The Demon Fiend was enraged. It rose to its feet, murder in its eyes, ready to strike Yang An.
It couldn’t find any other living creatures right now, but this Buddha’s Son, despite only being in the Visceral Stone Realm, must have abundant Life Force. Even if it wasn’t enough to help it fully overco the backlash, it would surely be close.
But when it saw the look of eager anticipation on the monk’s face, as if he were just waiting for an attack, the Demon Fiend hesitated.

As the Demon Fiend hesitated, Yang An took the initiative, walking toward it step by step.

Hearing Yang An’s words and seeing him advance so boldly, the Demon Fiend actually took two steps back.
"You damned bald monk!"
It cursed abruptly. Its increasingly feeble state ant it could no longer afford to hesitate. With no other choice, it gave up. Its body instantly transford into a black shadow and shot into the distance, covering a thousand ters in the blink of an eye.
’It’s infuriating to let this guy go, but I have no choice. I need to find other living beings to devour, and fast.’
"Don’t run! You already captured , the Buddha’s Son! What are you afraid of?
If you leave here, what will the other Demon Fiends think when they find out? How will they see you? Just lock up again!"
A voice suddenly bood from behind the Demon Fiend, carrying clearly over a distance of several dozen ters.

The Demon Fiend was aghast. ’He’s actually chasing ? But at his Visceral Stone Realm speed, there’s no way he can keep up. He’ll just be left in the dust.’
It was suddenly struck by the impulse to turn back and capture him again.

A massive cloud of Red Fog erupted from the Demon Fiend’s body. As it continued to flee, the fog condensed into the shape of another demon, which threw a punch at the pursuing Yang An.

Yang An didn’t dodge or evade. His body suddenly swelled, and a layer of golden Dust coated him as he charged straight into the Red Fog demon.
BOOM—
With a trendous roar, a huge portion of the Red Fog evaporated into black smoke.
By the ti Yang An passed through the Red Fog and looked ahead, the Demon Fiend had already vanished, its aura fading into the distance.
Having no other choice, Yang An stopped, a look of disappointnt on his face.
’So close, so close!’
’A dignified Zombie God Great Demon Fiend, and he’s this much of a coward? I served myself up on a silver platter and he still ran. Pah!’
He was furious, but there was nothing to be done. To catch that Demon Fiend, he would have to release all his Concealnt Seals.
He couldn’t expose his true Cultivation Level yet, so he had to let it go.
On the bright side, the Demon Fiend had brought him here, and with Qing Xin nowhere to be found, he was free to take care of his own business.
’Since I can’t use that Demon Fiend’s flesh and blood, I’ll just have to find others.’

It had just started to rise when it coughed up a great gout of foul-slling blood. Its body was growing ever weaker, but its ghastly face was filled with relief.
’A mont ago, my Red Fog barely managed to stop that damned little monk.’
’And I’m a Zombie God!’
’Even a weakened Zombie God is still a Zombie God.’
"Dammit! It really was a trap!"

In a dilapidated town of shattered eaves and crumbling walls, the air was thick with the stench of blood.
A pack of Demon Fiends was scavenging through the ruins when they all suddenly snapped their heads in the sa direction.
"It stinks..."
Yang An rubbed his nose. No matter how many tis he slled it, the foul, putrid stench of Demon Fiends still gave him an almost allergic revulsion.
’There are quite a few Demon Fiends in this town. None of them are particularly strong, though. Not even a single Corpse Transformation.’
’But the Earth Spirit Stele is just short of what it needs. The number of Demon Fiends here should be enough.’
He hadn’t bothered to conceal his aura upon arrival. Within a single breath, hordes of Demon Fiends were swarming toward him from every direction.
These Demon Fiends weren’t strong, and unlike the Zombie God Great Demon Fiend, they possessed no intellect, only a mad frenzy.
"Delivery’s here!"
Excitent lit up Yang An’s face. He had long awaited the revival of the Earth Spirit Stele, and the mont had finally arrived.
In the next instant, his body abruptly swelled, his clothes straining at the seams.
He needed flesh and blood, so Light Magic wouldn’t be appropriate for this.

Yang An instantly beca a golden afterimage, charging toward the Demon Fiends.

Less than half an hour later, Yang An was soaked head to toe in foul-slling blood. His clothes were stained red, caked with coagulated gore, but a wide smile stretched across his face.
Every Demon Fiend in the town—at least several hundred of them—had now vanished without a trace, devoured by him.
In his hand, the thumb-sized silver bead was now squirming as if it were a living thing.
’The Earth Spirit Stele... it’s starting to revive!’
