"The Power of Rules here is extrely potent. It must be generated by at least a Middle Grade Forbidden Artifact Fragnt. We can’t use the Power of Rules ourselves within this Immortal Origin Land. If this keeps up, we’ll never reach the central altar. Does anyone have a good strategy?"
"The Rules of this Immortal Origin Land are truly bizarre, transcending all common sense. The more illogical sothing seems, the more likely it is to happen. And the closer we get to the center, the stronger the Power of Rules becos. Given our strength, it will be very difficult to get inside with these Rules manifesting."
"I have an idea!"
A Zen Master suddenly spoke up, and all eyes turned to him.
"We can find so Loose Cultivators and control them. The weaker their Cultivation Level, the greater the chance they’ll be able to enter the altar. We can just use their physical bodies to get inside."
"Amitabha... This act goes against the heavens, but... what a marvelous idea!"
"Marvelous! Let’s do it! Go, quickly!"
Qing Xin was in full agreent. He nodded, and everyone else readily accepted the plan.
The group quickly vanished, off to find targets to carry out their plan.
...
「In a lush, dense mountain forest.」
Yang An watched, helpless, as several Cultivators were struck by a teorite falling from the sky. A look of pity crossed his face as he surveyed the crimson ground, littered with flesh and blood.
’A step too late, again.’
He wanted to find so living Cultivators to test his theory, but every person he’d co across on his way here had died a grueso death before he could even get close.
Although he hadn’t managed to speak with any of them, witnessing these scenes only served to confirm his suspicions.
’The more impossible you think sothing is, the more likely it is to happen!’
’That must be the Rule governing all the strange phenona in this place.’
Yang An recalled the information about Nine Phoenix Ridge he’d gotten from the Bow Lady before entering.
The villagers who entered the mountains had a strange dream about a monstrous, nine-headed bird. They dismissed it as just a dream, but then the creature appeared and devoured everyone in their village.
This fit perfectly with the Rules of the Immortal Origin Land here.
’Following that logic,’ he thought, ’if things like missiles and Transforrs were to show up here, it would be precisely because I believe their appearance is impossible.’
Yang An also had a gut feeling that he was approaching a very important location. The closer he got, the more powerful the Rules beca.
While the Cultivators might have been able to resist the things that appeared earlier, the deeper he went, the faster they died, with almost no ability to fight back.
’So, where is this important place? What can I gain by going there? A Forbidden Artifact Fragnt?’
His true Cultivation Level was only a step away from the Zombie God realm. To ascend, a Forbidden Artifact Fragnt was essential.
Since he was already here, he had to investigate, no matter the cost.
Yang An gazed out at the mountains. The only sound was the wind rustling through the forest.
Just as he was lost in thought, the teorite that had landed earlier began to RUMBLE and shake. The whole earth trembled.
Yang An snapped his gaze back to it. The teorite was pulling in a huge amount of surrounding rock, forming a monster dozens of ters tall. The earth and stone began to morph into flesh and blood.
It was a dinosaur-like creature with a thick body and a long tail. Its head was covered in sharp spikes, and massive dorsal fins ran down its spine.
’Shit! Godzilla!’
Yang An’s expression changed. ’Just as I thought. These damn things are getting stronger and stronger.’
’First missiles, then chs, then Transforrs, and now Godzilla. What’s next, a damn space cruiser? How the hell am I supposed to fight that?!’
Fortunately, he had entered this place with a vessel, not his true body.
Otherwise, Yang An would have been long gone. He wouldn’t be playing this ga anymore.
Godzilla ford in an instant. Its ferocious gaze imdiately locked onto Yang An. It had co specifically for him.
A heaven-shaking roar erupted. Godzilla’s dorsal fins glowed red as a crimson light surged within its body. It then unleashed a blazing beam of scarlet energy at Yang An, the scorching heat igniting everything in the vicinity.
Yang An reacted instantly. The mont Godzilla threw its head back to roar, he was already moving, flying rapidly into the distance while activating his Qi Guang Technique to enter the Light Absorption Form.
In the blink of an eye, Yang An was already a kiloter away.
Only then did the energy beam wash over the area. It grazed past him in an instant, carving a massive trench in the ground and nearly scoring a direct hit.
A wave of pain shot through him. In an instant, his left arm turned to ash. The attack was terrifying, on par with Light Magic. Had it struck his entire body, he would have been completely incinerated in a split second.
Flesh and blood surged frantically at the stump of his severed arm, and a new limb quickly grew in its place. Seizing the opportunity, Yang An put even more distance between them.
With a final, unwilling, earth-shaking roar, the towering Godzilla disintegrated into a pile of countless stones.
Just as Yang An reached a deserted area and, following his intuition, began to approach the so-called Core Land, a figure appeared out of thin air to block his path.
"Benefactor, please halt."
It was a Monk wearing robes and a Kasaya. He was a Zen Master—and soone Yang An recognized.
Qing Xin!
Staring at Zen Master Qing Xin before him, Yang An ca to a halt. Qing Xin was blocking his way forward.
"Benefactor, which Sect are you a Cultivator of?"
Qing Xin gave Yang An a strange look. He saw that Yang An wore a mask, and surprisingly, he couldn’t see the man’s face behind it. However, he could sense the man’s Cultivation Level—rely the Early Stage of Corpse Transformation.
