The response ca imdiately.

[Ding!]

[Qi Condensation (Level 9): 9000 Luck Points]

Yang Qingxi didn’t hesitate.

’Buy it.’

The confirmation followed instantly.

Her body trembled slightly as spiritual energy surged within her, her cultivation rising forcefully.

But she didn’t stop. She knew very well that Level 9 Qi Condensation was not enough to have complete suppression over the enemies.

Another prompt appeared.

[Breakthrough - Foundation Building (Level 1): 9000 Luck Points]

Yang Qingxi’s gaze didn’t waver.

’Do it.’

The mont the command was issued, the change intensified.

---

Beside her, Su Mo’s expression shifted.

He clearly felt it.

A sudden surge of spiritual energy erupted from Yang Qingxi’s body. It was like a tide rising rapidly, breaking through its previous limits.

’Huh?’

His eyes flickered.

’Did Miss Yang just... increase her cultivation?’

’But why so sudden?’

Thoughtful.

He activated his Devil’s Eyes and focused his Insight Ability on the two approaching figures. The information surfaced quickly in his mind.

’Peak Qi Condensation... and the other one is Level 8?’ He nodded slightly in realisation. ’No wonder she rushed to break through.’

Yang Qingxi had already co out of her brief daze. The surge of strength within her body had stabilised, and the change was obvious.

Not only had her cultivation increased, but the very quality of her spiritual energy had transford. It felt denser, purer, and far more refined than before.

The difference between Qi Condensation and Foundation Building was not just about quantity—it was a qualitative leap.

"Su Mo," she said in a low voice, "the Level 9 guy is the new protagonist. His na is Wu Chaochang..." She then relayed all the information provided by her system without leaving out any detail.

Su Mo listened attentively, his expression calm but focused. Among all the information, two points stood out to him the most.

"Evil Divination Mirror... White Moon Sect..." he murmured, his brows knitting slightly. "Can we presu the mirror is his golden finger?"

"Golden what?" Yang Qingxi asked, confused.

"As in his cheat," Su Mo replied with a faint sigh. "Sothing like our system. The special advantage that sets us apart from the rest."

"Oh..." Yang Qingxi nodded. "Then it’s possible. We can confirm it once we get that mirror."

"I was thinking the sa," Su Mo said, then paused. "But for now, let’s put that aside. What I’m more interested in is this White Moon Sect. Do you have any information about them?"

Yang Qingxi shook her head honestly. "I don’t. You know . Before I got the system, I didn’t even know that supernaturals existed."

"That’s... expected," Su Mo said, not particularly disappointed. "Then we’ll have to figure it out step by step."

His gaze turned thoughtful. "If it really is a sect of cultivators like those described in novels, then we need to know their structure. Their average strength, their peak combat power... everything."

His tone remained calm, but there was a hint of seriousness beneath it. Whether that sect would beco an ally or an enemy in the future, they couldn’t afford to be ignorant.

Yang Qingxi thought for a mont, then said, "Why don’t you use your ability to extract their mories?"

"My ability only works on corpses," Su Mo replied plainly.

Yang Qingxi didn’t even pause. "Then just turn them into corpses."

Her tone was casual. As if talking about doing laundry.

Su Mo stared at her in shock. A faint chill ran down his spine.

"Miss Yang... let’s not go that far, alright?" he said, forcing a smile. "We just need information. Living people can answer questions too."

Yang Qingxi blinked, then suddenly slapped her forehead lightly. "Oh... right. Why didn’t I think of that?" she said, sounding genuinely surprised. "Guess I’m a bit nervous. Hehe~"

"Yeah... why didn’t you..." Su Mo muttered, his smile stiff.

[Nervous?]

[I feel like you might kill people out of nervousness.]

Yang Qingxi’s cheeks flushed faintly. She turned her head away, pretending not to notice his expression.

’That was embarrassing.’

Ever since she saw him casually extracting mories from corpses, she had grown too used to that convenient thod. Those words slipped out without thinking.

The two fell silent again, their attention returning to the scene ahead.

At that mont, loud shouts echoed.

"Leader! Deputy Leader!"

The red-robed figures instantly straightened as two figures stepped into the clearing. Their tone carried both respect and excitent.

Wu Chaochang arrived.

He walked at a steady pace, his expression relaxed, but his eyes were sharp. A faint smile hung on his lips, giving him an approachable appearance at first glance.

But the longer one looked, the more unsettling it beca. That smile did not reach his eyes. There was sothing cold hidden beneath it—sothing calculating.

Beside him stood another man, silent and reserved. This was the deputy leader, Number Two. His presence was restrained, his aura hidden. He didn’t speak, but no one underestimated him. Because they were well aware of his strength. Far stronger than them all and just a level below the leader.

Wu Chaochang’s gaze swept across the area before landing on the "teorite."

"No one touched it, right?" he asked calmly.

"No, leader," Number Four stepped forward and answered respectfully. "We’ve been guarding it the entire ti."

"Good."

Wu Chaochang’s smile widened slightly.

"Everyone, stay where you are," he said, waving his hand casually. "Two, co with ."

Number Two didn’t speak, just nodded silently and followed without question. No one found his behaviour strange. He had always been like this—quiet, withdrawn. But efficient when following the leader’s orders.

Wu Chaochang stepped inside. His eyes locked onto the glowing rock at the centre of the crater. By now, the heat had cooled down a bit, but it was still high according to human standards.

Then, after looking at it closely, he laughed.

"Hahaha... finally."

His voice carried a strange excitent.

"This is it. Just as the divination showed..."

His grin deepened.

"The thing that will change my destiny."

Without hesitation, he reached out and grabbed the rock.
