The Devil Doctor's Spicy Love Chapter 254: Selective vacation

Jia broke from her stupor. "What? What plotting? You are the only one who plots shady things here."

"There is sothing definitely cooking in your mind," his eyes narrowed. "Your passionate gaze makes feel molested for so reason but I am all up for it."

She threw a dry stare at him. "Who would even want to molest you?"

His eyes widened. "All won? I am a rare specin, you know."

"All won minus ."

Ehuang coughed.

"Anyway, where is Shilin?"

"My tingling senses said that you will definitely feel tempted to co to our love nest, that’s why I already summoned him in the office~ I am so smart, right? Right?"

Jia smiled at Ehuang. "Gotta go. Work calls. See you later."

"Bye sis!"

"Spicy, I said sothing."

"Ah? What?" She put her hand behind her ear, "Did you say sothing? Sorry, today is the day when my ears are on a selective vacation."

"Selective vacation?" Ehuang blinked curiously.

"Yes, dear. My ears selectively filter only those conversations that I want to hear. The rest is thrown into oblivion."

"..."

Mingshen chirped. "Obviously my sexy voice must be at the top of your unfilter list, right?"

"Ah? You say sothing?" She shook her head helplessly. "Seems like you top the filter charts."

Mingshen sneered. "So should I get a pen and paper now?"

"Oh I forgot to tell you that my eyes are on a selective vacation too."

"..."

"Also, the filter doesn’t have any expiry date."

He scoffed. "Just you wait. I will get on that unfilter list in no ti. Resistance to my existence is like defying the laws of nature."

Ehuang giggled. "That’s why it’s so much fun to be around Dr. Yang. He is funny."

Jia choked and then burst into a hearty laughter. "That was a good one."

Mingshen dangerously squinted his eyes at Ehuang as if he was about to scold her. But then his gaze lit up and he gave her a thumbs up.

"You are getting good at subtle roasting. I like it. Now, I also expect you to slowly learn the art of roasting people right in their faces till they bleed from their eyes, ears, nose and mouth. That joy is simply ecstatic."

Ehuang’s brow twitched.

As they reached Mingshen’s office, Shilin greeted them. "Good morning, Miss. Song."

"Good morning. Shilin."

"S-sis I am here too!"

Bojing hopped in to hug her. The warm fluff of a ball soothed Jia’s heart. "I can never miss you. I can miss your Boss but not you."

"Those eyes need a checkup, Spicy."

"Ah?" She pointed at her ear again, making his brow twitch.

Jia then ignored Mingshen and focused on Shilin. "I guess your Boss must have filled you in..." her gaze fell on a small notepad on Mingshen’s table.

Shilin gave a slow nod. "You saw Yong disguised as a man and assisting the cult’s leader."

"Yes. Since you know Yong, I thought to ask you. Did you have any suspicions that she could be involved in so shady group?"

Shilin shook his head. "No, Miss. Song. It has co as a shocker to too. She certainly didn’t act in any suspicious way. She is just like any other student in college."

Jia tapped her fingers against her pocket and she cleared her throat. "Not anymore, unfortunately."

Bojing nervously asked, "Y-Yong didn’t look l-like a bad person a-at the amusent park..."

Mingshen yawned, leaning back on his chair. "People don’t wear their true intentions on their faces like clothes, my dear assistant."

He burst into tears. "I-I still think we must b-be missing sothing..."

Jia said, "Not sothing, all of it. How much do you know about her?" She asked, tearing her sight away from his desk and looking back at Shilin.

"She is a very private person. Even in college, she mostly remains aloof."

"And of course, she must have not co to college today, right?"

"At least I didn’t see her."

"She won’t be that foolish. I think she knows that I recognized her. For the sa reason, she won’t be at ho either. But just to be double sure, I still went and checked before I ca here. She wasn’t at ho. Her landlord doesn’t know anything either."

"I see."

"Do you know sothing - anything where she might have gone? Anybody in college she talks to even a little bit?

"Hmm, I have sotis seen her talking with Daxia and Beiye. Not frequently but they hang out at tis. Maybe they would know sothing," he gave a small hopeful smile.

Daxia, Beiye...

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea. Sothing is better than nothing. I will catch up with them then," she muttered to herself. Her gaze drifted away to that small notepad again.

Mingshen waved his hand to shoo off Shilin and Bojing. "Yeah, your work is done here. Go and do my job now."

"What job?"

"Find the leader?"

"And they are gonna find him... how exactly?"

Mingshen bead. "Didn’t I tell you that I gave him a love bite last night?"

Jia wanted to throw up. "Can you please not use such misleading phrases!?"

He pouted. "It’s fun. Anyway~ Basically I gave him a pretty decent injury. He must have definitely checked in at a hospital to get himself treated. We just have to find out which hospital."

"What if he treats himself at ho or soplace else?"

"See, that’s the beauty of my work," he smirked. "Tibial nerve. That’s where I stabbed him with my scalpel. It’s a very important nerve. It can cause of loss sensation or motor function if not treated imdiately, which will definitely require hospital apparatus. He has to be in a hospital~"

Shilin and Bojing exited after Mingshen shooing them off for the second ti. Jia said. "I will also go and et Daxia and Beiye..."

Averting her gaze, she reached out for the door too when Mingshen’s shadow enveloped her from the back. He closed the door back shut and trapped Jia in between his arms and the door.

"Um...what is going on?"

His husky voice reverberated in her ears. "You are not going anywhere, Spicy. We need to do so dirty talk now."
