"Yes, Miss. Song. Just like that, gently raise your knee," The physiotherapist, Dr. Long said as she was helping Jia with her treatnt and exercises.
She pressed her palm on the back of her knee and frowned. "I can feel a little swelling there. With your previous sessions at Beijing, the swelling should have gotten reduced. Did you do any physical activity recently?"
Jia touched her chin thoughtfully. "I just had my morning walk, that’s all."
"For how long?"
"An hour?"
"..."
Dr. Long lacked tears to shed. "Miss. Song. With such an injury, you cannot strain your leg that hard. It will never recover at this rate."
"But I am used to walking in the morning..." she awkwardly grinned.
"Your leg needs rest, not a walk. I an you can walk for so fresh air but not for up to an hour!" She shook her head.
Jia suddenly felt a chill at her back that gave her the familiar creeps.
No...
"Well, well, well~" Mingshen’s handso figure leaned against the wall as his eyes glinted at Jia. "Isn’t Spicy so conscious of her health that she would rather aggravate her condition than heal? Spicy, I didn’t know that you were such a masochist."
Jia’s knuckles cracked with a deep urge to kill him. "Why are you here!? Can you not let be at peace in just one place? You are behaving worse than a stalker! Don’t make arrest you on charges of harassnt!"
"How is it harassnt if I am coming to my own hospital?" He arched his brow.
"..."
He laughed at her blank look. "When Mom said that she would arrange your appointnts here, why do you think she wouldn’t do so in a hospital owned by the Yang family~?"
The realization zapped her and her shoulders dropped.
Sobody just kill already...
For the duration of the whole ti of her appointnt, Mingshen stood glued to his place and watched her treatnt. She continued to shoot deathly glares at him the whole ti but nothing affected him.
When it was ti for Jia to leave, she threateningly warned Mingshen. "You follow one more ti and you will find my stick stuck to your face."
She coldly muttered under her breath and left.
Dr. Long exhaled a sigh and nervously asked, "Dr. Yang. Was I doing sothing incorrectly?"
"I wouldn’t be standing still if you were doing anything incorrectly."
She coughed. "Then I don’t think your presence was required during the entire session."
A wicked chuckle rang. "How can my day pass if I don’t get to irritate Spicy?"
"..."
Dr. Yang, you will seriously suffer her wrath one day!

It was supposed to be a sight seeing day for Jia for her to visit Tianjin’s beautiful tourist spots and have a peaceful day to herself. But the murder case back at the hotel continued to make her jittery. She trusted the cops there but being a cop herself, it proved to be difficult to not be able to be a part of the investigation.
She wanted to interrogate the suspects, walk through the cri scene and churn her brain with the possibilities of what could have happened. It was a tantalizing feeling to catch the hiding culprit. But she could only be an observer. Lei Honghui had strictly denied her help.
She sighed.
"The devil can grant all your wishes~"
She knitted her brows and turned. Her gaze darkened with his presence yet again. This ti, she lifted her crutch to land it straight at his face. But he caught it, his black orbs glimring with mischief.
"Do you treat your wish fulfilling devil like this?"
"How are you a wish fulfilling devil when you can’t even grant so alone ti from YOU which I desperately want?" She grimaced.
He chuckled. "That’s a harder wish to fulfill since your animosity is what I live for."
She scoffed.
"Buuut I can fulfill your other wish to work on the director’s case," he tilted his head and grinned.
"Huh?"
"I am Yang Mingshen. If I pull up so connections, I can make you in charge of the case~ Then you get to enjoy your sweet rush of adrenaline."
Her brow twitched. "Don’t make sound like I am an addict."
"Who said adrenaline rush isn’t a kind of addiction?" He laughed rrily.
"I won’t butt into jurisdiction issues. It’s Supervisor Lei’s case, so he will handle it."
"Tch. So afraid of getting on anybody’s bad side."
She dryly said, "It’s called respecting rules and boundaries, but I don’t expect you to know about that."
As she turned, she ca across a flier of Dongjiang Bay Beach where so sort of a fun carnival was held.
Beach!
Her eyes sparkled with joy. Though at the back of her mind, the case continued to poke her, she forced herself to think that she was on a vacation. If she would be in work mode, then what would be the use of her days off?
Yang Bingqing had already booked all the rides she needed for Tianjin’s vacation so the cab arrived outside the hospital in no ti. She hopped in and the cab soon left but not before warning Mingshen.
"Don’t you dare follow again!"
Mingshen watched the cab leave and chuckled.
"Sorry, Spicy. A doctor follows wherever his research subject is~"

Walking on the sandy beach proved to be a grave task for Jia. Sand was not the sa as gravel so it was difficult to find balance with her stick. It would sink in the sand with her almost stumbling now and then. She coughed in embarrassnt with the weird acrobatics she was pulling off for others to get entertained.
The wind blew past her face and walking nearer to the sea, she slowly dipped her feet in the water. A smile shone on her lips with the pleasant chilliness making her feel at ease.
She looked at the far horizon, the sounds of the playing and giggling children falling on her ears. They splashed water and soaked themselves in the sea while their parents chased after them.
She closed her eyes and the gentle mories from the past washed over her.
"Mom, let’s play in the water, no?" Little Jia rrily tugged at her mother, who was holding a toddler Lihua in her arms.
"Aish, I need to be with your sister."
"Then let her play too! We will play together!"
"She is too small to play in the water, dear," she laughed.
"Baaaaaa~" Lihua excitedly jumped on Song Lan’s lap.
Jia pouted.
Song Wuying lifted her and grinned. "Let your mother and sister enjoy the sun and we father and daughter enjoy the water~"
Little Jia bead. "Yay!"
*Splash Splash!*
The sound of the water splashes filled the air and so did their laughter. The waves crashed at them and the lodious laughter rang louder and louder.
"Don’t leave my side okay, Jia? The water is dangerous there."
"Jia?"
"Jia? Don’t go to that side."
"You will drown yourself!"
"Jiaaa!"
Jia inhaled a startled breath and a sudden jerk pulled her up. Her eyelids blinked rapidly, baffled and disoriented with the sun’s rays suddenly blinding her. The blurry face before her slowly turned clearer.
"See? My stalkerish habits are not so useless, after all~"
