Now reading: Chapter 151: Sword Intent! from The Destiny Villainess Wants Me To Work!, a Fantasy novel by Dakshay.

The atmosphere changed imdiately.

The earlier tension turned sharper, carrying a killing intent. The red-robed figures’ expressions hardened, and even their stances adjusted slightly, as if preparing for battle.

Wu Chaochang, who had been watching until now, finally turned his gaze toward the old man’s face.

Not soone he was familiar with.

His expression didn’t change much. That faint smile still lingered on his lips, but his eyes had beco colder.

"So... the hounds showed up after all."

His gaze moved briefly to the knife still caught between the old man’s fingers, then back to the old man himself.

"Interesting."

"I knew a mber had co to the nearby Jiangnan City on a commission. It seems it was all a façade, and the real target was . But—"

A chilling, killing intent erupted from within him.

"Aren’t they looking down on a bit too much to only send over an outer elder?"

With a crazed look on his face. He continued.

"It seems I need to let those old fogies understand my true strength. Only when they understand my threat will they fear until the day I destroy them."

"Let’s start by killing you."

He waved his hand as a signal for everyone to attack. Just an outer elder is not worth enough for him to make his move. Let his n solve these small troubles.

The mont Wu Chaochang’s hand fell, the red-robed figures moved.

Eight shadows burst forward at once. From numbers three to ten, attacking in perfect coordination.

Their footsteps struck the ground almost simultaneously—thud! thud! thud!—like a single entity splitting into many. Killing intent surged, sharp and suffocating, locking onto the old man from every direction.

Only Wu Chaochang and Number Two remained where they stood, watching with indifference.

The old man from the White Moon Sect did not move imdiately.

He simply turned his head slightly and glanced back at Lin Fan, his expression calm, as if the incoming assault did not exist.

"Young man," he said evenly, "take that person over there and leave this place."

His tone was neither hurried nor tense, yet it carried an undeniable authority.

His eyes flickered with a faint light as he added, "A battle is about to begin. I won’t have the luxury of protecting you."

Lin Fan froze for a brief mont before snapping out of his daze. He clenched his fists and nodded heavily.

"Don’t worry, sir, I—"

He didn’t get to finish his words.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Sharp whistling sounds tore through the air.

Cold light flashed as a barrage of flying daggers shot forward, each one aid precisely at the old man’s vital points—throat, heart, temples, joints. There was no hesitation, no wasted movent.

It was a killing formation. To give him a definite death.

"Haha~!"

Instead of retreating, the old man laughed.

A loud, unrestrained laugh.

"Now this is what I was waiting for!"

His eyes glead with excitent, and his entire deanour shifted in an instant. The frail, aged appearance seed like nothing more than a thin disguise. Beneath it was a sharp aura full of vitality and eager fighting intent.

Yes, to those who haven’t realised. This "old man" was none other than Su Mo.

Using his transformation technique, he had perfectly assud the identity and appearance of a White Moon Sect elder. Even the robes were imitated from what he had seen Zhu Shan wearing back at the Gu Family estate.

It had been an unexpected discovery.

Zhu Shan was actually an Outer Elder of the White Moon Sect.

That explained his arrogance back then.

Though thinking about it now, it wasn’t particularly surprising that he was only an outer elder. At his age, Zhu Shan had only reached Qi Condensation Level Four. That level of cultivation could hardly be considered impressive within a sect. It can be said that he had limited talent.

Su Mo had already seen through it.

However, it wasn’t his business, so that didn’t matter.

What mattered was that he could finally fight to his heart’s content.

After arriving in this world and gaining such power. He has never been able to use them for things other than so small pranks and tricks. Because he never found a qualified opponent, he had to suppress himself.

Miss Yang could have been his opponent. But she ignores him every ti he asks for it.

Helpless, he could only give up. Not like he can force his dear goddess of wealth.

Anyway, he could let go of those restraints and finally make his move.

Though these red-robed figures were not particularly strong. They were at least far better than the so-called "mobs" from before.

The Black Bull Gang, with their crude firearms, were nothing more than noise to him. Compared to cultivators, those weapons weren’t even worth ntioning. In front of his magnetic control, even those firearms are like toys.

From the auras they released, these opponents ranged from Qi Condensation Level Two to Level Five.

Weak, but Su Mo didn’t mind.

As long as he suppressed his own strength to match theirs, this was the perfect opportunity for him to gain real combat experience.

His fingers tightened slightly around the knife.

A faint smile curved across his aged face.

[I’ve been itching to try this for a long ti.]

The incoming daggers were already close, re inches away.

Yet Su Mo remained still.

[First... Transformation Technique.]

Shiing—!

A subtle, almost imperceptible sound echoed.

The short knife between his fingers began to change.

It elongated.

The blade stretched outward, becoming thinner, sharper—its edge gleaming with a cold, refined light. The weight shifted, the balance adjusted in an instant, until what remained in his hand was no longer a knife...

...but a black sword.

A perfectly ford, razor-sharp sword.

[Then... finally...]

His grip tightened.

[Let’s try it... my special ability...]

[Sword Intent!]

In that instant, a sharp aura burst forth. Not violent, but with an absolute clarity that could cut through everything around it.
