so Human Race leaders who lull people to sleep with speeches, announced the result in a straightforward manner, finishing it in one sentence, while others might not even have their emotions ready.
And since the chosen Saintess is her own sister, having the closest blood lineage, the Elf Queen specially flipped the Divine Oracle Leaf to show it to the participants and spectators below the platform.
Indeed, the leaf imbued with Divine Power bears only one na, which is Xiya Belinda, and the Elf Queen wouldn’t falsely deliver the Divine Oracle just for her sister’s selection. No matter what, she is also Lady Goddess’s envoy, no Divine Envoy would dare offend their own deity.
Xiya’s election t the expectations of most participants and spectators, with no one unwilling to accept it, as it was the Lady Goddess’s personal selection, unlike a voting process where dark play could occur.
In essence, the Saintess selection is Lady Goddess picking her most favored servant personally; the followers can only participate by nominating candidates.
Now that Lady Goddess has selected, it seems the sisters of the Elf Queen are truly favored by Lady Goddess, appointing them separately as Nature’s ssenger and Life Divine Envoy, generously bestowed.
"Xiya Belinda, please ascend the high platform, receive Lady Goddess’s blessing, and be appointed as the Life Divine Envoy!"
As soon as the Elf Queen’s voice fell, Xiya happily stepped onto the platform, passed her sister, and slowly approached the statue of the Goddess of Nature and Life.
From a distance, it looked as if Xiya was about to hug the goddess’s leg, and as the statue was magnified several tis to scale, one leg was taller than Xiya herself; hugging that leg wasn’t too bad.
Blessing, once again a blessing. Lynn was genuinely a bit numb to it, every ti he hosted events or attended ceremonies, there seed to be a deity bestowing blessings. Aren’t the gods generally a bit stingy? Otherwise, the upper-echelon power level in the Miracle World wouldn’t be so weak.
While Lynn quietly grumbled about the gods, in the clear sky, another beam of green light descended straight onto Xiya’s head.
Lynn looked at Xiya’s head glowing with a green hue and hesitated to speak; what’s this? Did the Goddess of Nature and Life know about my wild escapades in the Demon Realm? Is she hinting at Xiya here?
Luckily, this thing fell on Xiya’s head, implying my fidelity isn’t too strong; if it had fallen on mine, wouldn’t I have to duel this troubleso goddess!
Perhaps it was a coincidence, or a shared sense, while Lynn wildly pondered these crazy thoughts, another green beam erged from the distant sky, shooting down recklessly.
Under the astonished gazes of the assembly of elves and Druids, the green light flew straight behind the platform.
It wasn’t where the statue was, nor even within the platform’s range; it was the audience seating for special guests, where Lynn and Natasha were assigned to observe the ceremony.
What the heck? Weren’t... is this for real?
Although the green beam hadn’t landed yet, Lynn already knew who it was aid at.
Every blessing necessarily involves pulling Lynn in for a reason, or even without one, offering a chance for ascension to divinity.
He didn’t expect even the Goddess of Nature and Life, a deity sounding positive, would play this trick. What on earth are the gods planning upstairs?
Not good! There’s not enough wife power this ti; encountering this wave makes it difficult to share the experience...
Besides, Xiya herself is receiving the blessing, she can’t pull her into the team, just Natasha alone won’t suffice?
Do I have to find a couple more?
Lynn instinctively glanced at the dumbfounded face of the Elf Queen, who was just as surprised as other elves...
