Mingshen looked at his employee being pushed into the police car and he looked at Jia. "How can I bribe you for his bail?"
Jia threw him a glare. "He almost killed a man."
"That man almost killed his precious bed," he pouted.
"You cannot be serious right now."
"I am always extrely serious when I am with you Spicy~"

From the corner of her eye, she saw ng Rin coming out. She walked to her side and asked, "Are you okay, ng Rin?"
ng Rin bit her lower lip, watching Bai Yingtai being hauled away. "I-I am fine..."
"I understand you are going to the hospital now. But we might need you to co to the bureau soti for your testimony."
"Of course..."
Jia smiled and assured her. From behind ng Rin, she saw the man in the wheelchair accompanied by his bodyguard and another man. The bodyguard held the sa stone cold expression like the day at the amusent park.
"You are also coming, right Zihan!" Fei Nanyou waved his hand. His gaze fell on Mingshen, and it darkened.
He frowned. "Do I have to?"
"How could you!? Tengqi is our good friend!"
"The Hou family would have already reached the hospital by now. And you are there too."
Zhuo Syaoran smiled. "You should go. He is right. As close families, you should definitely be there."
Zhuo Zihan wasn’t really so thrilled, but he agreed. "Okay."

Cui Shin only stared at Jia without much response. Jia was slightly taken aback.
She is quite young to retire from the military...
Mingshen yawned. "Yes, hi hello ti is over so we will leave. Spicy and I are on a very important mission and we don’t need ad breaks for entertainnt."
Jia shot him a glare.

Zhuo Syaoran said, "My apologies."

Mingshen’s eyes squinted. Jia glared at him and asked, "Why were you so rude to him?"
"I don’t like him."
"You don’t like anyone but yourself," she grimaced. "Anyway, did you manage to nab the leader?"
"He ran away but I will find him. I gave him a cute love bite with my scalpel~" he innocently blinked.
Jia cursed in her mind.

She clenched her fists hard as she gritted her teeth.

Thinking back about the conversation with Mrs. Lai, she let out an uneasy breath.

Though Yong was still a lead Jia could chase after, she wasn’t sure if she would find her anymore.

"You are tired and sohow I feel that you are thinking about useless things in your head."

His eyes narrowed. "Are you probably blaming yourself that you didn’t do well enough tonight?"
That felt like an arrow shot straight through the heart of the matter. Her mouth twitched and she shook her hand away.
"It’s a bumr, yes, that we lost them, but I am not being so self-deprecating or depressing. All is not lost. We still have the cult mbers we have caught. We can find our way through them."
"I understand that, but do you?"
His sharp, pointed question rendered her speechless.
"Why are you being so annoying tonight? I am fine really. Missions don’t always go as planned. I am aware of that," she looked away."

"I am not!" She snapped. "Ugh, leave alone!"
From afar, she caught Huojin’s sight and sighed in relief.
Finally!
"Huojin!" She waved her hand.
He paused and started walking towards their direction. "Hey."
"Xiyang said that you were out catching a woman who escaped?"
"Yes..."
"Did you find her?"
He cleared his throat. "Nope. Unfortunately, she slipped past . She was quite agile."
"And you think you aren’t? Nobody can beat you in a chase. You seriously lost her?"
"Yup. I am sorry," he awkwardly said.
"Don’t worry about it."
"On the bright side," Mingshen chirped. "We all let our targets escape tonight? Isn’t this such a wonderful coincidence? You are not alone Spicy~"
She scowled. "We don’t need that comntary!"
Huojin asked, "Who did you all lose?"
Mingshen proudly said, "The ringmaster. But I will catch him soon enough~"
"Hopefully. And you?"
"Yong."
"Who?"
Her brow twitched. "You two should at least try to rember the main people involved in the cases we solved before."
Jia gave a second dose of Yong’s identity reminder, this ti to Huojin.
"...Huh," Huojin stared at her, "That’s interesting..."
