Bojing stared at Shilin standing before him in a daze. "Shilin...?"
He rubbed his eyes once to confirm if he was hallucinating or not.
"It’s r-really you! W-What are you doing here?"
Shilin coughed in embarrassnt. "Ah well...so of my university friends dragged here. They got to know from so sources that there is so kind of a festival in Huayuan so they wanted to see it and of course *ahem* et so beautiful won on their way too."
Bojing blushed. "Ah..."
He looked around and asked, "B-But are you alone now?"
"They are down at the plaza sowhere cheering in the crowd. I ca to check out this building on my own. I thought it was a little peaceful here."
He nodded and bead. "I-It is. The view from here is so pleasant! It’s like y-you can see all of Huayuan from here."
Shilin smiled. "True. I got the sa feeling."
He then asked, "But why are you alone, Senior Lu? I thought you were with Boss and Miss. Song."
Bojing burst into tears. "I-It is shaful ofe b-but I got lost...A little girl led the w-way here so that I c-could find them from a higher place."
"I see."
"Beautiful brother, I am back!" Danya happily waved her arm as she was accompanied by her mother, Wenqian.
Wenqian narrowed her eyes at Bojing and Shilin. She clearly rembered Bojing from Danya’s kidnapping case.
"What are you doing here?"
"Mom!" Danya pouted. "I told you about eting beautiful brother just now," she whined. "How can you forget already?"
"Because he was with that cop last ti and I don’t like cops. So how did he get in here?"
"Of course the leader allowed him, that’s why!" She chirped.
Wenqian remained silent.
Shilin slightly bowed. "Hello."
Bojing sniffled with Wenqian’s hostility. "H-Hello. I am s-sorry for coming here and t-troubling you..."
Danya said, "Beautiful brother is always welco here~ Because you are so beautiful!"
Danya is so kind...His heart felt overwheld with joy.
Wenqian asked, "So does that an that cop is here too?"
Bojing swallowed a gulp and averted his gaze.
"Ah...wait a minute. Are you here to find Yong? I had heard about it," she asked in a severe voice.
Bojing shivered and slowly snaked his way to hide behind Shilin. "Y-Yes...We are h-here to find her f-for an important case."
He gathered so courage and asked, "H-Have you seen her anywhere?"
She blasted at him. "Why should I tell you! You cops only know how to squeeze us for your own benefit and you expect cooperation from our side!?"
He jolted with her lashing out and tears rolled down his cheeks. "I-I am so s-sorry for my-"
"Um..." Shilin intervened.
Wenqian shot him a glare. "What?"
He politely smiled. "I understand your anger and frustration but Senior Lu is not at fault here."
"So I should answer him like I am so servant of his!?"
Bojing’s face turned white. "No-No! I d-don’t dare to treat y-you as my s-servant or anything like that."
Danya placed her little palms on her waist and flared her nostrils. "Mom, don’t be rude to beautiful brother! It was him who fought with those bad n and saved like this!" She imitated so of his punches and moves.
"You should not be rude towards the people who help you is what the leader says," she nodded.
Bojing felt a heated and piercing gaze from Wenqian and he quickly withdrew his peeking head, hiding behind Shilin once again.
Wenqian muttered a string of curses under her breath.
Danya flailed her arms up. "Now that everyone is happy, let us enjoy the festival from here~ It has the best view~"
Bojing - "..."
He cried.

"I think the last ti I saw Yong, she went in this general direction..." Jia said, while trying to recall the various alleys she passed through to chase her.
"What do you think?"
Jia turned to get Mingshen’s opinion but the said devil was occupied eating cotton candy. He was standing in front of a sweets stall, happily munching on the fluffy cotton threads.
"..."
Jia reached his side and folded her arms.
Mingshen bead. "Do you want one too? Or maybe we can share from the sa stick~"
"Why are you eating that right now?"
"Taking a break after running around all those alleys~ Ti to get so of that energy back~" he chuckled.
"We don’t have the ti."
"We have all the ti we want, Spicy. If she wanted to escape, then she would have long gone from here with the first whisper of you looking for her. But she is still here so escape is not her gaplan."
Her brows knitted. "Still, we cannot be so lax."
"Overworking is a sin, Spicy," he smiled. "Don’t you feel like enjoying the festivities?"
"We have a case to work upon."
"And the reason we are here is not running anywhere. So, so!"
He pushed the fluffy cotton ball in front of her lips, a sweet aroma reaching her nostrils. Jia was forced to open her mouth and he imdiately grabbed the chance to invade her tongue with the cotton candy.
"Mmpff!"
She glared at him at first but as the sweet cotton delicacy lted on her tongue, she found herself lting with that deliciousness too. She covered her lips and gulped it.
"Want another bite~?" His eyes twinkled.
She cleared her throat. "No, thanks. We should be professional during a mission."
Though it was evident that her eyes were betraying her wishes.
"Aish, so not honest at all," he pouted.
He bought another cotton candy stick and stuffed it right into her hands against her resistance. "Who says that work cannot be fun~"
Jia stared at the feathery cotton and slightly pressed her lips. "...W-Well I don’t have a choice but to accept it if you just force stuff into people’s hands, right?"
Mingshen stared at her and burst into a chuckle.
"W-What?"
"Nothing~ Just one of the many tis when I find you adorable."
