Chapter 57 : Bullying Ruthlessly, Then Fleeing in Panic
“Yes, that is it. The expression on your face — you are displeased, aren’t you?”
“You are mistaken,” Eve replied as she stepped back to the bathtub.
Vivian scoffed and muttered that her mouth was unusually stubborn. She did not bother lifting her head, rely tapping the edge of the tub lightly with her fingertips.
Though no order was given, Eve crouched at an appropriate distance so their eyes aligned. Just as she wondered what Vivian intended—
“My things… do you love them that much?”
What things?
Eve froze briefly, then instinctively looked down. The crumpled panties were still resting in her palm — she had been squeezing them like a stress toy.
Without answering, she tossed them precisely into the laundry basket. The maid responsible for washing would handle the rest. Each perford her own duty.
Afterward, Eve’s gaze passed the woman’s exposed shoulders above the water, ignoring the faintly obscured chest beneath strands of hair.
Instead, as if guided by instinct, it settled on the pale neck.
Her otherwise calm face remained unchanged, yet her pupils suddenly shrank. At the sa ti, her teeth felt faintly restless.
Thump.
Her heartbeat amplified, nearly bursting from her chest. Even if only once, it was enough for Eve to realize her condition was heading toward the outco she hated most.
anwhile Vivian continued attacking in her lofty tone, “Even if you threw it away, it does not hide the pitiful truth.”
“Admit it boldly. Beg properly — I might even give it to you. Or do you only like worn ones? How perverse.”
She spoke without noticing anything wrong. Her delicate fingers gripped the tub edge tightly.
“What, struck silent?”
Seeing Eve’s lowered gaze deliberately avoiding her, Vivian grew dissatisfied. She scooped water and splashed it onto Eve’s face.
“What are you daydreaming about?”
Droplets slid down Eve’s bangs and chin. She slowly raised her eyes — and once again they returned to Vivian’s neck.
After a pause she looked away, breathing faster, each word slower and lower. “Nothing. I am rely thinking.”
“What could be more important than ?”
Vivian said irritably. Then she followed Eve’s gaze downward to her own damp chest beneath red hair.
So that was it… her attention was there?
Her lips curved. She shifted closer to the edge of the tub, exposing more.
“You really are hopelessly lustful. Do you… want this?” she murmured enticingly, offering her modest figure as bait.
The sound of water rippled softly. The faint fragrance in the warm air seed magnified, rushing into Eve’s senses.
At the sa ti, the familiar dryness surged wildly in her throat. Her hand gripping the tub tightened further.
A slight crack even ford — the strength obvious. She tried to suppress the rising hunger through force.
This was wrong.
Very wrong.
It had not been long since her last feeding. It should have lasted at least a week. Why now?
Even when it occurred before, it had never been this intense.
The defenseless neck was within reach. If she wished, she could complete a hunt with certainty.
No… reason… stay rational…
Her mind battled itself. She could not do this. She had maintained discipline for so long. She was not like those filthy creatures — absolutely not.
She needed a distraction. Yet she could clearly sense the warm blood flowing within the nearby body — vibrant, alive, sweet.
Opposite her, Vivian had no idea she might be closer to danger than ever before.
Still teasing, still tempting, still absorbed in herself. She lightly touched the back of Eve’s hand, sliding to her wrist with playful grace.
“Answer … is this what you want? Look at yourself — will you keep avoiding it?” she laughed teasingly, deliberately brushing aside her hair to briefly reveal what lay beneath.
“What are you still holding back? I can almost hear your heartbeat. Your composure is laughably false!”
Eve did not respond. Vivian’s expression hardened instantly, returning to commanding sharpness. “Eve! I asked you a question! Are you deaf?!”
“Yes, Young Miss.” Eve swallowed.
Yes… a distraction. Right now there was a perfect target.
Since the desire originated from her, why not follow it — just once?
She steeled herself and decided.
Before Vivian could finish—
Her hand suddenly reached forward, clear in intention, grasping softly at the pale flesh as she wished.
“W-wait! I have not—mm—ah!”
She could not stop the soft sound escaping. Before the previous sensation faded, the hand pressed again with greater force.
Vivian instinctively retreated, all her arrogance gone. But the white-haired maid seized her wrist and pulled her back.
Almost rough. Water splashed between them, running over emotionless crimson eyes and trembling lips.
Vivian panicked, eyes wide. “Let go! I did not allow this!”
But Eve no longer listened. From gripping the wrist she shifted to pressing her back firmly against the tub edge, immobilizing her.
“Eve! I order you—mm…” The words broke as numbness struck again. Her body weakened, tears gathering at the corners of her eyes.
She tried to push away, yet instead her hands weakly pressed against Eve’s shoulders. Eve lowered her head slightly, resting her forehead against her shoulder.
Completely restrained, Vivian could only tilt her head back, their faces extrely close, their breathing disturbingly clear.
After two and a half minutes…
“You bastard! Be gentler!”
Eve’s voice had turned hoarse. “My apologies, Young Miss… please endure a little longer. It will be finished soon.”
