However, this made Yang An all the more vigilant. ’Too normal’ was the most abnormal thing of all. Caution was paramount.
His top priority now was to find any trace of the others and get information about the Immortal Origin Land.
Yang An looked up at the sky, then imdiately flew upward, intending to survey the surrounding environnt from a high altitude.
But just as he flew over a hundred ters up, he suddenly heard a loud BOOM.
Thunder suddenly rumbled across the once clear, cloudless sky. In that instant, Yang An felt the hair on his body stand on end as a chilling sense of crisis washed over him.
’I’ve been targeted!’
His heart jumped in alarm. Yang An instantly stopped flying upward and plumted back toward the ground. At the sa ti, he activated the Treasure Light Glaze Purification Technique, enveloping his entire body in a cyan glow.
But when Yang An landed, the thunder he had just heard vanished without a trace. He himself was completely unhard.
’Looks like I can’t fly too high.’
Resigned, Yang An had no choice but to fly at a low altitude, randomly picking a direction and heading off.
But before he had flown more than a few hundred ters, the ground suddenly shook. A giant worm erupted from beneath the earth, opening its nacing maw and lunging straight for him.
The worm had no aura indicating a Cultivation Level. It wasn’t a Demon Fiend, just an ordinary monster.

Just as Yang An thought it was over, the chunks of flesh on the ground transford into vibrant butterflies, which flew off into the distance in a large swarm.
This scene left Yang An rather astonished. Before he could figure out what was happening, several more giant worms burst from the ground and attacked him in unison.
This ti, Yang An didn’t attack. He simply sped up and dodged the worms’ assault.
Having missed their target, the worms quickly burrowed back into the ground and fell silent.
’Strange...’
Yang An muttered to himself, not intending to pay it any more mind. But when he turned around, his gaze froze. He couldn’t believe his eyes.
Flying toward him from the distant horizon was a giant... missile?!!!
Trailing a long plu of fire, the missile appeared before Yang An in an instant, so fast that he didn’t even have ti to react.
’Why would there be a missile in this place? Holy shit!!’
With no ti to dodge, a burst of black light erupted from Yang An’s body.
Dark Communication Spell!
The black light instantly froze everything within a hundred-ter radius. Even the missile hung motionless in mid-air, re inches from him, as if ti itself had stood still.
’Is it really a missile?’
Driven by intense curiosity, Yang An enveloped himself in the cyan glow of the Treasure Light Glaze Purification Technique and approached the missile, wanting to get a closer look.
But as he examined it up close, countless eyes suddenly opened on the missile’s surface. The eyes shot out beams of red light that spun in a 360-degree arc, rapidly slicing through everything in their path. The beams also passed through Yang An, instantly slicing his body in half at the waist.
Flesh and blood sprayed from Yang An’s bisected torso, but then, as if being sucked back in, everything rapidly returned to his body. He healed in the blink of an eye.
The rays hadn’t caused him much harm, but Yang An was no longer calm.
He quickly flew a safe distance away and, at the sa ti, unleashed a torrent of Golden Radiance that instantly destroyed the missile. Shattered components rained down from the sky and scattered across the ground.
’What the hell is this thing?’
Yang An grew even more bewildered. Looking at the fallen components, he could see they were indeed modern products.
’Could this Immortal Origin Land have so connection to modern society?’
The thought had barely crossed his mind when the components on the ground suddenly erupted in a shower of sparks.

A series of whizzing sounds echoed as the objects, trailing plus of smoke, suddenly shot into the sky and exploded into... fireworks!
Fireworks blossod under the bright, clear sky. The scene was incredibly bizarre, but sothing even stranger was to follow.
The exploding fireworks actually ford a series of strange patterns.
They were... pixelated smiley faces!
Just as these smiley faces appeared, they suddenly transford into flesh and blood, twisting into ghastly ghost faces. They then rained down toward Yang An, as if trying to devour him whole.
And at that mont, witnessing the scene unfold, Yang An was left in utter disarray.
