Catherine stared intently at the plaque, and almost imdiately, the lust curse dormant in her body began to surge, making her instinctively look through the plaque at Lynn holding the black card.
How strange, the more she looked at him, the more pleasing he seed, and he slled so good...
"This is the Demon King Order of the Lust Demon King, obtained when I first defeated the Lust Demon King. I don’t know if it works well."
Lynn noticed Catherine’s change in expression, but he only thought she was happy, as her squinting eyes seed to portray that she was smiling.
"Demon King Order... You have sothing like this, huh, ah!?"
Catherine reached out to take the Demon King Order, but as soon as the icy token touched her hand, she flung it away as if she had been pricked by needles. When the group finally reacted, they found Catherine’s previously smooth, tender jade-like hand had turned bright red.
"There’s Demonic Qi on it! And it’s very strong!"
Catherine shook her aching hand with vigor, frowning as she watched Lynn pick up the Demon King Order she had flung away.
"This is a Demon King Order, should it not have Demonic Qi?"
In Lynn’s hands, the Demon King Order that had hurt Catherine behaved obediently, seemingly sensing the aura of authority he carried.
"Why aren’t you affected? Oh, you’re a Demigod, that explains it..."
Catherine might have been confused by the burn, staring blankly at Lynn, answering her own question.
"Does anyone have any idea how this thing should be used?"
Ignoring the mature appearance but sowhat silly deanor of Catherine, Lynn raised the Demon King Order to ask the group present.
"I think Lynn should hold the Demon King Order and kiss Catherine once to lift her curse."
Xiya pondered for a mont before tentatively sharing her thought.
Even now, she was still lending her support. She had no choice; among all the n she knew, only Lynn seed reliable enough to help Catherine find a date.
Of course, in her mind, the only man she felt she had a "known" relationship with seed to be Lynn.
"Why use a kiss? Can’t you just use the Demon King Order to command the curse directly?"
Catherine disagreed with Xiya’s suggestion; she had co to her senses now, realizing that Xiya was acting as a matchmaker, trying to introduce a man she had set her eyes on.
Good grief, Xiya Belinda, aren’t we at least sworn sisters if not blood sisters? But I didn’t expect you to think sworn sisters aren’t enough and want to beco even closer!
"That’s the Lust Demon King’s curse; if it could be lifted without any hint of lust, wouldn’t that make the Demon King’s title pointless?"
Xiya retorted to Catherine with reason and logic. Though she had selfish motives in her previous suggestion, it wasn’t entirely without rit.
"But... I can’t accept this."
Catherine, not particularly articulate, didn’t know how to respond to Xiya’s counter and couldn’t accept being kissed by a man she wasn’t even familiar with.
"Why are you two arguing again? I asked for ideas, not favors. Xiya, focus, save your improvisations for when they’re needed. I’m not asking for your help right now."
Seeing Xiya and Catherine in a verbal tussle again, Lynn quickly interjected to stop them; otherwise, who knows how long it would continue.
"I think maybe Lynn should hold the Demon King Order, grab Catherine’s hand, absorb the curse into the Demon King Order, or use the Demon King Order to shake off the curse."
Having observed for a while, Vivian had long understood their situation. Unlike Xiya’s matchmaking intentions, her suggestion was more straightforward.
"Worth a try."
Lynn agreed, then turned to look at Catherine, who nodded to express her consent.
If it was just about holding hands, that wasn’t much of an issue. Although Catherine wasn’t in the habit of shaking hands with n, she couldn’t have everything her way when it ca to lifting the curse.
"Let give it a try."
Lynn casually took Catherine’s tender little hand, marking the first physical contact since he’d known her for eleven years.
Once, she was an NPC protected from harassnt in a ga, leaving Lynn helpless, but now she was a real person, so he had no qualms about reaching out.
Her skin was smooth and delicate, a testant to her natural beauty untouched by any signs of aging.
Unfortunately, they were on business now, preventing Lynn from savoring it. Before Catherine noticed anything amiss, Lynn tried to infuse Fighting Spirit into the Demon King Order, attempting to activate it.
Catherine was extrely close to Lynn, and as soon as he unleashed his Fighting Spirit, she was stunned.
Such an overwhelming and majestic force, in comparison, her own 450-level strength felt like a tiny boat in a vast sea, not even a fingernail.
Even this was rely a fraction inadvertently leaked by Lynn during his activation; when directed at her, even a fraction of a fraction would be enough to overwhelm her.
Yet, after injecting such astonishing strength into the Demon King Order, no waves were stirred. If forced to say a change occurred, its pitch-black color seed to lighten slightly...
Lynn noticed this. His unaligned Fighting Spirit seed mismatched with the Demon King Order. He possessed power that was better suited, but could he reveal his Magic Power in front of Vivian, Xiya, and Catherine?
The two kids might not understand, but Xiya and Catherine were formidable warriors, and Vivian, though inexperienced, had so noble insight. If he exposed any Demonic Qi or Magic Power, their three pairs of dazzling eyes would lock onto him instantly.
"Damn it, I’m the Demon Emperor now; can’t you listen to reason, you lousy token?"
Lynn silently cursed the Demon King Order, then to his surprise, it suddenly released black smoke, as if sothing had clicked.
At almost the sa ti, a black smoke erged from Catherine’s brow, and under the group’s gaze, the black smoke from the Demon King Order engulfed the smoke from Catherine’s body whole, not leaving even a root extension.
"The curse... is gone!"
With the smoke devoured, Catherine’s ntal world instantly cleared, a relief from a heavy burden.
"Wait! I’ve leveled up!"
Just before the joy of lifting the curse flooded her heart, Catherine received another piece of good news.
